I hope Brennan walks in on them banging and has a heart attack or something. Clearly, I am starving for any kind of drama right now lol.

How delightfully old school would that be! That’s like something you read in the synopsis from a soap in the late 60’s. Maybe he can suffer hysterical amnesia and end up on a farm with a sweet, down to earth lady with some kind of physical impairment? Bill Bell would be proud!

Kidding aside, yes, we need drama here. It can’t all be shallow twists and fast paced. Every time they slow down just a little bit between Drew events, the cracks show a lot. It’s still better than GH has been in over a decade for me, but the frustration is it could be better. The boring stuff Frank seems to hate fills time and makes the characters richer, which also makes payoffs bigger. We could easily have a hybrid with what he prefers and also at least one actual earned emotion per episode because a character was actually explored beyond a plot point.

I found it amusing that the writers picked Auckland of all places to send Liesl.

I wonder if her conference will be at the new convention centre, I went to the open day two weeks ago lol

She's going to guest star on Shortland Street!

She'd fit right in...

I don't know if I was totally feeling Joss's performance. It was a little bug-eyed and over the top. Also the stuff about Sonny came out of nowhere. It felt a little jarring when the rest of the show treats him like a cuddly romantic hero and go to guy for life advice.

Carly did better with her performance, mostly because it was more restrained. She has more chemistry with Valentin that with other people they've tried to pair her with the last few years. But Valentin is such a crappy, wimpy character.. we really need more of him?

I'll say this much...I really did enjoy that Luke episode. And my eyes watered when among all of the flashbacks, they gave me the first time I ever saw Luke and Laura (outside of the return promo where I had to ask my mom who Luke and Laura and she looked at me funny aka 'Not my Luggage!' lol). It was just great to see so much flashbacks from things that happened decades ago vs last year. I don't think there was anything I disliked about it. Alexa gave such a masterclass. You would think she had always been there as Lulu. Okay, I side-eyed but at the same time gave a lil respect at the use of Lucky. It would have been weird not to include him. BUT they could have actually had him in PC if they were not so bound and determined to fumble his return.

For the record @Antoyne ...I did enjoy the date.

And Maxie's return for me...so far...has really been good. Though like others I've seen on here, I totally forgot about the whole Bailey Lu saga. I can give credit to the writers for actually trying to make more stakes to it all with Lulu and Nathan, but meh. Really loving the amount of scenes that Spin is getting with BLQ.

Well, Frank gotta Frank.

But it is telling that when the show is not focused on the Michael/Willow/Drew saga, that the other stories seem so put together with mileage varying.
