Woo-hoo! Time for the opening of the Shadow Room! That is so exciting. Cannot wait for this set to be populated with those in Genoa City. Hopefully, the Jazz Lounge and/or Society becomes obsolete. And then we get a mention of Gina's. Wish we could get that set back. That was a wonderful set. And an Underground mention? A short-term set that was a better idea on paper versus its execution. Noah and Sienna do make sense to me, and I do love the connection they do have together. Lucas Adams and Tamara Braun have that chemistry with each other.
Good to see and hear the fundraiser in Fairmont Crest is acknowledged. I had some concerns we would not get there. And might we [finally] be getting to a point where Adam and Billy move on from their feud? That would be an improvement. An overdue one. Well, I guess it's not happening... whew. If anything, it just reignited Billy's disdain and utter disgust for Adam.
Joshua Morrow and Sharon Case still have chemistry; however, Case's lack of acting as of late is extremely off-putting, and her wide-eyed looks are definitely putting a sour taste in my mouth at any idea of reuniting Nicholas and Sharon. But I do appreciate Nicholas' honesty about still craving the fentanyl while receiving methadone, and it shows that recovery is not a snap-and-done thing.
I like the developing friendship between Audra and Sally. There are genuine legs there for their friendship/partnership to be something worthwhile and long-term. Plus, the history the original Shadow Room has for a lot of people is palpable, and that could be an open fort driving stories in different directions. Clearly, the trauma of the events concerning Audra and Holden still haunt them in different ways, so I am hoping that gets explored.
Today's episode was solid and it proved to me what the ultimate issue with Josh Griffith's weakness in writing is ⏤ business. He cannot write a business storyline to save his life. His strength is in character dialogue, and it shows in episodes where that is more the focus. He does know character to a point.
