  1. Don't forget poor Mr. Lee, adored by the Lotus Point staff, even though we only saw him for one or two episodes.
  2. What exactly is the story in bringing Jeremy back after almost 20 years (with his father still rarely appearing, and presumably not interacting with him at all in this stint) just for angst for cipher Stephanie and her piece of [!@#$%^&*] boyfriend? If he turns out to be abusive or unstable, how many viewers are going to care? How many viewers beyond diehards even know or remember him? Even many of them may not. Maybe they have more interesting plans for him. I don't know.
  3. I'd happily wave goodbye to Peter Bergman, but I do think there will be a loss with MTS and Eric (even if Victor has never been a favorite character of mine). The biggest problem is that so many of the people who should be taking over for them just can't fill that role - Case, Stafford, Morrow, etc.
  4. I always loved Susan but it really makes no sense for her to just pop in to be a psychic friend. I was never even sure how genuine her psychic abilities were meant to be. Stacy Haiduk also isn't quite forceful enough to play Susan, although she's not bad. It's been a while since we had a soap moment where a child is run down after furiously running away from their parents. Are the new headwriters fans of late '70s OLTL?
  5. I also get the complaints but after seeing your post I went and watched and I thought it was very sweet. And it didn't really last that long either. And neither will be around much longer so it doesn't have the same elephant stomping vibe as, say, Linda Dano and Kale Browne when they did this on OLTL. I really loved the Viki/Joey relationship under Chris so I'm partial to this anyway. Chris tweeted an outtake.
  6. Krystle was such a shell by the end of the show, Sable did add more interesting sides to Alexis (and even to Blake). That and Fallon finally getting a personality again helped.
  7. Thanks. I figured they had talks and I just forgot about them. I totally get you with Megan. I think what helped me was I first saw her in the curated Megan's death episodes A Daytime to Remember ran in 1997, rather than watching the episodes in full.
  8. Thanks again @Maxim for the very wise description of Jason, and the writeup and video for Viki. I appreciate the moment with Tina and Viki, Tina fully supportive and understanding in a way she often isn't capable of being. The conversation with Kevin and Viki is just as good as you can feel the mix of love and disappointment Kevin has toward his mother. I like the choice of having him put his head on Viki's shoulder. One positive I'll say about the Death scenes is I adore Mary Kay Adams. Someday you may be able to see her strong work on GL or ATWT. I'm sure it's been mentioned elsewhere in the story but I would think Megan's death also affected Viki. Were there any scenes with Viki and Sloan about losing their children and how they have coped? I remember watching clips from Megan's ghost episode. I was just happy to see Megan again and I didn't mind the concept, although I've never been entirely sure on the ending for Jake.
  9. Looks like the doll is going to bite Robert's finger.
  10. With booktok, there's been a certain pop culture revival for books, although I know that isn't the show's version. It might be interesting to see Julie get a following on tiktok, then have to address some of her old scandals being raked up by the drama channels and social justice channels.
  11. Jason knocking Drew's cane from under him was so petty - I don't mean that as a bad thing, but I was reminded of back when Tony held Robin hostage and Jason smashed his hand as payback. That was Jason as the noble, dangerous warrior. This was a cheap shot. You could say it shows the decline of the writing, but I can't say I was very sorry. I mostly got a good laugh along with Tracy at Jason letting his inner Quartermaine out.
  12. I've always wanted to see that early Norris family material as on paper it all sounds a little dull to me and I wonder how it played out onscreen. I think Kathryn Hays was also briefly playing Leslie in that period.
  13. Thanks @DeeVee . I always thought Holly just got her money from a rich ex. (I'm surprised they never brought her ex on the show in those 89-95 years where she had frequent story)
  14. Thanks! I was kind of hoping they'd give him plastic surgery again just for the absurdity...
  15. Are they going to say that Matt got plastic surgery...again...or will they not address that? If he has gotten plastic surgery is he the first soap character to get face-altering plastic surgery twice? No wonder JER just loved to use masks.
  16. @BoldRestless When I read that it is just a heartbreaker. And this man is paid through the nose for material right through his ass.
  17. Wasn't Bruce Willis going to be leaving soon anyway? Dynasty by all rights probably should have ended around 1987 - I'm glad they at least got to go out on a decent final year. I watched both, and enjoyed both, but what I appreciated in the early seasons of Roseanne was that even when the kids were brats, you could believe Dan and Roseanne loved them. I rarely felt like Cliff and Claire weren't just vaguely irritated with their children.
  18. It's disgusting to even read about. And anyone at that network or show who claims this is about awareness can kiss my behind. I would guess he survives and this is used to blackmail April.
  19. It will finish off the genre, just a very slow-motion death. Y&R has been terrible on this subject for a long time and just benefited from the work past writers and producers did to get them where they are.
  20. Yes. And he still seems to be doing OK. (he was more interesting in that web soap than he ever was on Y&R)
  21. Yes. IIRC, Matt pulled out his own tube or whatever (as he was dying anyway) to try to frame Nick. This choice seems incredibly desperate. Who was asking for a Matt Clark return? It's like they went through a Rolodex of rapists as Howarth was on call.
  22. Granville was on Y&R and PC.
  23. Thanks again @Maxim Both wonderful scenes. The layers are what make you feel involved. The dilemma is all too real. You aren't just seeing cutouts being thrown through plot points. A real contrast to a year and a half earlier when Viki was helping Renee with the DuAnn hysteria. And that moment with Viki and Jessica is genuinely very effective, seeing her tell Jessica she is entitled to the worry and anger she is feeling. I hadn't seen Viki's outfit before - all those big buttons.
  24. Thanks @Maxim that was very early in the Doctors repeats as James Noble is still there. I think I remember that. She has a good presence. Smart writing to cover for her loss of voice.
  25. Thanks for that rundown @Paul Raven You or @dc11786 may know more than I do about whether these episodes are already available, but a slew of Backstage Wife episodes have been put on Archive. Ron Bowser-John Dunning Project - Mary Noble, Backstage Wife : Ron Bowser-John Dunning Project : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive
