Re: the doll--we're lucky Miss Thang didn't come out looking like a Japanimation Hoochie Mama! I had to WORK to find this combination. OHMIGOSH! I finally saw Dillon's Silent Movie. I have to admit--even hamming it up for the camera, JE stlil manages to give a certain degree of pathos and depth to her character. And I DOVE-A-LOVE the flapper costume. For those of you who were actually watching at the time, question--Did Dillon actually *make* this movie, or was it some comatose fever dream he had? Because never, ever, evuh could I imagine the Q's participating in something like that. But boy, was it fun!

Ya'll, I need help. I've tried Hella Good, Never Quiet, and GHVT, and I can't get to anything. I'm trying to download clips of Lulu and Luke for a vid I'm making, and I cna't get anything to work. Actually, it was awesome, amazing, and I desparately want you to continue. I gave you a "real" edit, like you asked for, so there's a lot of stuff on there. They are just too cute, and I'm totally going to be downloading clips of them when I have the time. In one of the many side trips I've taken in the name of fanfic writing, I discovered something wonderful. Did ya'll know there is such a thing as an online automatic French verb conjugator? Dudes, how convenient is that? (And yeah, it's related to the current fanfic.) Missing TQ something fierce. Thank goodness for this place. OH, and MsQ--since I didn't give you the reaction you wanted to the news of the clips from The City..... TQ/JE Site Discussion: I emailed Tracey and basically offered to help in whatever way I could. She is definitely looking for content ideas. A fanart section would be nice--didn't someone paint a really striking picture of young Tracy? It would be a good catch-all for things like banners and icons, too. I would also LOVE to see old magazine interviews, reviews, chat transcripts, etal. Things that let us see JE as much as we see TQ. OT Discussion: Tomorrow and Monday I will be on vacation. Yay. Unfortunately, my dreams of spending all day tomorrow in the computer lab while Fey is in class are dashed--I have to bring my car in for brake work. So I won't be lounging online all day like I planned--I'll save that for Monday. Oooh, and let me guess--she and Lorenzo were using Enduro condoms when they did it on the living room floor!!!!! And this will be Lorenzo's excuse to take over ELQ, ousting TQ as the incompentent clown she is?? *kicks TIIC.* I'm so not going to be happy if they reintroduce the Luke/Skye thing into the mix, on top of Laura coming back. Come the F**K on, guys! Even TG is on record as saying he wants to be paired with a woman his own age--or at least in the same decade. JE is six months older than him, but I'm sure TG can handle an older woman...... I know they need a storyline for RC, and I'm okay with that. But does it have to be JE's storyline? Have they no imagination? Have they no creativity? I know the stories need to be basic--love, money, family, betrayal, etc. But why revisit the same tired plots over and over and over and over....? Jax made a move to keep his baby-- Dillon makes a move to keep his baby-- Nikolas makes a move to keep his baby-- Ooh, and guess what? Old flames are involved in each scenario. Tired. Lame. Old. I'm sick of baby storylines, although I know they're a soap staple. I just wish they'd do something creative. Like give one of the babies a disability--like Down's syndrome, blindness, or deafness. Show the struggles of raising an exceptional child, how much pressure it puts on the family, oh, and MAYBE show the child growing up as a recurring character on the show. Now that's real life, that's something a lot of their viewers understand and identify with, a chance for real, honest drama, instead of this trumped-up, lame, Who My Daddy sh*t they keep throwing at us. *kicks TIIC again for being lame and cowardly with their storylines*

As much as I'd love to do a JE/TQ site, honesty forces me to admit I don't have the time or resources to do it right now. I would be THRILLED to help Tracey in any way she needed with a site--including any and all of my TQ fanfic, if she wants it. (I also have a Change of Habit fic I'm working on, but it's slow in developing.) To be honest, I wanted to do the JE site for two reasons--one, there wasn't one already out there and there needs to be one. Two, well, when I did my fansite for Broadway diva Dana Ivey, I wound up getting to correspond with her online (she responded to one of my emails today). I can't say that a part of me didn't hope the same thing would happen if I built a JE site. Still, my pipe dreams of celebrity encounters aside, the most important thing is that JE gets a site that is worthy of her, and I can't do that right now. So put me on the Tracey bandwagon--I'm ready. willing, and able to help in anyway possible. *waves to Regency* So, at least our girl got a mention today. That article was such a hoot to read--I don't know why, but the late 70s, early 80s pop culture references just had me chuckling--as did the feathered hair. She's still Jane, but with much more lip gloss! Thanks for posting it, ILTQ. ETA: She has such amazing teeth......great hair, great eyes, great features--but wow...her teeth are so...straight and shiny... SPOILER TALK Well, now I feel good. Thanks. You know, when I first started watching this show, I had only heard of three families--the Spencers, the Cassadines, and the Quartermaines. I was totally misguided at first, because I thought the Quartermaines were like, you know, important or something. Now I realize that my information was horribly outdated. The Quartermaines are nothing more than GuzCo's whipping boys, to be ignored or humiliated, whichever suits their nefarious purposes. I think the reason Tracy fares so well (relatively) is that JE has been playing the "Evil !@#$%^&*]" so long she knows how to inject humanity even in the most ridiculously horrible scenarios the writers can throw at her. And face it, she's handy--whenever they want someone to express an unpopular opinion, or say something that makes the Qmaines look callous or shallow, trot out Tracy. She'll say it. Edward fares well, also, because well--he's the Pinnacle of All Evil. (Now that Mikos Cassadine is dead, that is.) You know why we don't see Alan and Monica anymore? Because they're nice. They are decent people who try to do the right thing. That's why they no longer fit into the scheme of things. Nice, decent Qmaines fly contrary to the GuzCo MindSet. But Tracy and Edward? They get some air time. They get to be Wicked. They get to be Horrible. And JE, because she's sneaky, gets to inject humanity in every lame storyline they stick her into. BECAUSE JE RULEZ!!!!!! Ya, Babeeee..... Okay, now I'm being silly.

First, I apologize for any headaches my last fanfic caused. I blame the fact that I've read Journey of Souls and Destiny of Souls at least two times each for the "outer-spacy" quality of it. Actually, I just wanted to stick it to Edward in the worst way possible. I can't wait to read the fic--I promised Keith I would beta his chapter first, then it's off read Regency's. SPOILER - GOOD FOR TQ FANS (FUNNY FOR NLG FANS) --From sagesplace.com What's going on in Port Charles?? Luke returns on Wednesday, September 6th. Although rumors swirled that he would bring Holly Sutton back with him, the show says there are no plans for the return of Emma Samms at this time. Head Writer, Bob Guza, says that Luke and Laura's continued love affair (Laura returns in October) is going to ripple through every couple on the canvas. He does not, mind you, say they are going to be together and from what I hear, Tracy and Luke's marriage is not necessarily in jeopardy because of her return. ... Threats ensue on the GH set when Nancy Lee Grahn fusses about how a script is written. The powers that be say, "Stage four!" (As in stage four cancer, Alexis being written off dead) and she gets the message. She says, "They keep upping the stage of her illness every time I get objectionable." Yeah, cuz GAWD forbid an actress has a brain and an opinion....

Hey, gang. I've been spending my Sunday very industriously working on my latest fanfic. It's mainly Edward, but it's all about the TQ, ya know. I know I swore off long fics for 100 Situations, but this one just needed to be written. And once I started, it just kept growing and growing.... It's at 22 pages now, and should be done in about five more pages (I hope). Hopefully, it'll be funny and very satisfying for TQ fans. ETA: New Fic is available. Prompt #27 Reverse. In Which Frank Capra Rolls Over in His Grave. Edward dies, and has to go back to Earth and fix the mess he left behind. Thanks to Fey for the idea and the better ending than I originally intended to write. I love making Edward grovel....

I'm totally in agreement with ILTQ, MsQ. Luke has to say it first. Not only would it be easier for him to say--let's face it, those are not words TQ mutters often--but it carries less risk for him. (Yeah, yeah, yeah, poor Luke with his "angel" becoming a rutabaga.... Live through Mitch Williams and Paul Hornsby and then come back and talk to us about your poor abused heart, Luke...) I really liked the last three chapters, btw. Sorry the feedback was so sparse--I was being rushed out of the house on errands (as usual, against my will). But I really loved it. Oh, and I thought about something Edward said to Dillon on Friday that had my blood running a little cold--he said, "Don't worry. We'll find somebody at ELQ to take the fall for the whole condom debacle..." or something like that, and Dillon just happily went along with his life. DILLON! You stupid, worthless, Q-ified moron being written into the ground by TIIC!!!!!! Don't you KNOW how that "someone" is going to be????? Man, that excess product is so going to Dillon's head. Sweetie, I'm so sorry about your day--I think a few of us had crappy days yesterday--Mercury's probably in retrograde. Or in hiding....cuz communication was for crap yesterday. (Oh, I got slammed by a supervisor type person for suggesting she call my rep before CANCELLING FIVE OF MY HOSPITAL'S ORDERS without talking to us. Yeah, great day. Thank god for the long weekend....) ILTQ, you are so right on all counts. I wish they would have given us more reaction shots of TQ, although they made up for it later with that shot of her draped against the door frame staring out into the garden. Nice continuity from Lulu staring out into the garden earlier--both lost in thought, both feeling emotions they would rather not feel. As for the subtlety, I think most of that is from JE's interpretation. The list of people who care could have been a throw-away line, but I don't know--I think JE played it so that it mattered. Course, she plays everything so that it matters. I hope against hope that she's on today's show. That would be amazing and wonderful. But my lunch break is over now, so I shall big ya'll adieu.

Okay, we have got to schedule a party in the breakroom. That was so much fun last night with so many people there--we should do it more often. I think Regency and LaineyBev714 are actually the same person-- At least, they are kindred spirits. LOL--olives and femslash, the food of the gods! So I suppose hoping TQ will be on today is just some sort of exhaustion-induced pipedream, huh? Yeah, probably. Dudes, another thing that caught me about yesterday--"I knocked on your door this morning...." Why does that strike me as so....sweet? I mean, I'm loving this Tracy. She wants what she wants, but she never, EVUH makes it look like she doesn't care about Lulu. Unlike Edward, she's not reducing the girl to a living incubator for a Quartermaine heir. Unlike Dillon, she's not just focusing on MEMEMEEEE! She's tough, she's frank, but she still checks on the girl in her bedroom first thing in the morning. She still worries about Lulu's health, her eating habits, her emotional stability. She doesn't want a grandchild. That little spiel about "Granny" was perfect--just perfect. Tracy is not about little children (except maybe her own), this baby would just push her further down the food chain, and it would make her son's life much harder. And she's STILL taking care of the surly daughter of a man who cheats on her and leaves her to deal with all this crap and will probably come back and blame her for the whole thing.
