I still dip in and out of this forum but I’d be lying if I’m not coming on here daily to check for the “JG is out at Y&R!” Article which has not come yet.. 😭. That will be a great day.

Maybe he'll leave on his own accord. Stranger things have happened. Billy Flynn is a really good actor and I still believe he is totally wrong for the role of Cane. I don't believe his casting is as bad as Maura West as Diane, but there's just so much off about it.

It won't come. Not unless ratings/demos tank, which they are not.

Y&R remains #1 for one reason and one reason only: Eric Braeden. Y&R's core audience doesn't really give a hoot about how bad the rest of the show is; as long as they get to see EB/Victor, they're good.

Oh I think it’s just as bad as Maura as Diane. He deaged by 20 years and suddenly wasn’t Australian.

The show is already revolving around characters who have been there for decades and when they get the chance to bring on a new character with no baggage they blow it by recycling Cane.

Mmmmm ASHLEY.

We know it's a rare thing that I ask for spoilers so since we know I'm not regularly watching...how long is ED around?

PS. Lily vs Giggly Heffa for the win.

Daniel Day Lewis and Meryl Streep couldn't make this material work.

Especially Meryl Streep! Have you seen "Still of the Night"? Oof, lol.

This Matt Clark story may not be the best, but it truly is better than the AI bull we're dealing with back in Genoa City.

Agree but as the LA story goes on, if recent history is anything to go by, it will trudge along and peter out.

See: Aristotle Dumas, Mariah' trauma, Ashley's personality disorder, Ashland Locke etc etc.

I think Lucas Adams is doing well as Noah. The character seems more dynamic than what we got with Rory Gibson.

I'm questioning why Mitch had to be Matt Clark. So far all they've said is 'somehow Matt faked his death' Credibility is stretched for no reason.

Why not have Mitch be a new character- a sleazy dude who isn't thrilled to find out Noah is messing with his wife. Everything could have happened in the same way, with Sharon and Nick trying to find out more about Mitch in LA.

Or if they wanted a stronger Newman connection, have Mitch be the son/brother of someone Victor had tangled with-there are a lot of them to choose from. He encounters Noah accidentally and then realizes who he is and sees this as an opportunity to plot revenge.

And there is still nothing particularly Noir about this story.
