  • Dana is certifiably insane. Beyond insane. And I oop... Anita is about to pop off on her, and this is where it gets good.
  • Oh God, Deadbeat, stop while you're ahead. You are not one to talk with how you treat your husband and children. Settle.
  • Go on, Nicole. Tell Theodore exactly who his busted ass is.
  • Not Dana comparing herself to those she's compared herself to.
  • Damn, Katherine is really putting Eva beyond the bottom of her shoe with her insults. Savage, but deserved, because she called out Eva the first day. She knew, and not a single person believed her.
  • Oh, Theodore, how dare you try and play yourself on the same level as Nicole; it's completely different.
  • Mama Anita is up to bat, and she's going to come out swinging. And she delivered it to Dana in the way only the matriarch of a family could.
  • Nicole kicking Theodore out "day by day" is everything. She's not taking this anything but day by day.
  • W H E W... Katherine telling Eva she's dead to her. Wow. That's got to cut.
  • Dana locking Eva's ass out and drinking her wine in her robe is the ultimate villain. True villain.

Notes:

  • Anyone trying to sell that Brandon Claybon (Martin) has improved in his acting must be lying, because this is laughable and bad. Next up for recast: the role of Martin Richardson. Omg. It's so damn bad. This man cannot act. At all. He's got to GO!
  • Daphnée Duplaix (Nicole) is showing how much she's been missed from daytime.
  • Ambyr Michelle (Eva) once again gave an award-winning performance in her scenes. Outstanding, standout star!
  • The montage with Tamara Tunie (Anita) singing "Amazing Grace" was a brilliant touch to wrap up the episode, and to allow us the ability of moving on on Thursday.

The way Leslie uses her love shower Eva with and then snatches it away when Eva doesn’t do what she wants is something that should be focused on down the road. 
 

Great end to the episode overall and kudos to the writing and production team for carefully executing all of this.

Yeah, I think that Leslie's speech would have had a bit more of an impact if Ted had been the Dupree's son, with Nicole being the daughter in law they loved like a daughter. But being that he's the son in law, and that Eva (at least not right now) isn't technically a Dupree, it doesn't hold as much weight. They aren't caring much for Ted right now and their feelings could be trickling down to Eva. Though, I do think they have some sympathy for her.

I really enjoyed today's show. Loved a stripped, down hurt but still strong in her resolve Nicole. DD continues to shine and shows why she is IMO the heart of the show. I felt her words, and anger at Ted and how she broke down in Kat's arms at the end. She is just wonderful all the way around.

I also loved the way that Anita read Leslie. She was spot on about her and how mishandled everything with Ted and Eva. And speaking of Leslie...

I immediately thought the same thing once I saw that scene. That what she exhibited was trash behavior. I don't think she's a good mother. In fact, I think she's lousy. Granted, I have missed some episodes, but I haven't really seen her do anything to indicate that she really cares for Eva or her well being. All she's really done is try and manipulate/use Eva for her own agenda since she came to town.

Everything is fraught with confusion. Why is Leslie pleading with the Duprees to accept Eva? She's not biological family so what is this? She's the product of an affair with their in-law so Leslie wants them to accept her?

I'm getting GOOD TIMES vibes of Leslie and Eva minus the physical abuse.

Bravo to every single person responsible for today's episode. From the writer on down to Kraft services. Yall I'm getting emotional but I wish my granny was here to have seen this soap since she was the one to introduce me to this medium.

I also really enjoyed Eva's scenes with Kat today. They have an interesting chemistry. I thought it really did feel a bit like sisters at conflict. Especially with the way that Eva was trying to convince Kat to forgive Ted and them both coming to the conclusion that the man they thought was their father was different wasn't who they really thought he was initially.

And the way that Eva broke down when Kat said that she was dead to her was emotional stuff. I really do think that in spite of their conflict/bickering Eva really would have loved to have gained a sister, along with a brother, father, etc...

Also, I thought it was interesting how Eva kept saying that she loves Ted and Nicole. That and Leslie mentioning that Kat/Eva are almost twins really does make me wonder if Kat may really be her twin and Nicole's as well. I would gladly welcome that outcome, even if it takes a while for it to come out. At this point Leslie doesn't deserve Eva as a daughter as far as I'm concerned.

And I would forward to a storyline where we found out that she's Nicole's second baby girl, and all the complex and ultimately happy feelings that would bring Nicole. Eva/Kat could still have a rivalry, especially if Nicole ended up doing some more bonding with Eva. And then we could get the rest of the family's reaction to that as well.

Not mad at Leslie Locking Eva out, I think it's important for the audience to see her on her own for a while. Curious how scrappy and savvy she becomes on her own.

Yeah, I am with you there. It feels a bit hollow; maybe if she was talking to Martin and Kat I would feel better about it. There must be more to this story.

Daphnee and Ambyr owned this episode. Tugging my heart in every scene. Nicole process hurt and anger much differently than Dani though.

I dont understand the motivation behind it. Eva is her link to Ted and the Duprees and without her, she has nothing. It would have served better for Eva to be all fed up with her and leave the house on her own and Leslie try to make amends bc she needs her for this comeup she's been talking about. Eva can repair her relationship with Ted and maybe build something with the Duprees and cut her out

Great episode but Martin needs to be recast. He hasn't improved. I didn't feel anything for him because of his acting and the writing. He has been so isolated from Ted and Nicole that he doesn't seem like their son, much less family.

Leslie is pure evil. She wants Ted and the house and the riches that go with it. She doesn't care about Eva. I felt really bad for Eva.

IDA. I felt this was his best episode and the actor sold it for me especially bc Martin has been so stoic and not very expressive with his emotions. The actor's weakness actually became a strength here bc I felt he really came alive and I bought his rage towards Leslie and later and later vulnerability he exposed to Smitty. He's growing and while I had reservations at first, I think they should keep him. He's done well with this reveal

      Because you are posting these things like they are true facts.  And they aren't. But whatever, Donna, you will just keep doing you.   Most people actually are trying to talk about GH in this thread.  Not random twitter/facebook/internet rumors you bring here.  I am just wasting my time even responding.

      This is a common theme with long running actors and preposterous storylines. Firstly they may relish the chance to play something different after years as that charcter. Secondly, no matter how dumb the plot it keeps them frontburner and valued to the show and the audience. Thirdly, as VW stated in the end they don't have the power to dictate story and too much complaining can backfire and set them up in a negative light. Not a good position to be in with your employers. So they just buckle up and give it their all or act out the script till it's over.

      Your use of the word "apparently" would need to include a source. Just your use of the word doesn't make it true or valid. Where would you get the idea that something has happened if you hadn't already received an indication from somewhere else, specifically a valid source (including Tabyana herself)? By using the word "apparently," you are implying this was mentioned somewhere, either in a publication or similar.

      I think Hotel would have the similar demos as Dynasty W 19-49 would have been strong. St Elsewhere survived b/c it attracted wealthier/urban viewers and The Equalizer was probably stronger with men and younger viewers. So each had their own niche-good counter-programming. As for Aaron Spelling's influence over ABC in terms of scheduling, I don't know if he would have been happy with Charlie's Angels moving to Sunday, The Colbys scheduled on Thursdays or Matt Houston moved to Fridays. I think he just had to roll with the punches.

      Thank you @Broderick. That information was so helpful. I watched the first episode of the "Mansion of the Damned" storyline. I was extremely confused by Margaret Colin's Paige and her relationship to other characters. Your post helps me understand what's happening. The rest of the show was easy to understand and I'm enjoying it. Hunter's Nola is a good character for me since I know Kim Hunter from other work.  I must have seen clips of Edge of Night before because I remember seeing April.

      You know what is a great way to stop these unclear "rumors"?  Just stop posting them and then back tracking with words like "apparently".   Anyhow, I didn't find the Tracy/Lois scenes as good as I hoped.

      Jason, in thinking this over, I realize that we look at this space, differently. To me it is a potentially collaborative space. Now that I've realized this, what I should have said, "I'm having a problem because what I'm seeing is not matching up with your descriptions. Maybe these files I just got are misdated. Maybe it's something else. I will keep you posted. Meanwhile this episode, its edit, is ready, even though I might have to issue a corrected date later. But, people can enjoy the performances now.
