June 27, 200619 yr Member Since all the cool kids are doing it, I decided to jump in with a music video of my own. I was humming "Unchained Melody" earlier today when it struck me how appropriate the lyrics are for Steve and Kayla right now: Oh, my love, my darling I've hungered for your touch A long, lonely time And time goes by so slowly And time can do so much Are you still mine? I need your love, I oh I need your love God speed your love to me Lonely rivers flow to the sea, to the sea To the open arms of the sea Lonely rivers sigh, wait for me, wait for me I'll be coming home, wait for me I hope you like the end result. I think it will be a nice trip down memory lane for S&K fans and it might help some new to S&K see what's so special about them. You can watch it on Youtube here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6Jm2XV0Zuw If anyone wants the actual wmv file, I have that too.
June 27, 200619 yr Member Love it!! Do you or does anyone know where I can see Steve's death scene in its entirety? I swear it really hits me emotionally every time I see it, but I've never seen it except for in montages when the dialogue is cut out.
June 27, 200619 yr Administrator Isn't Unchained Melody one of John/Marlena's or Roman/Marlena's songs?

I rewatched it the other day and sobbed like a baby. Would you rather have it on youtube or a regular wmv file you can download?

Okay, I've loaded it here (right-click and save) It's 44 minutes long, so it's a bigass file, but well worth the d/l time.
June 27, 200619 yr Member Sweet!!! Thanks SO much! I'll let you know in 22 minutes. Well, 22 + 44. Ok an Hour and 6 minutes.
June 27, 200619 yr Member "Unchained Melody" was sang by Justin at Steve and Kayla's "interrupted" wedding in February 1990 (A pregnant Kayla was arrested for Marina's murder, which stopped the wedding...) I think this was way before it was used for Marlena/RoJohn/John/Roman/Forest Alamain/Father John. But I could be wrong
June 27, 200619 yr Member I loved the montage, but the clip of his death? Oh, hell. So many things, little details, fit so well with what we know about Steve today. It was intense. Soaps don't do death like this anymore, even when they can be taken serious. Sigh.
June 27, 200619 yr Member Awwwww! That was beautiful!!! Thanks for making and sharing that-- perfect song and I love that version of it!
June 28, 200619 yr Member Excellent montage!!! Loved it! Hope the producers actually show one just like it! We need flashbacks!!!
June 28, 200619 yr Member That is a great trip down memory lane. That death scene is one of the best and most memorable episodes for me watching Days. I still have it somewhere and I remember crying so much that day and it takes alot to do that. Steve's death was so intense.
June 28, 200619 yr Member I'm ashamed to admit it, but I cried so hard the first time I watched Steve's death scenes that I dry-heaved/almost puked! It was just too much for my little 15-year-old heart to take!!

It was just too much for my little 15-year-old heart to take!! I have only been able to watch it once all the way through: when it aired. I tried to watch it again once about a year ago, thinking enough time had passed that I would be able to watch w/o a problem. I got as far as Marcus in the hospital chapel begging God not to let his brother die. I was bawling my eyes out and couldn't watch anymore.
June 28, 200619 yr Member Thanks for posting this. I cried like a baby all over again. Damn, I'm so glad they are back.
