Anita got over being sad and guilty like whiplash. I guess she just needed a Vernon pep talk.

Yeah I’m sorry I don’t see the chemistry with nu-Ted and Nicole at all. When Maurice was in the role you could truly feel they loved each other so much and couldn’t keep their hands off each other. I just don’t see this meek at portrayal giving any sort of chemistry.

I hate to say it, but same. I gave the recast a chance, but I don't love the change his acting style has brought to the character.

I agree that Maurice needed to develop his craft, especially with the delivery of the more emotional stuff, but he didn't need to be recast. NuTed feels like a punk and too soft.

Couldn’t have said it better myself.

I wonder how people felt in the 80’s when Drake replaced Wayne as Roman.

Totally different scenario. Wayne chose to leave, the character was killed off. Many months later,John appeared-plastic surgery was mentioned , he had amnesia etc.

It wasn't like Drake was on the day after Wayne left.

I'm still adjusting to Nu Ted .He doesn't have the physicality/presence of Maurice.

And if they weren't happy with the actor nor bringing it, Martin, Derek and Tomas would be out also.

We don't know whether Maurice Johnson chose to leave, if he was let go, etc. We don't know the circumstances concerning the Ted recast. But it's two very different situations of a recast, so the comparison between the two is actually not as valid as one may think. There are plenty other comparisons that would be more fair.

Keith D. Robinson wasn't there on the day after Johnson exited; sure, there was a one-day gap, but it wasn't the next day. And, at that, Johnson was even in the opening credits the day prior to Robinson's debut.

Obviously, any recast that has a significant period of time between one actor's exit and another's entrance is going to be different if it's a same-week/next week/next few days replacement.

When Eva took the helmet and gloves from Leslie's closet, I don't think Eva's motivation was to protect Leslie.

Remember that Leslie warned Eva that if Leslie were found guilty and jailed, then Eva could also be considered guilty as "accessory after the fact", because Eva kept her suspicions quiet for a long time and let Leslie get away with it.

At this point, I think Eva would be sort of relieved if Leslie were caught, but at the same time, Eva would be terrified that Leslie would testify against her.  So I think Eva's motivation for hiding the helmet was for Eva's own self-preservation.

That being said, Eva may have led Leslie to believe that Eva is protecting Leslie.

But after Leslie discovered it was missing and realized that Eva took it, Eva said something to Leslie that indicated that Eva feels that she is now holding some of the cards.

Leslie has become much less like Sheila Carter now. The real Sheila Carter always carried this somewhat threatening and unpredictable vibe about herself, even when she wasn't having one of her meltdowns. Like you knew not to play with her or cross her.

NuTed is still a NO for me I'm sorry to say. I can't believe how much in love and invested I was with OG Ted just to feel absolutely nothing for him now.

I just meant because Drake and Wayne are very different actors at least from the clips that I’ve seen. Even with time between the two actors, it’s still a major role and love interest being recast. So I still stand by my question of I wonder how people in the 80’s felt when Drake took over as Roman.

I defintely agree with Tomas and Derek being recast long before Ted.

Judging from her breaking down at the end I think Anita is still feeling guilt, but she just wasn't there for the other two seemingly not taking their share of the guilt and she definitely was angry at Sharon's attitude.

I didn't see any chemistry between NuTed and Nicole either. It was like Ted was a whole new character. The only interaction that I prefer him is with Andre because he seems to play better off Freeman than Johnson did. I don't mind his interactions with Eva either, but that's because he is playing Ted from the point of just establishing his relationship with Eva and Ambyr Michelle's energy works with Johnson and Robinson.

At this point the options are

1. Leslie is going to be caught out, arrested and jailed. Hit and run, blackmail etc.

2. She gets off due to lack of evidence.

Second option keeps her on the show but how are they going to keep her a viable character?

No one should want to have anything to do with her. If they keep her around, won't other characters come off looking stupid for putting up with her?

I'm interested to see where they go with this character/story and hope not to be disappointed.

Finally some movement on this gambling storyline! Secrets are coming out.

I was thinking the same thing. Finally!

Bill's health story moving along, too.

Tomas is much more interesting with Eva and he comes off a lot more natural with her.

Kat needs some consequences for all her "Sleuthing". Then again, Leslie needs some consequences for her actions too. Maybe put them in a cell together overnight. That could be hilarious. lol
