The Young and the Restless, The Bold and the Beautiful, Beyond the Gates, The Price is Right, Let's Make a Deal, CBS

On Wednesday, December 31, the final day of the 2025 calendar year, CBS will air all-new episodes of “The Young and the Restless” and “The Bold and the Beautiful” on the East Coast, but not on the West Coast* due to CBS Sports coverage of College Football (Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl), starting at 2:00 p.m. ET/11:00 a.m. PT. As a result, “Beyond the Gates” and “Let’s Make a Deal” will be fully preempted by the network.

In some markets, including Los Angeles (KCBS/CBS2)*, “The Young and the Restless” will air at 3:00 p.m. PT, replacing repeats of “Judge Judy,” a CBS representative confirms to Soap Opera Network. Meanwhile, any missed episodes of other CBS daytime programming will be available to stream On Demand on Paramount+ later in the day.

The episode of “The Bold and the Beautiful” will feature Bill (Don Diamont) angrily confronting Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), and Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) blaming Bill for permanently damaging Brooke’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Katie’s (Heather Tom) relationship. Later, Katie gets emotional with Bill, telling him of Brooke’s misdeeds.

“The Young and the Restless” features an episode with Cane (Billy Flynn) making a bold move to impress Lily (Christel Khalil), Adam (Mark Grossman) and Sally (Courtney Hope) discussing their complicated past, and Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) exploring her feelings for Daniel (Michael Graziadei).

“The Price is Right” is the only CBS daytime program that will not be impacted by sports or other programming changes, as the game show airs at 11:00 a.m. on the East Coast and 10:00 a.m. on the West Coast.

The Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl features Duke vs. Arizona State at the Sun Bowl Stadium in El Paso, Texas.

“Beyond the Gates” returns with an all-new episode on Thursday, January 1, the final episode from Season 1, with Season 2 kicking off on Friday, January 2.

Interesting, BTG will air a new episode for the first time following repeats..

I guess it's too much of a headache for the Mountain/Pacific CBS affiliates to air today's B&B episode tomorrow instead of a repeat.
