Lol.  I don't think Avery has appeared this year.  She should be SORAS'd shortly.

Donna is such a cute little bug.  I just love that girl.  And, yeah, I 100% agree she should not exist or that Sonny should have a child younger than his grandkids.  But she's so cute and doesn't say "Papa" all the time or try to sing so she's a cut above Violet and Charlotte, which is just faint praise.

I luckily missed all of Violet’s singing and they quickly sent Papa Charlotte up to the attic once I got exposed to her and now there’s a much better actress in her place.

You are a lucky human because you missed Violet's self-written songs.  I wish that little girl the best and she is talented, but OMG was she the most annoying person on the show.

Not important or relevant, but Gladys was the most obnoxious character to exist.  Every scene was nails on chalkboard to me.  But then I met Violet.

I have no idea who Gladys is so I think it’s safe to say I dodged a bullet 😂

I'll be the contrarian here and say that, so far, I'm fine with the fact that Maxie is sidelined for Nathan's return. If she were in Port Charles, then the story would have to center around her feelings that her husband is back from the dead. Which is fine, but--because soaps have done so many of these back-from-the-dead stories--is not as dramatically compelling as the beats they've actually been playing out this week, like Nina's reaction, and Felicia's reaction, and little James talking about his father.

I also like the twist that Nathan recalls nothing since his shooting 7 years ago. Ryan Paevey has very limited range, but he played those scenes well. My theory is that they'll play this out into a wild gothic horror/sci-fi story where Nathan was implanted with Faison's brain and has been acting as the unseen big bad ("Him") in the Britt/Five Poppies story. I'm guessing that he was in town to menace Britt and leave the box of meds on her bed, but then got into a car crash that somehow took the Faison brain offline and rebooted his Nathan memories. The only question is will the Faison persona somehow come back? That might be so-bad-it's-good, watching Ryan Paevey try to play a Eurotrash supervillain!

Wait a minute! Is Nathan the person who Lulu had the random car crash that started the week and felt so abrupt like I missed an episode with?

If so...UGH. They couldn't even build up the story, could they?

I thought the scenes with Anna, Felicia, and Nina were surprisingly well done—playing into the eerie, almost sci-fi quality of Nathan’s return. Their reactions reminded me of the great French TV show Les Revenants, about a town in which the dead return and try to live their lives normally as if nothing ever happened.

Lol.  She was Mike or Sonny's cousin?  Both?  She was Brando's mom and tried to steal Sasha's money and had her locked in the looney bin.  I had a visceral response to the actress and could not stand her.   Sonny made her leave town after the Sasha fiasco.  She wasn't an important character, but she has to be my most annoying character from the last 10 years and that's saying a lot lol.

Yes.  Hilariously, I thought I missed a scene or episode too when that happened.

I read this and was like Violet…Violet…not ringing any bells. Who? And then the self written songs and it all came back to me. She seemed like a sweet girl, but no. Happy for her to work on her music off the show. Between her and Miss Papa I was beginning to want one of those bus crashes Monty threatened when the show had too many kids.

And the idea of Gladys was good. A seedy relative of Mike’s (preferably his sister), ingratiating herself in the family. Sonny feels guilty about the years of animosity with Mike, then he ends up missing and presumed dead. The missing element would have been Brando should have been a mini Sonny- hungry for power and respect and becomes a thorn in Carly and Jason’s sides while Sonny is gone. And Gladys is a mix between Carmela Sorprano and Tony’s mother. Slick and seemingly warm on the outside like Carmela, mentally unstable and abusive to her son on the inside. But they don’t think this way anymore, they don’t create characters with any longterm goals in mind. It’s pretty clear to me they detail plot the show out in 4 to 6 month chunks, with no real idea who the new characters are on a deeper level.

There has been something off about this week. I agree we should have seen Anna and Felicia react to the passing. Think of the layered scenes and more importantly story crossover with Felicia so worried about Maxie, remembering Monica’s part of the transplant story. And Anna talking about how important Alan and Monica were for Robin and her career at GH. Or Felicia talking with Laura about Monica, and Laura remembering how much Monica looked out for her during her troubled youth and after her sexual assault. All of this has clips that still exist!

Because she won't and Frank won't take her off contract.  Which is nice for her and I think Frank is doing her a solid.

She full-out stated she would accept it if they did drop her, but Frank said he'd keep her on.

I agree; it's very... telling when those types of posts are made within the monthly discussion topic. Lemme go find some titties to post.

The idea of Brando/Gladys wasn't bad.  The execution was.  And the actress that played Gladys only had one level and it was smug and unlikeable all the time lol.

Frank should have taken that out lol.

Did Sonny have her killed?

No.  He let her leave town under the condition she would never return.

Hopefully the writers, like with the Luke/ Bill story from 2014/15, will get pissed off that the audience has figured out their story and change it. Because having Nathan turn out to be the bad guy and attempting to act like Faison is such an embarrassingly bad idea.

They should get the original Faison actor back, have him appear on zoom, reveal he's still the big bad guy, and be done with all this crap!
