  1. Eww, I hope not. I'm a month behind and I just watched the episode where Patrick called her his "favorite girl," and I kind of smiled inside at their sort of father/daughter relationship. The show needs to not go there.
  2. Sons and Daughters has tons of episodes on YouTube. I've watched the first couple of episodes and it's very interesting, but it's definitely like the other glamor sof the era in that the beginning is quite humdrum.
  3. "The Hamptons" seems all but forgotten...I'd love to see some clips. Here is some very random news: http://tvshowsondvd.com/news/Yellow-Rose-The-Complete-Series/15136
  4. Selfish is pretty awesome.
  5. Chris Fountain was so, so pretty on Hollyoaks circa 2006-2007. Now he just looks tired and sad.
  6. I'm gonna need "Seal It with a Kiss" to be the next single. Like...right now.

  8. TTWE debuts at #20
  9. I love me some Adele. I don't know if I could listen to her voice over and over and over again an on album, though, which sounds horrible, I know, but it is what it is. I love her voice, but it's hard to explain. "Rolling in the Deep" is my sh!t, though. I love the 60s-style background singers "Yuh gunna wish yew! Nevuh evuh met me!"
  10. Britney would have killed S&M, but I'm glad Rihanna got it. I've thoroughly enjoyed her transformation from Unfaithful-type songs to harder stuff like Rockstar 101 and S&M. I'm waiting for her to pull out a chainsaw at any minute.
  11. I think the main reason why they never had her go after Elmo (besides time constraints - given a few more seasons, she might have gone there) was because of the Eudora/Elmo connection, and the ambiguity of whether or not Elmo was Skipper's father. That might have been just too much. Come to think of it, almost everybody's parentage on the show was quite ambiguous. We know Constance was Claude and Lute-Mae's, but then there's the Skipper/Elmo thing and they also implied that Titus was Annabelle's father when her mother came to town to learn more about the mill fire. I loved the first season more than the second (but it's been seven years since I've seen most of the show, so take it with a grain), just the combination of Field's election drama and the triangle. I wish they'd kept Christie and Alice around instead of tying Skipper to boring Alicia. Julio was cool, and I always figured that they would have had him clean up and team with Sam to serve as the town's force of good against shadier guys like Michael, Titus, and Field. So many things could have happened with FR had it been given a decent chance. I wish it had been developed for ABC and paired with Dynasty on the schedule, kinda like how Dallas carried FC through the 80s.
  12. I love Angela's relationship with Douglas and the whole idea of Angela "begrudgingly" spending weekends with him San Francisco. That's a great depiction of a couple who were better divorced than married. How long did he stick around? I watched the miscarriage episode ("Victims") a few days ago, and yes indeed Margaret Ladd was on a roll the whole hour. She had me roped in with "How's tricks?" and I was hers for the episode. I can't believe they didn't have her credited up at the front of the show like everyone else when she was expected to carry so much of the central storyline in the first season. To me, it seems like they didn't know how bad they wanted Angela to be in the beginning. Of course they wanted a JR figure, but maybe they were reluctant about making that figure a woman. Sometimes they portray her as "rich old Aunt Angie," but then they have her coming off shadily. They set her up to be a little on the shady side in the very first episode with the whole "The responsibility of turning those dreams into reality...belongs to me" thing at the funeral (which was awesome, you just KNEW Angela was gonna be a sh!t-starter). I do like the dynamics of the Gioberti family in their house, the whole "fish out of water" thing is really developing well and naturally. I don't really mind Vicky in that context. I'm eager for season two, though, if only for Ana Alicia.
  13. I think that's just a piece of titillating exaggeration (I've read it in various places). Mainly, she was married to Field for most of the show's run, then she had an affair with Julio throughout most of the second season. She slept with Sam and Michael, but those were only schemes to try to make Field jealous and want her back (didn't happen). No matter what, during the whole show, her eye was on Field and trying to get him back.
  14. It's already bought lol
  15. "See the sunlight, we ain’t stopping Keep on dancing til the world ends If you feel it, let it happen Keep on dancing till the world ends" *cums*
  16. Ma Perkins and The Romance of Helen Trent ended in 1960, and I think they might have been the longest-running of the radio soaps (in the US, at least).
  17. I'm gonna miss Glenda. She definitely added a bit of class to the show, and I was hoping her friendship with Carol would be strengthened. In regards to Neil...is it wrong that I laugh? I wonder what the poor girl looks like.
  18. He's always been quite good to you!? Is there something you're not telling us!? But yeah, the Zane actor's been pretty much on on-point since his first episode. I'm not that big on Zane the character, though. Of course, that's not really fair for me to say because it's been a while since I've watched, but he's always had this air of superiority. Almost to the point of being insensitive to the fact that Riley was still in the closet. Speaking of which, did the show ever decide if Riley is or isn't out of the closet at school? The last episode I watched, he was supposedly still closeted, but then he's having these intimate, heartfelt conversations in the middle of the hallway, and then he goes to the LGBT club meeting.
  19. I saw a clip of Anya giving Riley his makeover...that hair looked down-right HEINOUS right before they cut it off. Just...ugh. Gross. But now he's cute again. Has his acting gotten any better?
  20. Totally agree. Four lovely voices.
  21. Yes, the Knots early stories are much better than the DALLAS ones. I still can't get over how so many of the early DALLAS episodes reached climax within the last five minutes and left absolutely no room for fall out...just a quick scene of the family sitting around at home having a laugh. Almost like a sitcom. I wonder if the show would have lasted (probably not) if it had stuck to its original premise. I love 70s family drama (Family and Eight is Enough need to be on TV somewhere right now!), but I really think KL had no choice but to glam up and get soapy.
  22. Getting to the end of season one... I'm liking this season better than the stuff I watched of season two, definitely. Everything's stuffed into each episode, but I like the plot lines better. It would have been cool to see some stuff like Laura's rape, Sid's first wife returning, Lucy's visit, etc, stretched out over two or three episodes instead of just being self-contained. But still, good stuff. I didn't like how predictable the story with Sid's first wife was, though. It would have been more interesting if she wasn't trying to get Sid back, especially considering it'd been decades since they saw each other. It made her look kind of sad to still be pining away after him. Yet Karen's eagerness to get to know her kinda rang false for me. Ginger's stalker(!!!) story was kinda weird. The Wally Cox-ish guy at the school was just...weird, and I guess he was supposed to be there as a red herring, but he was such a poor little fool, it was obvious he wasn't the one. I loved the back story with Priscilla Pointer, though, that was great. It was an interesting topic to touch on, and combining empty nest syndrome with abortion was pretty good. As far as the characters, maybe I was a bit too hard on Ginger on Carl's status update. I like her and Kenny, basically, and I like the idea of them, the role they're supposed to be play, but Ginger's such a Mary Sue!! I remember some later (season 4-ish) episodes with her bitching out Ciji, so I hope that Ginger pops up more soon. And then I know she gets better in season two as well. Kenny, on the other hand, is just pure cheese.
