Kat is very unlikable. I don't like all this "illegitimate" stuff. It's off-putting to constantly put Eva down about who her father is. The character is technically in the right but she's so ugh and nasty. And they can tone it down with the whole "Your mother..." lines. We know where that is going.

I screamed and laughed when Nicole lunged at Leslie. She had that coming. It should be Nicole having the affair to get her groove back. Dani is hopeless and less is more with her. Same with CM and Pamela. I can't believe this is the same actress who played Dixie and Rosanna, characters I loved.

I wondered the same thing and assumed that this Dr. Perkins must be somehow involved in the baby mess with Hayley. Either she is being paid off, bribed, manipulated, or something more sinister and she is in cahoots with Hayley for whatever reason. Otherwise, I don't get it either.

Also, what is Hayley's end goal if the pregnancy is in fact not real. Hayley was supposedly 10 weeks pregnant when she was rushed to the hospital after her argument with Dani. Even if she were to get pregnant for real right now, there is no justifying the timeline...it will be obvious she lied. What is she hoping to do? Is this Dr. Perkins going to get her a baby.

I also agree. It is getting a bit to ugly on Kat's part. Like I totally understand why she is angry, but to mess with you father's practice just to make your sister look bad is a touch extreme when Eva is not to blame for her father's infidelity and sister. She's also a snob and pretentious for someone who is supposed to be "good."

Nicole and Carlton perhaps? I got the impression he was checking for her.

Perhaps Eva took a page from Kat and recorded their conversation. Eva's demeanor was so calm that it seemed like she has something up her sleeve.

I loved when Eva said maybe she should take a page out of her crazy mother’s book. Like Kat thinks these two did some really heinous things and she still continues to talk them recklessly

Yesterday's episode was very dramatic and today's was hilarious! They're continuing to have an amazing week!

I loved seeing Nicole attack sweet and innocent Leslie. The over the top reaction that Leslie had was hilarious and why Trisha Mann Grant is so delightful to watch. She doesn't waste a second she's on screen! The Kat/Eva stuff was also interesting and I love that they're deepening their feud. This should go on for years. They don't always have to be at odds but this is a dynamic you can play long term.

Shanice/Derek/Ashley continues to be the story I didn't know I want but it was amazing again today. Ashley works so much better now that they aren't treating her like a Mary Sue. Let the grey continue to shine on that lady! The scenes with Ashley/Haley were also great. I am curious how this is going to develop over time. I expected Ashley to blurt out that she knows she didn't get an ultrasound but she's keeping that quiet for now. I wonder if when she finally does confront her, someone will overhear (perhaps Leslie?).

The only weak links in this episode were Pamela, who just doesn't work and nuTed who is useless. I'm beyond ready for Carlton to come scoop Nicole up.

I was thinking the same thing.  Her scenes are cringeworthy.  I’m not even sure what type of accent she is trying to speak with.  I wish TPTB would tell her to lose the accent and just use her normal speaking voice.

I guess Cady has been studying at the Michael E. Knight school of over-acting, where annoying accents and exaggerated mannerisms constitute character building.

It definitely supposed to be Transatlantic. That hasn't been used in years and is a unique choice, but this character is a sharp contrast from her other soap characters that I think this is how she is bringing the words off the page. It's her version of being eccentric and campy and I can see how it would annoy some, but it doesn't bother me.

I love Cady but Pamala just doesn't fit which is the biggest issue I have with her. She randomly pops up which doesn't leave much time to develop the character and then you have the weird accent and lack of chemistry with Karla Mosley and I'm out. In addition to that, we already have a character on canvas who fits the role better and that I'd like to see more of, Vanessa. If you told me she'd known Nicole and Dani her whole life I'd believe you.

It suck is because Cady is a great actress but I can't see how I could ever get invested the way she randomly pops up. I wish they'd connected her to somebody to get her more of a reason to exist. Pamela as Smitty's mom would've gone a long way to develop his character who was isolated for so long until they started putting him in scenes with Jacob.

Thank you for posting this. I'd never heard the term "transatlantic accent" before, so I looked it up.  Found several different definitions.
This seems to fit what you're saying?

That's what I was referring to. A lot of actors and actresses used it in old films. It is pretty much all you hear in 1940s movies.

Thank you.  It explains what Cady is trying to do. And yes that instructional vid explains the transatlantic accent well.

I'm really glad to learn this.  She seems to be following the Transatlantic pronunciation rules outlined in the video; but it doesn't seem to flow naturally.

Meryl Streep was able to take on a special accents for films and make it believable. I adore Cady but she's not Meryl.

Cady's accent needs more rehearsal and *consistency* -- if she wants it to sound like this is how Pamela naturally speaks.

I'll have to watch today's episode on Paramount+ tonight. My local news is breaking in to cover Trump's arrival to Kerrville, TX. I live about an hour away. Such a horrible situation that was. I had very close friends there during the floods who thankfully were able to evacuate in time before their home was washed away.

    • So Pam didn't create her? I thought she had the whole of 87-88. I'll look around, thanks for the point in the right direction.

date: Tuesday, November 18, 2025 | Jamey Giddens, Danielle Paige | Steven Williford Samantha, accept the fact you were in the wrong and do not deserve your digital devices. Do not like it? Go upstairs. Read a book. Do some knitting. Bradley and Martin's "we get it" to Tyrell was hilarious and absolutely a parent's thing to do. Loving a bit of history of both the Duprees (via Eva) and the Hawthrones (via Izaiah). So cute. Poor June. I am sure she did not purposefully mean to mess up; we have all been there working in customer service. Shake it off and keep on keeping on! Not twice a week for Vernon's cobbler order... Sharon must be using that as payment for their meetings. I appreciate that Ted still cares about the Duprees despite the end of his marriage to Nicole. Not Dana using Peaches' crisis as a way of taking Ted's attention away from a co-worker. Girl, do not be so obvious. Bradley is a man after my own heart with a simply divine chocolate milkshake. That is the way to go. Dana really needs to dial it back. Money will not buy her everything she wants and she will realise it soon enough. And I doubt Shanice is scared off by her idle threats, either. "With all due respect, Ms Thomas, this isn't a shopping mall." Oh, Dr Wilkes just owned Dana's arrogant ass. I love it. Wigs and personas? Okay now, Shanice ate with that read. I like that June assured Bradley that she will not replace him or Martin in the twins' lives. And that blood does not make a parent. Words never rang more true. Jessica reading Samantha was amazing. Dana would want to involve Ted. Her obsession is crossing beyond dangerous boundaries. Not Dana catching Vernon leaving Sharon's room at the country club. That is not good. Not good at all! Notes: Ugh. Not another breakdown from writer2. This week was going so well. Thankfully, Paige is an outstanding scriptwriter (one of this soap's best), and her words today are excellent. The food at Orphey Gene's does look bomb, so I do not blame any of the characters for uptalking it. I would eat there daily if I could. And gain hundreds of pounds, too. David Lami Friebe (Izaiah) continues to make me sick watching him, but he is nice to listen to. I still really like having June as the central person hub at Orphey Gene's. That familiar face you see when you walk in and have scenes. Dana wanting a second opinion means we could have an incoming doctor, right...?

    • I am sure "no one cares" and it's not a big deal to some people, but this thread is full of certain posters calling out women's ages, their viability to have children at like 35, and their nail polish, but we celebrate everything Chandler Massey does and applaud any male shirtless scenes.  And then posters walk back being like it's just a joke and weren't serious lol.
    • I'm so glad she's still on the show. Seems like she may have dropped a hint about the real source of conflict between her and Dee, too.
    • I don't know how reliable the information is, but from what I've read, he joined GH in 1977, and Alan (who started airing in September 1977) was one of his creations. That should have been enough time to get the show in better shape by the January 1978 episode we saw, but then again, shifting from a 30 minute to a 60 minute format is a big transition, one that requires a lot of filler scenes like Monica having a long flashback to a scene that must have only played out a few weeks earlier.
    • I agree. She said, "I do," and then decided, "I don't." I wish Nikki Abbott had been a longer duration. I wholly prefer Nikki with Jack than I ever have with Victor, and today's episode proved that. And I never minded Ashley with Victor.
    • That one really bothered me. The chemistry was still very much there and then she married Jack and immediately ran off to find Victor. It was such a slap in the face to anyone that was a fan of the pairing.
