@Taoboi I’ve decided I’m not getting behind any other couples. They literally broke up both Isaiah/Jordan and Ric/Ava before they got any sort of mileage with these couples that had great chemistry.

Awww.

But to be fair...current GH goes at a snail's pace (and I don't mean slow burn) when it comes to creating couples. I'm lucky that there was not really a wacka wacka vibe to either one though there was attempts at humor. It would be nice if they did just one organically with organic drama rather than a gimmick.

I still don't understand how Ric/Ava unravel so quickly.

I am sure it's not a point anymore, but I remember when brain damaged Jason could not read a map or tell directions in the 90's.  When SBu read Britt's instructions I kept thinking he was going to go the entire wrong way.

And, yeah, I am going with the theory Scout totally shot Drew lol

Maybe Scout shot Drew because at some recent point she overheard him talking on the phone and realized that he is Shiloh, not Drew.

They have been reminding us, quite a lot lately, that Drew was once a great guy.

Color me shocked Portia didn’t find a way to sabotage Drew’s surgery.

From what I saw in that operating room, Portia couldn't sabotage OR save a patient on the table. Neither could Lucas.

It was like watching the Keystone Cops play doctor.

The "Who Shot Drew" mystery didn't disappoint. He's become such a smug SOB, and there are so many credible suspects. I'm not sure if I want it to be Scout. It feels predictable at this point, and it's hard to see a kid shooting someone, even their loathsome father, twice. That feels more calculated for an adult.

Either way, GH has delivered on this story.

But I really wish Liz had her own story. There's barely any mention of her history with Drew and it's all about her sudden one-sided friendship with Willow.

They actually just referenced it recently.  I couldn't believe they acknowledged it, even referring to the fact that she had deceived him.  I agree that it isn't nearly enough, but that was more than I ever expected we would get.  Jake Doe/Franco's friend/Oscar's father seems like an altogether different character than the man who Drew is now, even before he turned evil.

Maybe it’s all in my head, but it feels like there has been a number of moments recently where Drew’s former good guy persona has been mentioned.  Molly mentioned it to Michael, Curtis and Alexis talked with each other about it, BLQ mentioned it, and Tracy talked about what Drew “had become.”  It makes me think this shooting story might be used to redeem the character.  I have this feeling he might wake up and think he is just coming too after being attacked in prison, and be completely stunned when people explain to him all that has happened since then.

I'm frustrated that Emma seems to have been sidelined as the story that was really started when she returned to PC has been hijacked by other characters.  It seems like she is only appearing once every two weeks now

I like Drew’s brand of villainy because he’s not some crazy Cassadine type super villain or yet another mob boss. He’s just an as.shole who feels justified in stealing his nephew’s wife and gets off on being a prick.

Exactly.  I really hope Drew doesn't get killed off because he's the most interesting character on soaps right now (and has been for many months now).  Every show needs a character like Drew who just creates a ton story.

I'm the opposite. I think Drew is ridiculous and over the top. Nothing interesting about him at all. It's the other characters that are way more interesting with their reactions about him.

I don't know why they made him a Congressman. He hasn't "congressed" a single thing. What's his political affiliation?  He's seems con.....nevermind.🙃

Speak on it. I just saw scenes of them a few days ago and it was so odd to not see their own history in play. Not that I need Drew obsessing over Liz.

As much as I hate this show when it leads into the 'wacka wacka' humor, there been a few times when Drew has leaned into what power he has as a Congressman. His battling with Tracy over the Q crypt. The continuing (?) long-term story of how they are trying to use that amendment/law/proposal with Erza and Sidwell to take on Sonny/Jason is subtly blunt villain manipulation. Not to mention working to get Laura throw out as mayor due to her hero worship and character propping relationship with Sonny.

Yeah, I guess. 😊😊

I guess it would be alienating to mention a real world issues.

Especially right now. But I get what you mean. :)

As much as I feel it's gone on too long...I believe it was starting when I quit regularly viewing and Erza first appeared...I do (did?) like the long-term planning of Drew letting his always-simmering rivalry with Jason be the throughline to go after Sonny/Jason through (mostly) legal means. Especially since it was touching on the fact that people who realistically shouldn't be (ie Laura, Anna) are always propping Sonny. A mobster. Who killed an FBI agent just a year ago. How? But that's me looking forward nuances when I know better. :) Perhaps Erza will take that up since Drew is done for now. But I feel it will vanish.
