Re the House there was a time last year (after the debt ceiling fiasco & the government shutdown) that things were looking VERY good as far as Dems retaking the House. But you're right about the historical precedent. No party has ever regained the majority during the 6th year. I'll be satisfied tho if they can net half the amount needed and then if/when Hillary runs in 2016 it will be a tidal wave of Democratic voters ready to retake the House. As for the Senate I'm pinning my hopes on the Kentucky race. I have a feeling that its going to be very very close. Its hard to get a read on how well Allison Lundergan Grimes is doing as a candidate but from what I hear she's okay and is raising a lot of money so I think she'll be very competitive. The Georgia race is also going to be interesting. West Virginia I'm not too sure about but we'll see. Scott Brown is playing with fire in New Hampshire...if he runs and loses his entire political career is over I think. So I wonder if he's really willing to do that or be patient and run for president in 2016. Ultimately he knows he'll be labeled a carpetbagger in NH and he might not even make it past the primary....decisions decisions...

Kim is here cuz she's comedic relief and she's related to Kyle. I also think Andy Cohen feels bad/sorry for her and wants her to succeed and continue on this path to recovery. I happen to agree/see his POV (if indeed that is part of the reason why he keeps her around). While I agree her storyline is so useless and that dog is psychotic and needs to be put down I have a soft spot for Kim and will always welcome her back to RHOBH so long as she wants to return. And yeah Lisa's outfit at Kyle's show was beyond stunning. That white top with the center flower was just amazing and she looked even younger than ever which is incredible. I thought both Joyce and Brandi did well on the runway.. As for Brandi I could be friends with her but her overall trashy behavior and cursing like a sailor for no reason would get old very quick. And I did NOT say it was okay for her ex to cheat on her. I only said that I could understand his motivation given what might have been occurring at home. And despite what people might think I don't think its just as easy as pie to say "I'm Done" and walk out the door when there are two kids involved....despite Brandi's antics he prob stayed for the kids and to maintain the image for as long as possible for their sakes. He is a douchebag but at the same time he's a father. So excited for this RHONY trailer you have no idea....Ramona baby I'M READY. Re Kim: Hey its Andy/Bravo's money. If they weren't interested they would have dropped her a long time ago. And she's harmless and hardly takes time away from Lisa, Brandi, Joyce, and Yolanda so I'm okay with it. Frankly they could have dropped Carton's strange useless butt and featured another girl or kept the girl from last season....Kyle's friend who basically hated her husband. That b*tch would have fire this season.

There's plenty of women who are fierce, independent women who can and do demand respect but don't have to act a hot mess the whole time. Joyce summed up when she she said that she's negative. If the Brandi we're seeing onscreen is the same Brandi that Eddie Cibrian had to live with and deal with on a daily basis is it any wonder that he cheated on her the first chance he got and repeatedly at that? I'm not say cheating is right but his motives were certainly understandable if the situation at home was that toxic. Brandi really needs to calm down and listen to what people like Yolanda and Lisa are saying...and yes even Joyce. She's such a funny, vivacious, beautiful woman but she needs to recognize how to play the game and act in public. There's a time to pull the trigger and there's a time to holster the weapon....

So why is Brandi STILL single then? And you're kidding yourself if you think Brandi's behavior is lady like or even remotely attractive or cute. There's a difference between being edgy, bold, and knowing when to not take sh*t and then being completely vulgar just for the sake of it. Lastly I never claimed anyone won the argument but I do think Brandi came off looking worse in it. At least she had the decency to leave the dinner party and cry about it. She looked mildly remorseful in the limo with Yolanda before she left. Loved Joyce's little tea date with Lisa. And her blog is just so sweet and she's spot on.

It's really unfortunate though that this year the Republicans might actually make gains in the Senate as well as retain the House....unless the economy is firing on all cylinders, the Affordable Care Act continues to improve and gets even significantly better, and there's another big debt ceiling fight which ends badly for the Republicans I see little possibility of the Democrats doing very well this election year. Much as I've come to dislike most of Politico because of their obvious desire for a return to the glory days of Republican dominance, I can't help but acknowledge that the deck is pretty much stacked against the President and unless he's got a few hidden surprises and a lot of factors break his way, 2014 is looking like 2010 all over again... The worst part though is that it may change Hillary Clinton's mind about running for President. Much as I want her to do so, its going to be very difficult to run as a Dem if the economy is still in the doldrums and the President's approval continues to drop...

Joyce looks like Kim K in that pic and a little like Gabby from Days...so weird. But she's beautiful. Going to catch up on RHOBH right now.... This conversation that YoYo is having with girl Brandi? BOTH her and Lisa should have sat her a$$ down at the end of last years reunion to do that. Its just ridiculous. Yes the f-bomb once in a while is warranted but Brandi needs to reign it in. I'll be honest with you I don't have the time right now to read all those articles in depth to see if the author actually calls Bill or Hillary Clinton a "racist". From what I recall, not a single person in the mainstream media actually said that Bill Clinton or his wife was a racist....unless you're including any every lightweight out there who has a blog online or a column for one small website or the other and I'd assume it was a very very small percentage of people who actually used that term. As for the other Democratic icons you mentioned....Hillary didn't have cancer (at least that we know of) and she definitely didn't die while Bill was in office having his affair. Most importantly of all Hillary forgave him and frankly it didn't affect Bill Clinton's performance as President. Considering the absolutely slow (and I use the word slow just as a sign of respect cuz other words pop into my head when I think of Dubya) who inherited the White House after him I'd say that his dalliance with Monica means little and less with every passing day. JFK is revered for what he did as President. Not because of his private life matters. Yes I've heard about his affairs (who hasn't?) but he was dealing with a lot as President and he wasn't the first President and nor was the last to ever have an affair. I respect him cuz of the times he was living in and his ability to handle the issues of those times. I'll admit that I know absolutely nothing about Ted Kennedy and whatever acts you're referring to.....but as others have said the man was the Lion of the Senate and dedicated practically his entire life to public service. So until I know more about Ted Kennedy I will continue to remember him fondly. RE Biden: I don't know if Biden apologized but he only said what a lot of black people feel deep down. The only problem is that he's in the public spot light. But don't kid yourself. There's a large swath of the Republic Party that IF they had the power would love nothing more than to deport all the illegal immigrants and return to the good ole days of Antebellum slavery. And I believe that 100%. We just saw what that idiot from Duck Dynasty said about the African American's he knew growing up "didn't mind" being chains or something to that effect recently. So yeah I had no problem with Joe Biden's statement and I honestly laughed so hard when he said it cuz oddly enough it is the truth and absolutely hysterical when you think about the year and age we're living in.

No one said the "Clinton's are racists" We said that they were using racial tactics and making some very suspect remarks (and frankly it was only Bill Clinton that people were talking about). And the only time I was really angry at Bill Clinton was during South Carolina. I never called him racist. No one I know of called him or Hillary that. Neither did anyone in the media so stop with that. You're trying to revise the 2008 campaign on the Democratic side. Yes it was a hard fought and at times ugly bitter primary but it never reached the point where either side was never going to vote for the other candidate. And Hillary Clinton gave such an incredible speech at the convention that year that any ill will I had towards her husband vanished by the time then Senator Obama was the formal nominee for president.... As for your weak attempt to bring Edwards into this I think DRW50 has already addressed it perfectly but I'll just reiterate.... John Edwards is not even mentioned in the Democratic Party and he will never be a factor in the Democratic Party. Edwards doesn't have a cult following and worshipping his every move and statement blindly. John Edwards is not a contributor to MSNBC or CNN. John Edwards is not out there attacking the head figured of the Republican Party on a daily basis like Mama Grizzly does to President Obama. Lastly I think 99.9% of Democrats and humanity in general was completely sickened by what he did to Elizabeth (may she RIP). Case Closed

As another said she's entertaining plain and simple. However to me and plenty of others her songs are either really good because of the beats/sounds, the lyrics and their deeper meaning, or a combination of both. For my part she gave me I'm a Slave 4 U, Circus, Circus, Gasoline, Toxic, Gimme More, Ooh La La, CRAZY (till this day I absolutely lose it when this song comes on), Baby One More Time and I'm sure there's more I've totally forgotten. Britney Spears has accomplished SO MUCH in her career and while this latest outing completely bombed that doesn't diminish her standing in my eyes and it doesn't mean she's not a good singer. No one has ever said she's the best vocalist out there but she's got a talent for entertaining and ultimately she's the face of the final product and she delivers what she needs to...so kudos to her.

I can just imagine Kim balancing 3 brats while chain smoking and shouting at Sweetie and Kroy.....while she says some questionable (at best) things I still find her absolutely hilarious to laugh at and look forward to her getting into it with the rest of the cast...especially Kenya.

How can you say that when her album flopped big time? Clearly either her fanbase is gone or they've moved on to different things because they sure as heck didn't buy this album or express any on the ground interest in it. The numbers speak for themselves...between the very poor album sales and the random E documentary (which I only ran across because a cousin was flipping thru channels in boredom and stumbled upon it that night) its clear that she's at best on shaky ground. She got no where near the level of press that Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, or even Lady Gaga got in the run up to this article....lets not even mention Beyonce who overnight became the focus of the the music media market for a solid two weeks with her secret album. I really like Britney Spears and love a lot of her music but this latest outing could be a death knell....but I say that fully admitting that its been said before and she managed to come back with Circus so who knows what the future holds for her....

I have no idea why Vincent is on the show. He's frankly not attractive at all and his relationships with Phoebe and George just ring very inauthentic to me. I just don't get it.... I never noticed how big a presence Frazier has become to the show. Especially now that he's attached to so many characters on the show...T, Sandy & The Roscoes, Trevor, and Clare's sister (who's name eludes me at the moment). I absolutely loathe Danny and since the writers have practically made JP a whore, he might as well start fooling around with Ste. Character can't get any lower in terms of quality for me. I say go for it (hot torrid affair under Danny's nose) and then pull out all the stops to get Craig back by Summer of 2104. They dropped Darren being Sandy's son as quickly as they revealed it which is annoying. But perhaps they'll revisit that later. Mercedes needs to get over Dr. Death. Its beyond pathetic at this point. Yes it was hot while it lasted and I think they could have been perfect for each other but for the fact that he was a psychotic lunatic who tried to kill her mother and then attempted to kill HER.
