OK. We're already seeing possible innuendo about Jacob and Kat immediately on the heels of innuendo about Old man Vernon? I'm all for drama but too much of the same thing practically back to back is ridiculous. Does drama not exist in any other form besides swapping bodily fluids by people who shouldn't have or shouldn't?

Allison being a stalker the whole time gives the story an extra layer. She was setting Chelsea up from the start. The dream sequences were an interesting choice and I suspect this episode was crafted to be a possible Emmy submission for drama series (but I'm not sure if reels are submitted for best series).

Dani had a good reason to be upset, but she didn't need to hug Bill more than once. Get off Hayley's husband, Dani.

I find that any episode that has a standalone feel is an attempt to build an Emmy reel. There is more dramatic material they could submit for best series and when I think about it this felt more like bait for the directing team to land a nomination (along with the concert episodes).

I'll be honest that I have felt that Chelsea has gotten the short end of the stick in terms of focus and character development.  Her character has generally been written/presented in relation to other characters like Dani, Bill, and Kat without really showcasing who she is at her core.

When Friday ended, I liked the cliffhanger of Chelsea waking up chained to a bed without us seeing how she ended up there.. but I also felt that the lack of beats played could potentially make viewers not care about what she's going through.

After watching today's episode, I liked that we finally got to see Chelsea's inner thoughts and really kind of showed us who she is.  We learned that Chelsea is adaptable and that trait is what is going to keep her alive and to buy time for the Dupree's to rescue her.

When we first got a view of Allison's man.. and Chelsea going off together.. and I wondered if there would be a stalking and/or some underground sort of trafficking in her future.

So I amend my original view and accept that the snippets and lack of showing the beats of her story in the first six months has made her being taken prisoner by her stalker all the more a surprise... and yet it makes total sense.

Still... I do think the Allison scenes seem almost dream-like.. and there was one brief snippet where Chelsea was wondering why Allison keeps disappearing.  Also... Madison seems very insistent that Allison is the stalker and she did also confess in a bashful/awkward way that she had been following Chelsea for awhile on social media.

So I am wondering if there will be another shoe ready to drop or not because the way Madison was acting made me think she's trying to push off suspicion off herself.  Just based on how the actress was playing it today.

I like Sean but he's too young. He's a better fit for his younger brother or even son. IMO Dante should be someone at least in his early 70s and looks older than Anita and same age as Vernon

Some names I'm throwing out there: Nathan Purdee, Darnell Williams

If they do cast Dante, they should hire Joe Morton.  He has film, television, and Broadway experience.  He was Eli Pope, Olivia Pope’s father in Scandal.  On daytime TV, he’s had roles on Search for Tomorrow and All My Children. On Another World, he played twins Dr. Abel Marsh and singer Leo Mars.  He is capable of singing well.  In the DC Universe, he played Dr. Silas Stone, father of Victor Stone/Cyborg in the movies Batman vs Superman and Justice League.

-- This episode did have some old school soap vibes, but the pacing -- the lack of buildup, the lack of beats played -- was way off and hurt the overall impact of the kidnapping.

-- If any other soap handled the plot this way, I think most of us would criticize it, so I'm not going to pretend this was good.

-- Allison was the obvious kidnapper, and yeah, they again went with the obvious.

-- Allison's descent into madness should have been played onscreen. Instead we have to say "This was her plan all along!" Do I have to pretend I've seen it the way Josh Griffith has me pretend on Y&R?

-- Chelsea was chained to the bed, but that metal bed could have been easily pulled so Chelsea could reach that phone.

-- I'm glad Allison and Chelsea are still in full glam even after this kidnapping ordeal.

-- Allison told Chelsea "I'm not going to unalive you." No one talks this way. Is the word "kill" censored?

-- Anita said "No one takes a Dupree!" Honey, a Dupree was already taken.

-- They were able to have Chelsea declared a missing person an hour after she was taken. Then the FBI was called in. Still, we needed THE FIXER to show up and declare that all the gloves are off. OK then.

-- I understand not showing us the launch party, but how about some crowd sound effects that make us know some big event is happening? A little activity outside the doors?

-- The fashion was great. Everyone looked outstanding, and the performances were solid. I have a lot of problems with this episode, but I'm not blaming the cast for any of this.

The story shifting from what we assumed was a cookie cutter tale based off of Fatal Attraction to a story about dangers of posting your whole life on social media is an interesting shift, and I’m looking forward to see how this impacts Chelsea after she is rescued.

Well so much for a realistic soap (I know, that was never the goal..)

I liked the IDEA that they would have Chelsea deal with her daydreams while imprissoned, but wish that was also seen on screen.

I HATE these storylines and this is basically why I gave up on Bradley Bell.

And I think  it's counter productive with young people.  Haven't they all seen Misery?  (Which other soaps have imitated, MUCH better.)
