I go with Number 1, but I love Number 2 as well.

Speaking of...you know I'm not watching so I have to ask...has the wedding happened yet?

Traci's return to town was treated as the second coming.

I was surprised she went into detail about her past with Cane. I thought that would be swept under the rug a. because it was a filler story that went nowhere and b. because of the recast and reset of Cane it didn't have any relevance.

But instead of a 'yes, Cane and I became close when I was writing a book and I'm surprised he's Dumas etc'  Traci went all in on their epic love story of him wanting a relationship and she pulling the plug.

-- All of it was laughable and bad. Traci called it off with Cane? 😂 Yeah, you go with that, Josh.

-- This is another example of how Josh Griffith uses "history." He takes something that happened years ago and changes what happened.

-- What is up with the eyeliner and fake lashes on Traci? I don't think her therapy is working.

No wedding yet. They just now had viewers pick out Cricket's wedding dress as a promotion.  Presumably, next, they'll film the actual wedding with her wearing whatever the viewers chose.  Just guessing that's how/when.

The wedding is set for November.

Huge Nov sweeps storyline. 2 barely seen characters tie the not. Will Danny's sister Gina show up to serenade the couple? Or will Danny croak out a love ballad to his bride?

Where will the wedding take place? The Jazz Lounge? Chancellor Park?

How exciting it will be if we get a ballad version of "Rock On"!

Thank god they are saving the wedding until a sweeps month. I thought there would be nothing to look forward to! <rolling eyes>.

I'm currently watching 1991 classics where Danny and Cricket are in their honeymoon bliss so I'm happy for them to finally get back together! :P

Thank you.

No reason to watch any time soon then. Not even for JM's new haircut.

So each episode now pretty much consists of groups of 2 characters seated having a discussion for the entire episode. They might shake things up by having a 3rd character enter the scene later.

Quite boring.

It is WAY beyond time for Y&R to be revamped and updated, and here's how I'd so it: Jettison several dead-wood characters; bring on a new working-class family, and some on-screen servants for both the Newman and Abbot households; then bring on a group of college-aged characters (four or five), which includes both legacy young people and new characters.

Next, divide the show's attention into thirds.  One-third for business storylines; one-third for class-conflict plots; and one-third for young romance plots.

I'd keep mostly the same sets for a while, until plots progress and budget allows for some changes.  Characters and writing are more important than sets.

The #1 soap shouldn't have budget problems like this. Just how can the "budget allow for some changes"?

The truth is that the sets are important, especially when the writing is this bad. We end up with  two or three characters having conversations in places that make no sense, and it's all static. People are seated and don't move.

And today, an angry Billy goes to the park to make a phone call? What?
