Kriezman wasn't HW at ATWT that long. I mainly remember a story where Paul Ryan had a chip in his head (wasn't that Paul?).

His GL run was very polarizing. I didn't watch most of it. If you like mind control, intrigue, or bad boys who want to sleep with their cousins, he's for you.

I could be mistaken, but I think it was he (and Donna Swajeski) who also hit upon the oh-so-brilliant idea of giving Erica Kane an evil lookalike (or someone who had plastic surgery to make herself look like Erica, I can't be bothered to remember which anymore). Now, y'all KNOW that Erica Kane is my spirit diva, but even I know that giving La Lucci a dual role is rushing in where angels fear to tread.

I forgot all that. What was her name - Jane?

Between that and sleeping with Ryan and the showgirl they really were out of ideas for Erica in those last years...

Yes. I thought Agnes and Broderick had something to do with some of that too, or maybe it was just what they inherited near the end.

I thought Tom Pelphrey's brief character on ATWT had the James Stenbeck microchip in his head. Or who knows, maybe both he and Paul did. I barely watched any of the show by that point. So bad.

Oh right it was Pelphrey. Thanks. I have some vague memory of a mind controlled Paul too but maybe I just hallucinated that while fast forwarding.

The thing is, the story to end all stories for Erica - the one event that could have set off a chain of other events and spun her life in an entirely new direction - was staring them all in their faces, and either they didn't recognize it, or were prevented from telling it.

That's right: I'm talking about Erica Kane finding a lump in her breast.

Anyways.

I see Kreizman stays getting points for creating or co-creating Dr. Reid Oliver, a.k.a. The Gay John Dixon, but creating one fascinating character who was both a total shitheel and the most mature romance young Luke Grimaldi Snyder ever experienced does not mean he's capable of HW'ing an entire show. Believe me, I suffered through enough of his GL and AMC to know what I'm talking about, lol.

My needle drop to anyone who thinks David Kreizman should be given another HW'ing gig:

OMG, I absolutely love that song. ONJ has always been one of my favorites. Great song choice 🤪🤪🤪

-- Julie running a Bereavement Book Club? Yeah, that'll bring in the viewers.

-- Leo is beyond pathetic. Do the writers think we sympathize with him when he says he needs time to process his feelings about Dimitri? When he tells Javi "I'm not good enough for you"? I want Javi to be angry instead of crying all over the place. Leo is a POS.

When Alice was Julie's age, she was helping Bo break out of prison! Julie is way too vital to be doing something like a moderating a [!@#$%^&*] book club. They might as well wheel her out to Shady Pines.

Exactly. Just more proof Cwikly and Ford are awful.

And no, I don't want to see her and the old guy together. I'd say this show should know better, but I don't trust them.

The bookstore was a bad idea from the beginning. It's suffocating and stifling, and watching extras walk around and look at the same 4 shelves of books is laughable.

I wouldn't say that! For years, ATWT had the Wade Bookstore as one of its' mainstays; and from what I understand, a lot of great drama went down there, too. And I'm not necessarily worried about Julie owning and running it either, because Lisa ran the Wade Bookstore, and Lisa and Julie were very similar women (no doubt, due to Bill Bell's influence). But ATWT usually portrayed Lisa as being more glamorous and worldly than how DAYS is portraying Julie these days. Lisa wouldn't be hosting no damn book clubs, and certainly not any BEREAVEMENT book clubs.

A Marlena/Maggie scene!

They're so rare that it's always nice when we get them, regardless of the circumstances, and regardless of how chilly things seem to be between them when they're on camera together. The book club might not be the best idea in the world but I enjoyed the two of them and Julie coming together to discuss grief and how they've been feeling since they lost their husbands. Having Marlena be the one that was reluctant about the idea of the book club was a good choice, and I hope that gets explored a lot more. Marlena's grief should be front and center. I agreed with Julie and Maggie when they said that it was still too soon for her. Foster was a little unnecessary though. For a show that's so cash strapped, he seems like a character that could be easily cut to save a few dollars lol

While I feel like Chad and Jack/Jennifer not having a full on custody battle for Thomas and Charlotte was a missed opportunity, I did enjoy their scenes at the mediation today. Everyone did a pretty good job, particularly Billy Flynn. And all their actions make sense based on everything that they've been through, even though I get why some people don't like Jennifer in this storyline. I liked seeing Chad go head to head with the two of them. Chad bringing up Jennifer's addiction to painkillers was a nice surprise but I would've liked to have seen a little more drama. That was a good start, but there needed to be more. Thomas still having doubts about Chad and the agreement could lead to something interesting happening as well.

Speaking of Thomas, Jeremy comforting him was nice to see but yeah, Jeremy is being wasted. And I don't understand why he hasn't had a bigger part in Stephanie's stalker storyline since he's the obvious red herring.

I think the frustrating part for me right now is that the show can have some nice scenes, for example, I enjoyed the Marlena/Sarah stuff on Tuesday, but there doesn't seem to be much in actual story and certainly nothing that feels like it has any energy to it.
