I remember folks roasting PM when he came back to DAYS because he looked his age, unlike Austin Peck who had physically aged a bit more gracefully and had a more fruitful daytime career (but is allegedly pretty obnoxious). These heartfelt tributes even from people who only worked with him briefly in controversial stories, like Kate Mansi, are really something.

Kate Mansi and Patrick Muldoon appeared to have become friends, even after they both left DAYS. They would good-naturedly joke with one another on social media from time to time.

I know that reboot wasn't successful but I really enjoyed the show around that time, even the affair Austin had with Abby. I was sad when the writers were replaced and they scrapped everything. I thought he still looked good and made a great Austin.

So sad to now hear about his passing especially considering how happy he was. His career was going really well and he had so much to look forward to. I wonder how Denise Richards is doing. He appeared with her on RHOBH and they were close. Her daughter Lola posted about his death and it sounds like it's going to be really difficult on them. Wishing all his family and friends peace.

RIP Patrick Muldoon. I’d always pick his Austin over Peck’s any day. Plus I remember him as the not Richard Hart on Melrose as well along with Starship Troopers.

Such a sad loss 57 is way too young kind of puts my own age and mortality in perspective as well.

RIP to a wonderful actor that could play the heart throb (Austin), the cheater (Jeff on Saved by the Bell), the psycho (Richard on Melrose Place), and play the holiday love interest (A Boyfriend for Christmas).

Mine too LOL.

When he showed up on Melrose I remembered him from Saved by the Bell (I didn't watch Reilly Days) so I wasn't surprised at all that his Melrose character was slimy.
