Laura is such an inconsequential side character, you just know that was on purpose so Leslie could get away with it. I don’t think we’ll ever be seeing #justiceforlaura, lol

I will never stop beating the drum of what a horrible, off-putting, and irrelevant character Ashley is, and what a boring actress Jen Jacob is (she can’t rise above the horrible writing for her charac

Protecting teenagers from unplanned pregnancies isn't a 'heteronormative' double standard; it's just Parenting 101. Trying to link Martin's adult relationship to his rules for his teenagers is a massi

The show definitely plays it too safe quite often, which I think can be detrimental to both stories and characters.

She insulted her clothes after bc she already did not get a good vibe from her for good reason. Was it rude? Yes, but she saw right through her

There's nothing wrong with liking Kat but don't make excuses for her elitism. Kat doesn't like broke people unless they present in a aspirational mold or they bow down to the Duprees. And bringing up Iziah doesn't count because if Iziah wasn't Jacob's brother, Kat wouldn't tolerate him.

It was a real mistake not to let Bill run against Martin in this primary. That could've been a great story, or introducing a young rival for Martin (or rival staffer) who Kat or Eva could've gotten involved with. I'd say you could at the very least introduce an opponent but there is no way the BTG audience is going to get behind what would be a GOP-coded candidate lol. Maybe thread the needle and say someone jumped in as an independent?

At first I shrugged my shoulders at this Bill vs Martin idea. But y'all were right. The concept of somebody like Bill amassing more power is a scary thought. He's already a freaking menace as a lawyer. And he's not even the district attorney. Government Bill would be too much.

-- The Kat and Eva scenes were wonderful. Great dialogue, great performances by both Colby and Ambyr.

-- I do think the script played HEAVILY into Kat being held accountable much more than Eva. That bothered me.

-- Leslie with her rolled-up wad of money was cartoonish. They can give her a gonzo personality without resorting to something so ridiculous.

-- Tomas an Chelsea sharing multiple scenes. SPARE ME.

-- Lord knows I'm no apologist for Tomas, but having Chelsea be the one to push back on him as she did was a choice. She still doesn't come off to me as a mature, engaged woman who understands life.

-- Oh, Dani, I'm so glad you realize how much you love Andre after he screws you. She's embarrassing, and I want to shake her.

Eva does like Kat and subtly wants her validation, so while I can see the tension remaining I think it will still be on Kat's part more.

Tomas coming up with a proposal at such a trying time is totally ridiculous not to mention jarring because during the tornado he showed little concerned for Kat.

Timon Kyle Durrett executes Bill's expressions of disdain for Andre in a way that few male actors tend to achieve.
