  1. This is probably the closest we'll get:
  2. That makes sense. Maybe he could have been in the home with Bess Lowell. I think Roger was Adam's only child but I am not sure. I think the Soderbergs created Roger. One of many reasons I wish some of that period was around is because it seemed he didn't really do a lot in his early days beyond singing at the restaurant. Irna would have had a field day with Roger.
  3. I could also see this story with Roger and Adam, when Adam returned in the '90s, especially if Roger had lost everyone else and resented Adam for still rejecting him.
  4. I don't think he cares much about Gio and Emma either. The pairings he wanted were likely with Joss.
  5. PBS of all people writing that is unforgivable. I'm glad I didn't give any money.
  6. I'll be surprised if they are both on the show within a year or two just because they will want to strike while the iron is hot.
  7. I think it's about distracting, numbing, dividing. A black man being arrested will also tap into the bigotry that helps Republicans at every turn. It may not move the numbers his way in a massive manner but every little bit helps, especially with pushing through all of his crackdowns against voting and protesting.
  8. And it's already working. I saw a clip of Dana Bash, who somehow seems even more brain dead than the last time I saw her, slowly stammering out questions to Jamie Raskin about the "responsibility" he has about his "heated rhetoric" like saying he's "terrible for this country." They allow any Republican to go on their shows and say the most obscene things and it doesn't matter. Meanwhile, the media, and that piece of [!@#$%^&*] John Fetterman (who was pushed on the public by leftists, much as they pretend otherwise), already have all the narratives out suffocating us on how we must all love Trump, build his ballroom, on and on. The Republicans have no shame and they are always rewarded for it.
  9. At least at the time people were honest about why they enjoyed Home Improvement (for Al or Wilson, the banter with Tim and Patricia Richardson, or JTT for the younger female audience). Everybody Loves Raymond got hype from some places like the NYT as one of the best sitcoms of all time. I never hear anyone claim that these days.
  10. I can believe him as Buzz by that stage in his career. He'd aged noticeably and lost a lot of his vulnerability. I could see him embracing the snappier con artist persona Buzz had early on. I don't think they could have remade him into a mainstay the way they did with Justin as he wouldn't have stayed long. It would have been a bit strange seeing him as a father to Frank and Harley though.
  11. This is just what was needed to try to change the narrative. Very convenient. And the public is stupid and bigoted enough to where I am not going to even claim it won't work.
  12. I think Judi was making a movie and Lisa was on for a few weeks or a month.
  13. If this was a truly dangerous incident wouldn't they have to be shut down? How serious is it meant to be if they can all still sit around talking about how they're so back and how much they adore their cool friend Trump who calls them up all the time?
  14. I think that scene may be in the summer 1966 episodes which are on Youtube.
  15. As Ellen Dolan or Scott Holmes once complained about (as it began to confuse them), in the early '90s ATWT had supporting characters with variations of Bill and Billy.
  16. Thanks @Jdee43 great find
  17. Here is currently the only available 1961 episode. The Guiding Light - January 3, 1961
  18. @alwaysAMC Thanks for your latest recap. I think the Santoses were responsible for Charles' heart attack, although I can't remember if it was said at the time. Glad they finally remembered the Selena and Abby connection. I also like seeing Abby have her own voice again, which will continue. I will say Danny was very dumb for taking Michelle back to the home of a woman who had repeatedly tried to kill her. Is Beth Ehlers back as Harley yet? Those gender reveal scenes with Philip would have been fun in her hands, once upon a time.
  19. I remember Charmaine more but Gina was interesting, looking at her bio. I notice they don't have any of the guys who were introduced the last few seasons coming back, although that's not a huge loss.
  20. I still can't log in at all on Edge and on Chrome I have to keep clearing my cache and then if I'm lucky I can stay on after about 4-5-6 tries.
  21. I wouldn't say just her, so that's why I said help. There were some departures in 1993 which also likely helped with money, like Beth Ehlers and Mark Derwin. Beverlee McKinsey, who'd left the year before, likely had a very high salary compared to much of the cast.
  22. Thanks. I didn't know the extra details. Hiding in the bathroom like Dabney Coleman in 9 to 5... The whole thing is another reminder of how arrogant some criminals can be.
  23. Thanks. That makes sense. I meant difficult in seeing him controlling and abusing her, and Robin's self-loathing/self-destruction.
  24. Thanks so much @Reverend Ruthledge I was very engrossed while reading this. You can feel Agnes Nixon pulling all the strands together. Due to the arrival of Alex and Doris and the waves they make across the canvas, Dick/Marie and Paul/Anne also feel tied to the core even if they wouldn't otherwise (I'm surprised at the lack of Paul and Robin interaction). The Alex/Robin story must have been very difficult to sit through. You can definitely feel where Bert is turning a corner when they even have Papa standing up to her. I would love to see Doris. Surprised at the use of "bitch" in 1961 soaps.
  25. Thanks for watching. I hope more is out there.
