  1. Thanks. Brooke Adams would have been great. A shame that Actman retired just a few years after losing the role.
  2. I was finally able to log in with Chrome, but I am unable to log in through Edge.
  3. The only way I could see Josh protesting would be to upset HB or because he wanted to pick up chicks.
  4. She's in some of these blocs from summer 1966. The first is at around 20 minutes. The Guiding Light - June 1966 (Vol. 1)
  5. It speaks of Agnes' character that she never gave her daughter Brenda a job.
  6. I do wonder if she could have played up all the angst. I liked what I saw of the first Nancy.
  7. Long was the one who had Krista as a psycho. I'm not sure who was writing when Robert was there (he was taking over for Joseph Bottoms). Maybe the Dobsons. He returned to GL not long after.
  8. Cheryl Ladd said she was nearly cast as Nancy when they recast the part. I wonder how she would have been.
  9. I can see why Marland felt that way as there was always a coldness in Josh, but I agree Newman could do more. Even before Long arrived, the show seemed to take him out of boo hiss mode - he's not written that way in the available early 1983 episodes. I know Newman also played a psycho on Santa Barbara - no idea how he was on that show - but similar to Andy Norris, there wasn't anything engrossing about this nastiness. This wasn't a Roger Thorpe situation. It didn't help that Morgan and Lesley Ann were so dreary, and Floyd and Kelly weren't that thrilling either. The stakes felt low and gross at the same time. I'm not sure how many times Marland managed to write scheming or slimy male characters who were compelling. I think the crux of the character revolved around Reva, but he had some other moments - his pairing with Olivia, which was surprisingly nuanced at times. And later on when he became a minister.
  10. PaleyFest LA 2026: Charlie’s Angels 50th Anniversary Celebration
  11. Another new (to me anyway) Loving promo. I have a tough time believing Stacey ever actually loved Tony. 1984 ABC promo Loving
  12. There are a lot of actors who are fine with darker material but not sexual material so I could see her playing it if the story is there. I agree that Frank probably won't do it.
  13. It's tough to imagine Nia Long playing out the catfight scene. Admittedly that may be from my knowing her best as Kat.
  14. That was lovely. A classic song too. A few new '78/'79 episodes with Tracy have popped up in the last few years but I wish there were more.
  15. I wouldn't be surprised if the material we saw with Kelly lashing out at Morgan and Josh on the island and leaving them there would have originally been their end and he would have gravitated toward Nola.
  16. Robin was an extremely broken woman. A decade before she died, she was standing out in the rain to get pneumonia because she was upset over who her widowed stepfather was going to marry. (she also went on to marry the man she had major daddy issues with - so I guess toxic father issues are one similarity) I can see why Agnes Nixon wanted her to play Viki, but Viki was given the possibility of a happy ending - there was never going to be a happy ending for Robin. I do wonder if Spencer ever wished she'd stayed longer at GL, but probably not. She never had an unpopular role on any soap and never played a character the same way.
  17. The way things worked out that probably would have been for the best. The show dismantled their whole little group, which was one of the best things about the relationship, but kept them. I guess they didn't want the backlash of firing them immediately so just waited for Michael and Lisa to want to leave due to poor use. You're right that many did hang on, which is part of the peril of an hour long soap. With a few exceptions, like Lillian, you just see the character slowly die.
  18. Me too. She certainly deserves one. Hopefully they'll get in touch.
  19. Anna really does look like Emma. The scene with Felicia and Mariah is sweet too. And all the spy intrigue with Sean, Robert and Holly. The only drag was the stuff with Jimmy Lee and Celia as he doesn't do much for me as a character. Celia has a unique presence - I liked her cool reaction to Lorena when Lorena walked out.
  20. I know the Quola fans seemed to consider the stories with the kid their worst, which I can't argue with based on the clips. They should have had him in the whole cottage story - maybe had Susan Piper as some roguish woman from his past and she threatens him and his family if he reveals their secrets. They could have had him injured in the same explosion that killed Hillary.
  21. A few other pilots. This is some prison guard sleazy comedy with Scott Evans (I wonder if he filmed this after he was fired from OLTL), among others. There is no nudity but there's enough sexual content early on (with Evans) for me to say it's NSFW. Inside Out - Unaired 2010 Cable Pilot An interesting pilot showing various international journalists and their thoughts on America. I am not sure who thought this would be picked up, but it's worth a watch. Overseas Opinions (1967) Unsold Pilot starring Gene Rayburn - YouTube
  22. They made him a professor, and he was also a scientist for a while, I think. Given that they were still doing adventure stories on GL during his run they should have just had him in those.
  23. I've always thought fan videos are one of the most underrated parts of supporting a character or relationship, especially before they became so heavily used in a tiktok era. That period with Monica's funeral was great for Tracy. The material earlier in the same year where Tracy learned Gio was her great-grandson was another favorite of mine. Jane can play anything and I'm glad they have finally been letting her.
