HBO's Looking
True it almost felt like he was forcing himself on Patrick and the minute Patrick answered the phone I already knew that he was going to be "called back" into the office and I pretty much assumed it was going to be under false pretexts. The fact that they had sex right there on the floor in the work environment was a little disturbing to me as well..it That scene should have been sweet and touching in some ways but it just made both characters look kinda weak and very pathetic (especially on Patrick's part). The actual act itself (which was hot) aside I can understand why some people would plain hate both of them and not care one way or the other. My main issue with the show is the pacing and the claims that the characters make which just don't jive with the overall timing of the episodes. Richie says they "rushed" into it but really in the span of 8 episodes the two of them didn't do much to qualify as "rushing it" in my opinion. And given how slow the show can be at times I just wasn't sure if i bought that claim...

HBO's Looking
It started out hot and then ended very weird....which was expected. Basically Patrick whored himself out to Kevin...crass I know but I see no other way of putting it. Whats even worse is that I get the impression deep down that he knew Kevin wasn't going to let go of his boyfriend and that this was probably going to end up being a hush hush type of thing and yet he still did it.... Whatever his justifications it still reeks to me...esp since not a few hours earlier he was practically begging Richie to take him back. At least he spared the poor Latino boy from anymore heartache and admitted that he wasn't in love with him. That scene was so moving tho....I really connected with Richie about the pride part....I know all too well how much pride can get inbetween two people....

Queer as Folk
So true....I found the first opening trashy at first but I grew to like/understand it (even though I'm sure there were plenty of better songs/musical background they could have used)... All this talk about the show makes me want to watch but I'm afraid it will depress me when I get to the Ben/Michael scenes....

Grey's Anatomy: Discussion Thread
Its been so long (which makes me realize how quickly my life is flying by lol) but if I remember correctly he didn't exactly help himself with some of his public statements and actions after the incident occurred. Plus I know none of us were actually there to witness it but I remember there being a physical aspect to it in addition to the verbal abuse/derogatory word he used. I do agree with your point but for me if he had simply apologized publicly and in private to TR he might have been able to keep his job. And there was this one awards ceremony that he said something off the rails that I was just like "HUH" and knew it was over for him. But yeah Yang deserves nothing but the best for her farewell but now I worry that the show will lose its one lifeline. Cuz God knows Mer and Der are not giving me life these days. The interns are just not that engaging or as interesting as the Alex/Izzie/Mer/George/Yang crew were. The middle/older set of doctors is alright but if Owen is leaving that leaves Callie whos not as funny as she used to be and Arizona who's gone coocoo for coco puffs lately. I feel like I'm forgetting someone...OH Bailey....smdh...that in of itself says it all about that once glorious character.

Grey's Anatomy: Discussion Thread
I honestly miss Burke and while what Washington did was horribly wrong I think he apologized and enough time has gone by for him to return without much drama....at least I hope. Is Yang leaving with Owen? I honestly don't know how he could ever be with her after the abortion....much as I love Yang I just couldn't forgive someone who did that to me.

Do you guys think Patrick will end up single by the end of the season finale? More importantly I guess...do you WANT Patrick to be single by season end? I say yes since with only one episode left I see no way for them to really resolve the current situation so that its clear one way or another who Patrick should go with for the time being....

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I think they're talking about Lisa's body language and her supposed guilt regarding "Tabloidgate" which to me is probably the biggest mountain out of a mole hill situation to ever occur in RH's history.... Like its really not that serious Kyle. You know Lisa and even if it were true you know she was probably joking (horrible joke I know and Lisa should apologize) but at the same time Kyle really needs to chill and learn how to not let this petty bs from the tabloids get to her. Shes married to a wonderful hot husband and has an army of insanely gorgeous and intelligent daughters right before her. Now all she has to do is get a nice mansion and she'd be golden. I miss the days when Adrienne would just cross the street to visit Lisa though.... God those houses were just incredible.

Queer as Folk
Michael was pretty bad season 1 but I think we all reach stages in our lives where we just hang onto we know we can't have or shouldn't be with.... Brian wasn't perfect but I still found him real and human and ultimately I think he was a good person....

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
By "open her house" I mean friendship and actually I do mean her house...they might be on the same show but its not like Lisa had to invite Brandi over to her house for tea or brunch or to get to know one another....Lisa did all that because she felt a little empathy (or sympathy however you want to put it) for Brandi and her situation. And Lisa thought they had a connection I guess. All I'm saying that Brandi clearly had everything to gain from this relationship while Lisa could have gone either way....
-
Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Lol just look at Brandi's own comments since she joined the show back in Season 2. The way she was talking you'd think she was one step away from destitution after Eddie left her for that whore. And I don't think Lisa is loaded like Bill Gates or Bloomberg but compared to Brandi she might as well be in my mind. The main point though is that Lisa (and Ken) opened her house up to Brandi and this is how she repaid them.... Just seems so crazy and ungrateful.....

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I honestly can't pinpoint this either....it must have been sometime between last season and this season (after the last reunion).....cuz clearly Yolanda did say something negative about Lisa during that trip to Paris which is still shocking to me at this moment. I mean we all thought the Richards sisters were making it up to protect Kim but looking back at it Kim was already exposed as looking a hot mess. Lying about Yolanda wouldn't have done her any good at the time or changed that fact. So I do think there's a bit of truth to what they were saying. Either way Yolanda clearly decided somewhere along the line that she didn't need Lisa or was on equal footing with her. The notion is laughable at best. The best part about that trailer is Ken laying on that guilt THICK to Brandi. Girl has no idea of what she's lost. Lisa was her best advocate and probably the one person in Beverly Hills who could have help this woman get her life together, make some smart investments, and actually become moderately successful/wealthy within the next 10 years....what does she do instead? She jumps on the "Lisa is a Evil Manipulator Mastermnid" bandwagon with Kyle and Yolanda and now she's looking absolutely foolish. I don't think Lisa and especially Ken will EVER forgive Brandi for this and while that breaks my heart I don't blame them one iota....

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
You know what I've noticed about her that irks the hell out of me? The absolute hypocrisy. She accuses Joyce of not allowing others to talk (Brandi in this case) but she does the SAME thing in 3/4 of the arguments she engages in! She hurled the same accusation at Kyle last year and also at Camille during that dinner they had in Las Vegas I believe. If you want people to allow you to speak then you should do the same thing. Her whole attitude has just changed and this constant referral to Lyme Disease is so annoying. In the grand scheme of things its NOT the worst thing that could have happened to Yolanda and whats worse is that she at least has the money and resources to fight the condition. I'm sure there are plenty of people who would never stand a chance. So really she needs to get off that one trick pony and come up with a new line of attack against Lisa.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I'm just hoping Yolanda and Brandi get what they both deserved...Kim is a non-factor but trying. Love Joyce and I hope she gives Yolanda the fire that she deserves. Carlton's little mean streak towards Kyle is a little too much for me but I did like her supporting Lisa in the last episode. I don't understand Brandi...like at all. I don't get what she's saying....more importantly I don't understand WHY she's saying these things. How have Lisa and Ken NOT been the best of friends to this b*tch?

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
This last episode of BH was SOOOO GOOD though....God that final scene with Lisa and Ken preparing for battle...fantastic!!!! All the family interactions were really sweet and Yolanda was bearable when she was with Gigi although I think she's deny Gigi the chance at being a normal girl and experience dorm life. But hey to each his own. I still think its weird that Gigi's dad couldn't spare one day to move his own daughter into college in a brand new city? Ummm okay...lol Brandi and her family was sweet. Love that she got them a car and how appreciative they were of it. The finale looks intense. I hope Lisa doesn't back down but does apologize to Kyle and they get some closure....

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Watching BH now....lol at how desperate Yolanda is to keep this train rolling on. This lady just loves stirring the sh*t. The difference between her and Brandi and is that Brandi genuinely feels hurt and betrayed and it shows on her face. With Yolanda its nothing but pure calculation. She doesn't feel like Lisa has let her "in" and so now she's trying to pay her back by turning everyone against her. I do feel for Kyle tho and I agree that she should get a direct clear apology for Lisa. Maurico also has a right to be upset but his beef should be with Ken and settled privately. I think Kim's talking heads are veering back into loony territory. Disappointed she turned into such a child with Ken and couldn't even send the text apologizing nor did she express remorse that they left. I don't blame Lisa and Ken for leaving but they should have contacted Joyce before they left.... EDIT: Yolanda claims that Mohammed couldn't come to New York to move in one of his daughters into college? What a fiasco of a lie. What man and father wouldn't want to be present for that event?

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Oh my at Kims ex....but all the Kim jokes aside I can see why she pulled that one. The Richards sisters look very well for their age IMO. Not as smooth as Yolanda perhaps in the skin but still not rough like Carlton. As for Yolanda I talk about her because she's clearly on the show and has made her known with her attacks on Lisa. If not for that I wouldn't know what her storyline is or what she's doing aside from slaving away at the altar of David. Its clear that aside from battling Lyme disease, her lemons, and her daughters there's really not much going on there.... Meanwhile Lisa has her businesses and a whole host of other things to do....

HBO's Looking
I actually did watch a little of OLTL during the Fish and Oliver storyline....Scott Evans looks so different on Looking. But that may have been due to the distance and camera angle. I honestly couldn't tell it was him! Lol the sister was so disrespectful. I thought the father's speech was a little callous in regards to Patrick. The jokes about the dress and having someone to play golf with were a little too extra IMO. Anyways the show is finally getting steam and we only have one episode left which is kinda depressing. I may have to pick up Dallas now just to have something interesting to tide me over till Game of Thrones....

HBO's Looking
LOL yeah I now understand...I was wondering if the guy Patrick pointed out to his boss Kevin (the neighbor across the street who seemed chill at home but ignored him at school and Patrick was pressed about that). Scott Evans....not related to Chris Evans (Captain American)? Either way though he was pretty hot. I found myself wondering if he was also gonna play a bigger role next season. I still think Kevin and John looked a little strained at the party. I rewatched the episode last night and just that part where the sister suggests that John propose to Kevin seemed very awkward.

Preach..... Yolanda wants to come for Lisa along with the rest of the snarling pitbulls and she doesn't think Lisa's man is gonna call her out on her absolute BULL!? Please girl. Shes so irrelevant its not even funny. And David is no crown jewel please.... Can't wait to watch tonight....

I'm confused....your friend is the whore Aug hired or the old neighbor of Patricks who he called the c word? Both are good looking. The whore is a little too sketch for my tastes.

The Politics Thread
What makes you so certain that for some of those people it wasn't about religious freedom? Is the next step that gay people will have the right to go into any church and demand to be married? I'm not saying that there are people who were using it as a cover for prejudice but for those that weren't I think they deserve to be acknowledged as well. And for me it has nothing about shaming other gays. I have own views as a gay person and they don't have to agree with every single other gay person out there. For one thing I don't agree with transsexuality. Sorry I just don't. I think God made us man or woman and that's how we were meant to be. So while this law in Arizona was vaguely worded and might have had more negative effects than positive I think the underlying philosophical argument/debate should be had. Again I ask why would anyone want to give their money to and a force a business that doesn't feel comfortable with their sexuality to do the service? Is it right that that baker in whatever state is now bankrupt? To me I think the answer is no.

HBO's Looking
Dom has been very annoying the last few episodes. Esp with this Lyn (probably misspelled his name). For someone who is getting such a lucky break in terms of funding and connections he's doing his best to push his business partner away....and all because he didn't fall for his magic you know what. What did you guys think about the boss and his boyfriend at the wedding? Was I just seeing things?

Is Beverly Hills on tonight? I'm kinda trapped in the books at the moment....so I'll have to catch up tomorrow assuming a new episode airs.
