Is Eric the oldest actor to have worked on Y&R? I think Jeanne Cooper was 84 when she died.

Not sure.

JC was 84 when she passed in May 2013. She would have been 85 in October 2013.

Jerry Douglas was 84 in 2016 when Ghost John last appeared. Jerry passed in November 2021 three days before what would have been his 89th birthday.

Marla Adams was 82 in 2020 when Dina was killed off. Marla passed in April 2024 at age 85. She would have been 86 in August 2024.

I would love to know what the actors really think of today's Y&R.

Of course, they are professional and talk things up but those who remember the old days must shake their heads when they get a script.

Remember when Sally Sussman/Kay Alden returned and a few castmembers subtly dissed the previous writer, hoping things might turn around with someone from the Bell days at the helm. That was not to be, but it was telling in it's own way.

Amelia Heinle gave a red carpet interview where she said during the Aunt Jordan reveal everyone was trying really hard not to laugh at the dialogue about the poisoned water and that EB turned to her and said this will either turn out great or like total crap.

I feel bad for the Genoa City citizens that are employed at any of the companies in town, Newman, Chancellor, Jabot. They must get daily emails to announce who the CEO is for the day, what direction the company is going in now, etc.. Or do they just sit around drinking company coffee all day laughing at their incompetent bosses who can't even keep ownership of their companies?

It's amazing any employees would be left. I would have been on Linkedin ages ago!
