It pains me to write that Carly is too far above this nonsense. Lol. It's not fun. It's actually just a pain in the ass character being rude. No one is forcing Britt to stay at Kelly's. Jason is paying for her room and all she can do is trash it to the owner. World famous supermodels, mob moll/teachers, singing sensations on endless tours, and realJagger have all lived there with no complaint. Kelly's/Bobbie's is obviously amazing.

Anyhow, Carly was never the obstacle in the Britt/Jason relationship. Steve not getting vaxxed and Kelly deciding to leave every year was lol. The beginning of the relationship was interesting, and KT/SB do have chemistry, but it went nowhere so there isn't a lot of star-crossed issues to snark to Carly about.

Willow needs to plug or stab Britt with a syringe next. I hate when I have to root for Carly but Britt is a one-note, obnoxious shrew. I know the show doesn't care about Liz, but the chemistry between her and Jason is still there.

Britt and her Rocco obsession are not needed on the canvas, especially given all the reasons mentioned in other posts here. Liz, Robin, and Sam were more worthy rivals for Carly, and the connection was simply undeniable. I hope Kelly gets another itch to leave the show.

Onto other things, I wish GH would drop the Joss-Alias story. Joss doesn't have IT. I can't name one decent story she has ever carried. And only in the soap world can Nathan, who has been "dead" for years, be promoted to lead detective. He can go too, if I'm being honest. I don't think Maxie's return can save him.

I think Frank is far more likely to drop her when something better (or another daytime star, or both) comes along for Jason.

After a mostly dreadful first year back, Jason's role on the show has been somewhat invigorated since Sam's death by his new involvement with the Quartermaines. Sonny and Carly are frankly less and less a part of his life. If they find better adventure stories for him than the current Britt/cold fusion mess (and a better occupation for him) he could continue to recoup. There are better romantic options for him to bring in, be it someone old like Keesha Ward or entirely new characters. (I have no interest in revisiting him and Elizabeth at this point)

I've said this before but Joss is increasingly circling the C-tier of characters again after another attempt at a hard push last year. Just as in 2023-24, it faltered and she vanished for a long while. That doesn't feel like coincidence.

Maxie's return can't save Nathan because Nathan has never been a viable character with any personality beyond 'we finally cast the hunk we wanted for Kirsten Storms after 10 years of trying'. I don't think RP will be here forever anyway, but I have never been remotely interested in them as a couple. Nor am I some Spixie loyalist but they really recovered well in 2024, and it's shameful to see Spinelli almost totally forgotten by the show at present. He raised her children, with and without her over the years - not unlike Mac. I'd much rather see them recommitted to each other with a proper wedding, for awhile (and later you can break them up and put Maxie with any number of people).

But having Jason marry Carly to have a supposedly strong mob image after Sonny "died" derailed Jason/Britt until both actors left/got fired. Just like Spencer and Trina, GH delayed the relationship too long until one of the actors had to leave.

None of that is relevant to the fact that here and now Britt is unbearable to watch, and doesn't have a fraction of the past relationship with Jason (or Carly) that she keeps acting like she does.

Im not talking about Britt being unbearable now. I'm saying that Carly was an obstacle to their relationship prior to both actors leaving, accordingly, the fizzling out of Jason and Britt can't solely be blamed on actor departures.
