That's s--- you do in your 20s, not when you're a grown ass woman of nearly 50.Now to be fair... it DOES happen. Heck, it's happening for some folk even as I type this.
2 hours ago2 hr Member I think the way that Lia is written and presented works because she's designed to be a short term character ( I think she lasts airs in May if I'm not mistaken) so her being a bit more board/sinister is acceptable because we know she's not designed to be long term vs SPS who the show insists on keeping yet refuse to reign in the actress nor write more diverse content for the character to justify keeping her on canvas. As opposed to Hayley, who gets fiesty and mouthy when she's either with Lynette or Randy.. yet presents herself as more doting/slightly subdued when she's with Bill or the other characters. We're getting different sides to the Hayley (Val- didn't Lynette call her that) so she isn't being a cartoon. I'm glad the show backed off the poisoning Bill story somewhat because that would have written her into a corner.. though I expect that will come back to her haunt her down the road.May seems to be a big month since the character of Lia is set to end her run in May according to the cast write up when she joined, the Cotillion is happening, and I'm sure other things will pop in May... though I still wish there was a bit more staggering of the plots so that March had something going for it other then the Anita story and to a lesser extent Derek's journey post Ashley and moving into a new career.Tomas vs Hayley has been interesting... it's where AA's 'approach' seems to work best opposite MG's approach as Hayley. I hope they continue to have run ins in the coming weeks... and I'm hoping for another Derek vs SPS run in since he seems to push her buttons in a way that no one else can (plus, we did get a break from her this week).

That's s--- you do in your 20s, not when you're a grown ass woman of nearly 50.Nicole did live a rather proper existence and married young. People like that tend to go a little wild if they get divorced. Not everyone has a ho phase but it's an option that could manifest itself later if you don't live it in your 20s or 30s. 50s are considered more vibrant these days, but on the flip side I look back at how "The Golden Girls" was written and the girls were portrayed as being very liberal when it came to sex so this idea has been around for quite a long time.
1 hour ago1 hr Member I don't have a problem with her cutting loose and being a single sexually active woman. I do have a problem with her acting aggrieved like the guys are the problem in this triangle, when she is the one actively pitting them against each other every week and gleeful about it. Then she 180s and lectures them about not vying for her attention.
1 hour ago1 hr Member That's exactly it. I have no problem with Nicole having sex all over the place. No sex shaming here at all. It's the way she's treating these guys that's a huge problem, and I wish both of them would tell her to eff off.I don't even like Carlton, but Nicole has made me sympathize with him, and I will never understand Kial giving Nicole a key to his place. That's just nuts when she's not exclusive.
1 hour ago1 hr Member That's the issue I have too. Then again it does make for a good plot because it's reversing the typical story of a man being a player and toying with women.

Aside from Kat, who would care? How would that impact story?YOu dont need to have people care about a character to kill them off. I outlined what it would impact and it would be about Hayley and Lynette plotting together with actual stakes that put them on even ground. The charater is a dud and should be dropped. After a year, the fact that no one would care except Kat is testament to that37 minutes ago, Vee said:I don't have a problem with her cutting loose and being a single sexually active woman. She legit picked an argument with him and sent him home and never communicated where her head was at. Instead she goes and sleeps with the other guy and waps him in as her date without informing Carlton about that. I did feel bad for him today. That was nasty work and all bc she ddint like to hear about herself Edited 1 hour ago1 hr by Cheap21

49 minutes ago49 min Member If the Hayley/Lynette/Randy story concludes without Tomas getting knocked in the head, the writers have missed a wonderful opportunity to get rid of the show's most irritatingly bad actor in a memorable manner. Likewise, if the Plasma Thieves Storyline ends without Derek in a body bag, they've missed a golden opportunity to get rid of another dud.
48 minutes ago48 min Member So if Hayley and Lynette plot and kill Tomas, what are the actual stakes? How does that put them on even ground? All that does is make both characters murderers written into a corner. They're already on even ground now -- they each have a lot of dirt on the other.Look, I'm hardly a Tomas fan, and I've been complaining about Alex Alegria from week one, but I don't see how offing him creates any decent story. We'll just end up with Hayley and Lynette arguing over drinks at Uptown. We already have that.
