I liked CNN when Ted Turner first owned/founded it. It had integrity and reported truth. The greatest regret of Ted Turner's life was when he sold CNN and his other Turner Broadcasting companies to Time-Warner, thinking the new owner would treat it well -- but then AOL acquired that company to form "AOL/Time/Warner". After that acquisition/merger mess, CNN became a shadow of its original self.
R.I.P. Ted Turner who died a few months ago. I thank you for the short burst of integrity that was the original CNN.
Jane Fonda was married to Ted Turner for 10 years. They divorced long ago, but she wrote a lovely tribute to him and his children after he died.

Henry Fonda was on the original committee;
his daughter Jane Fonda worked with others to revive it for the current era.
