It’s great how they set our expectations so low that we get excited about staring at a different background for a month while they sit and talk about nothing! ;)

Yeah it’s pretty bad. This show could and SHOULD be able to do much better!

Isn't that the truth.

Still, if we're looking for a silver lining -- or anything -- at least we can talk about the new sets. The storylines are still bad, in my opinion. These L.A. scenes should be interesting, but instead I'm wondering how all these Genoa City people keep running into each other in a city as big as Los Angeles.

That outdoor rooftop set -- which does seem to be a real place? -- is already in danger of overuse. I'm nitpicking -- again -- but I hate that table pushed up against the concrete wall. I can't see anyone choosing to sit there and feel closed in.

Kyle meeting Sienna in what looks like an empty knock-off Hard Rock Cafe set is just as ridiculous!!

Are the LA episodes worth checking out. I did want to check out Tamara’s new role as I’ll always be a fan of her.

Tamara is as solid as usual in the part, but I wish they'd glammed her up, even a little.

She's looked dressed down and makeup empty on her most recent stints on GH and Y&R, and now she looks the same here.

I am idly curious how Tamara and

Spoiler

Howarth

work out together. But woof, those names.

IKR?  And to think there was a time when I complained about how Bill Bell and Kay Alden gave their otherwise vibrant female characters such old-sounding names like "Phyllis" and "Alice."

I caught just a little bit of her scenes with Michael Mealor. Tamara has a whole vibe when she’s playing a tough chick. She’s very sexy. I wonder how she’d play opposite Stafford. I don’t remember them crossing paths on GH.

Phyllis was such an old-fashioned name for a character introduced in 1994. I can't remember how old Phyllis was when she was introduced but Michelle Stafford was 29 in 1994.

Yeah...not at all like the last time the cast were in L. A. back in 2017 which really jumpstarted the stories in Sally Sussman's run.

I feel like Tamara would eat her alive.

You could be like me and play it like background...which is what I've been doing. If it ain't Josh Morrow's bubble butt, Jess Walton (who I believe Jill has left...AGAIN), involving Danny or Christine, or Tamara Braun, I'm paying it no mind.

My gosh I was actually thinking about that too and how that really got the show revitalized during her run.

I know a lot of people on this complained a lot about Sussman’s writing, in retrospect would they have complained as loudly knowing we’d eventually be suffering with Josh Griffith for over 6 years now?

Ever since I heard they were doing another storyline in L. A., that was all I could think of. Because that was such a turning point in Sussman's writing for a lot of the audience if I remember correctly. I remember being in the minority for her run. And really wished once she hit her L. A. episodes, they had just kept her for one more year cuz the potential was there. Heck...Juliet might even still be alive. Though sadly that does mean Cane would not have been recast and Lily wouldn't be on better footing like she is now. Or would she?

Hmmm...interesting question. Josh was good. Until he wasn't.
