  1. The Victor/Adam thing, at minimum, can at least be seen as a proper preview (barely), but what kind of preview is, Victor looking forward to Nikki's birthday? Does he have a big surprise planned? I mean, Nikki has a birthday every year...🤷🏾‍♀️
  2. What about them? There's nothing else? Shouldn't there be an actual hint about a story here? Or at least a hint of some action being taken that leads to something? Boy, I remember when previews actually hinted of some storyline to come. Now they just blurt out character names. Apropos of nothing.
  3. Aww, now that is a cute juxtaposition. Just please, nobody invite Tony Orlando.🥺
  4. Yes Kristen Clarke!
  5. This has not been getting much attention among Western news outlets, but there may be an emerging constitutional crisis in Samoa, which has been a relatively stable nation politically, albeit one apparently ruled by one party for a couple decades now.
  6. Any way you slice it, that second iteration of Yolanda Hamilton (as some rock and roll roadie/groupie) was just not well-written. At all. It would've been deeply disappointing no matter who they casted in the role. Nevertheless, I hope Telma Hopkins has a good, safe time on set-she wants to work and this is a job. So there's that, I guess.
  7. Although the romantic relationship between Lyla and Cal confounded me, Cal playing Secret Santa to her and Katie was really sweet. I always thought that Carl Gordon as Jessica's father was a terrific casting choice. Many of the episodes uploaded to YouTube that feature the Griffin family seem to be of the actor recast as Mr. Griffin--so much so, that I was beginning to wonder if maybe I had imagined that Gordon was the original Mr. Griffin. Perhaps when he got cast in 'Roc', he was too busy to reprise the role? Tonio and a recasted Sabrina seem so odd together. The Sabrina played by Moore was no glassy-eyed naif, and she certainly wouldn't be taken in by Tonio's overtures. In fact, Moore's Sabrina would likely be pulling the strings or at least the maneuvering would be mutually agreed upon by both parties. Sabrina had been a clear-eyed character, even when clearly in the wrong. On separate note, I was again thinking how good it could be be hear from Jennifer Ashe and someone like Peter Boynton, especially since both are heavily involved in the theater, as of late. I took a look at Ashe's website and saw a photo of her and Meg Ryan in her picture gallery. I don't know what year that photo was taken but they both looked pretty young. I wonder what the story behind that is.
  8. Just saw my foolish error, but glad that you caught my drift, in spite of it all, lol.
  9. To be honest, I don't think I felt anything for the character of Nathan after Nathan Purdee left the role. The Keesha storyline, to me, was more a chance to see Olivia's range of emotions and to see TLW shine more as an actress. It was more about the other characters (Olivia, Dru, Neil) and how they discovered and dealt with the affair and its aftermath, imo.
  10. Good for Coco. Congratulations to her!
  11. Chris Cuomo is in the wrong profession.
  12. Speaking of that hot-button word 'bi-partisanship'- Still waiting for DeJoy to get his walking papers.
  13. For weeks, I have been telling my mother that the next step was likely going to be that vaccines would be available through doctors offices and that she will likely be able to get her booster shot the way she already gets her flu and pneumonia vaccine.
  14. The BBC is such a fail. They barely acknowledge their history of racism and sex predators but they absolutely must investigate this interview from 1995, but not the media's overall history of trying to bully people, or how one of their biggest media bullies became Prime Minister. M'kay.
  15. Now that Hannah-Nikole Jones was turned down for tenure after conservative backlash, can this myth if the highly liberal university system finally be put to bed already? This is no more true than the myth of "liberal Hollywood".
  16. Mr. Mooney was a prolific comedian, so much so, that he had different eras of fans--The Hollywood Shuffle era immediately comes to mind. His humor was the definition of incisive but was blanketed in truth and you couldn't but laugh, even if things got a little uncomfortable. Artist usually do make most people uncomfortable. R.I.P.
  17. This thread provides a decent summary of the case against Trump/Inc.
  18. Yikes at the audio/video syncing issues but it's nice to see an episode where Nella is actually working as a nurse, further proof that she was NOT a candy striper, lol. Too bad there are almost no episodes on YT of Nella in the nursing program with Meg. That scene with the nurse who refuses to care for Hank because he is the partner of an AIDS patient is a reminder of where society was where HIV and AIDS were concerned--the prejudice. There also seems to be a hint of homophobia in the nurse's stance as well. Also a reminder, perhaps that while we judge the characterization of Hank and his relationships from able millennium perspective, the reality of what it took to get this story onto daytime television, on perhaps the most conservative network at the time is a whole other matter.
  19. The SDNY has always been handling the criminal investigation. It was the NY AG that was conducting the civil investigation. They are joining forces. The NY AG always maintained that should there be any evidence of criminal wrongdoing, they would turn it over to the SDNY, where the District attorney was already handling the criminal case. The difference now is that the NY AG now has the authority to 'get in' on the criminal investigation. Again, presidential pardon only has power in federal cases. This is not a federal case, neither the criminal, nor the civil. This is NY jurisdiction. SDNY stands for Southern District of New York, which is essentially New York City. It is not a federal case. Notice that the Justice Department has no active part either investigation because this has to do with activities concerning Trump Inc., not the presidency.
  20. Pardon means nothing for the investigation, as it's not federal.
  21. Just as I'd suspected and hoped, the NY AG's office (i.e. Letitia James) is no longer relegated to investigating civil charges against the Trump organization, now she has joined forces with the SDNY and is investigating criminal charges! Good!!
  22. Shrugs. She and Scott Bryce used to have dinner whenever he went to L.A. for work. They weren't dating. Finn, like LF do portraits of friends and family, perhaps Swan too. Who really knows? It's cryptic. 🤷🏾‍♀️
  23. Happy Birthday to Janet Jackson. Hoping she's indulging in the Pleasure Principle in celebration 🥳.
