So we're all on the same page: Lucas Adams is a good actor who will be wasted by Josh Griffith.

Isn't it sad that nothing we hear about the show is exciting?

In my head, this comes off as Josh Griffith getting pissed when Rory Gibson made a smash on GH when cast as Michael -- and when everyone said Rory didn't work on Y&R because of the writing. I feel as if Griffith wants to prove everyone wrong. Problem is, he can't.

Damn, now I'm going to have to watch YR again.

Good casting but YR is soooo boring to watch.

He'll be reunited with TB.

He's a really good actor IMO, and DAYS could never figure out how to use him. I hope he's the one that can finally do something with the cursed role of Noah.

Spoiler

I don't know why they could never figure out how to write for him. Part of it seemed to be keeping Nick acting like a dude in his late 20s/Early 30s.

Personally, I thought Lucas Adams' acting skill on DAYS was very dull and uninteresting.  Adams seems pleasant in real life but I just wasn't inspired by his acting.

But, as has been pointed out, it won't matter if his acting skills are good or not -- because the writing will be dull regardless.

I would not have believed Rory Gibson would take GH by storm based on his Y&R work. In fact I pooh-poohed his casting. That was my mistake.

I won't judge Adams much by his role here - I remember him being okay at Days years ago, but Days isn't a great showcase for many actors either. Who knows, maybe he'll be the Noah that clicks. But I doubt it.

They honestly might as well just prop up a cardboard standee of Robert Adamson with a hole where the mouth is for a crewmember to talk through and feed lines and call it a day. That is the most Griffith and Y&R invest in Noah, or most other characters under the age of 45.

No doubt Allie and Noah will have parted ways.

Josh brought back Noah with Gibson and then did dropped him, so there's that in the mix.

The upside is Club Glam might reopen!!

I feel like JG really struggles with younger characters in general. I know they're popular but I found Kyle and Summer to both be bland and boring under his tenure, Claire is no different and the list goes on.

Overall he really seems to struggle with writing interesting characters and relationships. He is extremely plot driven and with most of the plots involving business/murder I can see how he struggles to keep the younger characters in the loop.

What in the world!!!

No offense cuz I like Lucas, but it seems like a spite hire since Rory Gibson is getting so much attention on GH

THIS. For whatever reason Noah is such a failed character just like Abby.

That’s what happens when decent actors actually get decent writing compared to what we get from JG anymore.

But we don't get anything from JG, but a silly concept about trains on 7 continents.

Oh, wait!! lol.

There's at least a good reason with Abby. She never should have existed. The story that conceived her was grotesque and extremely damaging to a number of characters. It shouldn't be that way with Noah. The only reason is because of all that has been said above - a program that is allergic to anyone under 40 and an insistence that Nick being 18 at heart is somehow endearing and natural.

I'm not sure if Griffith even cares enough to make that type of choice but I could see someone else at the show feeling that way (maybe JFP).

Hard to figure out what he doesn't struggle with...

I credit the people who said he would do better on GH than Y&R because of Griffith. I was not expecting anything from him, and with the general passive writing for Michael I wasn't expecting much there either.

I'm half-surprised Y&R didn't try to hire Chad Duell. Maybe he made it clear he's not interested.

@DRW50 @Vee @BetterForgotten

Is Josh Griffith is biggest hack in soap history? For years I remember so many people always sung his praises until his 2012-13 Y&R stint went awry along with his earlier very disappointing 2003 OLTL return with Malone, but now looking back I do believe Josh Griffith has pretty much faked his way over the last 30+ years even going back to his Santa Barbara days and absolutely deserves no credit whatsoever.
