Thoughts:

• That is right, Bill. Let Naomi's words ring true in your ear. You know it is a major alarm. And of course you are reaching out to the woman you belong with. Should not have cheated on her, Bill. You had a prized woman.

• Madison's case being dismissed today would be excellent. That would be the ideal situation.

• Sorry Katherine... I highly doubt any idea you have could put Tomas into a better mood, and I do not blame him.

• Not a bad idea, Izaiah, in ordering the biggest meal possible. That is exactly what I would do.

• Miss Shanice... what have you cooked up? Again, Cedric feels warmer than Lamont, and I like that dynamic contrast between them.

• Let's hope that Mike is compelled to turn over the discovery. Otherwise, I am with Naomi that Mike is likely hiding something, otherwise.

• Sorry Chelsea but Madison does not strike me as someone who would go for "sweet revenge".

• Uhm, Katherine, that purse is hideous and I doubt Tomas cares about the purse that much. And I agree... Katherine flipping the conversation was just very self-centred. I do not blame Tomas for being upset.

• Glad that Lamont listens to Shanice. Very glad. She is not someone to mess with. Ugh. Lamont's attitude is beyond off-putting and annoying. Cedric seems more level-headed, and that is more attractive.

• Chelsea, do not celebrate until there is undeniable reason to. Wait for confirmation from Bill and Naomi before doing anything.

• Florence Tattletale? Hayley, you are not Dani Dupree. Do not make up names for other people. It does not suit you.

• Katherine, you are being absolutely INSUFFERABLE! Absolutely insufferable. That stint in the hospital did nothing for your attitude.

• Judge Meyers looks no-nonsense and seems to have zero patience for Mike and his false pleasantries.

• Lamont, I get a feeling that unless someone is licking your backside, no one is worth your time.

• Good on Shanice for standing her ground and sticking with Ted. She is no-nonsense, and both Cedric and Lamont need to hear that.

• Oh, good case, Naomi. Plus, Chelsea is the daughter of Mike's former boss. Hilarious. Naomi's got a good head on her shoulders and sense of legal approach. Eat it, Naomi. Eat it.

• OH! Mikey boy, you just LOST! Put that in your short, egotistical pipe, and choke on it.

• I am glad that Naomi is not folding in on joining Bill's lawfirm. Shows she is firm in her stance and is able to maintain it.

• Eva, the voice of reason you happen to be. You know how to put things into perspective. Yes, she does get you, Tomas, but unless you end things with Katherine, you are teetering a dangerous line again.

• Hayley, you are letting your guard down a bit too much with Tomas. Your façade is fading... very, very fast.

Notes:

• It is a middle initial day! Love days like this. Both Bibel and Davis work exceptionally well together, so I am happy that they are continuing to be paired together.

• The slowburn of reuniting Bill and Dani is such a classic soap move. Purely classic. Also helps that Timon Kyle Durrett and Karla Mosley have some of the best chemistry on the cast of romantic partners.

• Whatever happened behind-the-scenes to shift Tomas' demeanour should have happened long ago, and Alex Alegria is selling it. I like Tomas' softer side; however, this new colder personality is a welcomed shakeup.

• They are clearly setting up a couples' swap with Eva/Izaiah and Katherine/Tomas, and I have absolutely no upset by it. Pair Katherine and Izaiah so I can mute both of them.

Oh look, Bill passes out again next week. They really need to do something with this one. Perhaps Dani will save him. It's clear they're going down the Dani/Bill reconciliation path.

LOL at Leslie loving two men fight about her.

I often think about when Guza was co-head writer during the first six to seven months and how so much happened in all the stories in those months that we all kind of wish that things could slow down so we had a chance to breathe. I ask myself what if Thomson (Guza's replacement) had been the co head writer from the start how long would it have taken for Ted and Nicole to find out that Eva was his daughter, how long till we found out that Hayley was a con artist, or how long before Eva/Tomas would have slept together and Kat discovered them. My guess would have been that we still would have been waiting for those things to happen.

I'm all for anticipation, but if you drag things out too much.. people will stop caring.

Lastly seeing MVJ praise Thomson on Twitter makes me wonder if maybe she might need to start formulating successor plans since she is in her mid 70s and her Twitter feed can sometimes come off as looney tunes and the soap could last several years.

-- The final scene today with Bill and Naomi was uneventful and boring. Once again, they're trying to save the week with previews.

-- The Madison lawsuit case bores me to death because the case itself is BEYOND stupid. I see no stakes in a lawsuit that wouldn't go anywhere.

-- Setting up that video conference was smokes & mirrors -- trying to stop us from thinking about how LAME the lawsuit is. This is going to end with a thud, and with them never going to court.

-- Sticking Chelsea and Madison in bed while the video conference with the judge took place was odd as hell.

-- I don't think Alex Alegria is selling anything. He's a terrible actor, period. He just makes Tomas look unbelievably stupid. Only an absolute moron would think his reaction to Naomi working for Bill is reasonable.

-- Kat said nothing wrong to Tomas. Nothing.

-- If we're getting partner switching with Kat and Eva, I'm shrugging my shoulders. I don't know why I should care.

-- Dani and Bill are not an example of a classic soap couple to me. Dani has already physically cheated on her husband, and now is emotionally cheating with him at every turn. This is a guy who ABUSED her emotionally for years. No way am I supporting that.

-- A good Friday show to end the week? It wasn't.

It's full out Passions-level storytelling at this point.

I KNOW this is a soap opera and we aren't gonna get a montage of Seoul, but I get unreasonably annoyed on soaps when characters are travelling to exciting new cities around the world and get free time, free time where they can explore with their loved one(s) no less, and they decide it's better to take advantage of the hotel room... C'mon. Especially since I'm sure there's nothing in that hotel that they couldn't find in their own homes and the country club.

The writers are holding on to way too many culminations of stories and I don't see the point. A full year of Hayley poisoning Bill is excessive and even if they patterned the plot after real life cases it would still be too long.
