  1. Thanks @Paul Raven A very snooty article all around. At least Anne did pop up in soaps for many years. I wonder if Love That Jill was any good compared to those "pseudo-realistic" shows...
  2. Thanks @Paul Raven I enjoy hearing the stories about RH. I wonder if she was in Lisanti's book (she has a Facebook profile which stops around 2021). The story about how she met her husband is very sweet.
  3. Thanks as always for finding and sharing these articles @Paul Raven (the one in the OLTL thread too) The main EON channel has uploaded some fragmented versions of the conclusion of the Clown Puppet Murder saga. They are asking for better copies if anyone has them. There are about four videos. This is the first.

  5. That would be good too. More interesting than anything onscreen here.
  6. At least that would be dramatic. And he's hotter than her other boyfriends. If this was JFP/Guza they'd probably have sex on the floor, and then Joss would get shot in the head by Carly (accidentally...maybe).
  7. And trying to figure out some way to keep Carly integral to the canvas. I feel sorry for Anna fans seeing her get dumped. I just hope Finola is doing OK.
  8. That's a shame. I've really been enjoying your writeups, even as I kept meaning to reply to the last commentary. I wish Celia had had a more memorable exit. At least she wasn't killed off, I guess.
  9. Great spots @SoapDope78 @vetsoapfan You might enjoy the Trish Stewart ad.
  10. Thanks as always @slick jones I don't know how you do it. I can't believe that axe throwing place is still on GH.
  11. I'd love to see Kim on a soap. She was so underrated on St. Elsewhere. Her exit was the most harrowing the show got.
  12. Ugh that story still horrifies me. I can't remember if Frank has ever had Saundra Santiago on GH.
  13. It's very frustrating as some fans offer constructive criticism and others are much louder because they are upset over Ben or they want social media engagement. I just hope those who offer constructive criticism are the ones who are heard.
  14. A gorgeous episode today, heartbreaking, and most importantly, very true to EE's spirit. One of the best episodes of recent years. I don't think the show is as bad as some claim, but I can't claim it's good either. Most of Nigel's story, however, has been excellent.
  15. Whenever I see the name I think of Rachel's evil Swedish (?) doppelganger on AW. If only Victoria Wyndham was able to appear and terrify some performances out of Maurice. As for Florencia, I did not care for Tea (although she grew on me toward the end), but Florencia was certainly a very dynamic actress. GH has many women in that age range who are dynamic and not properly used, but I'd be fine with seeing her get a good part on the show - I'd have her arrive as the one who ends up taking down Sidwell and his organization. Maybe we can learn that she is Marco's biological mother and that the reason Eva LaRue was a pill-popping homophobe is because she had to raise kids who weren't hers and were instead the product of Sidwell whoring around the globe.
  16. This character irrationally annoyed the hell out of me, and the griminess was a big reason why. I guess more international capers on a budget. I wonder if he may also be there to help Holly say goodbye to Robert and then she leaves with him. This would be a good way to write her out. There would be some very bittersweet feelings for the fans who most wanted this as they aren't going to care with Lexi not in the part.
  17. That would have been a great idea (and Erica could have conquered another Martin).
  18. They barely did anything with Lexie for years before she died. The character had much more potential than most of the regimes who used her ever knew (aside from a few years in the late '90s and early '00s). If you're going to bring her back it needs to be for a permanent and strong storyline. I genuinely think someone is just trying to resurrect every Dimera they can before the show ends. What about Benjy? At least that would give Patch and Kayla some story. That was also a pointless and horrible death I'd like to see undone.
  19. Yes. Jim de Paiva. Philip was a strange choice for that part anyway. I know he played wicked on Knots but that was shorter, and an awful story.
  20. Sad to hear this. The first few years of the show could feel heavy, but Frank and Janie often had more of a fire to them and felt very believable as a couple. I was sorry when they were written out (and when they randomly broke them up offcamera a decade later).

  22. Anything tied to Alex will be a failure.
  23. One could say an insane and all-powerful person doing destructive things just because he can is very current.
  24. Jo and Martin visit the burnt down Inn | Mary Stuart Search for Tomorrow I'd never watched this scene but it's such a clear meta statement of CBS canceling the show and NBC picking it up. That also helps explain why Mary Stuart is so emotional here compared to how stoic her Jo often is. I guess I get the idea, but I still don't think they should have gotten rid of the place just for that reason. (maybe with a smaller NBC budget or studio space, if it was smaller, they had to let this set go) Surprising that they don't try to go golly gosh and instead admit that nothing will ever be as good or the same, but they just have to move on. And that is probably how many fans felt about the move, even if those last 5 years had some strong moments. That makes me curious - would you rather the show have ended in early 1982 or are you glad they had those extra years?
