Not Doug acting like people felt Dani might act during this Ted reveal.

Awww an Andre/Eva scene.

Oooo Silk Press Sheila and her crazy woman music.

MMmmmm...multiple cliffhangers!!!! Kat vs Eva. Nicole vs Ted.

Awww hell no!!! Not Silk Press Sheila confronting the Duprees. Anita might eat her alive. lol.

And I was never so glad as to not see them. I was already annoyed at Vanessa/Doug interrupting the action. I actually might have felt a way about seeing them. For once. lol. I do think they were edited out though.

I mean...it's kinda hard NOT to look so

Ooooo I didn't think about that.

The show has finally figured out the correct scene to have at the end of the episode.

The one thing I loved about the show today was that we got a pretty decent length scene of Silk Press Sheila at the celebration without any cutaways.  It reminded me of an old school soap opera scene that would run several moments (i.e. Renee's long speech going after the upstanding citizens of Salem on Days in 1983 before her murder).

I think Anita and Silk Press Sheila would be evenly matched.. she would be the one person that Anita would have to work to get the best of.

I do agree that Derek/Ashley were probably cut from the episode.. and maybe their scenes will be used in a different episode.  The scenes that were included (Bill/Hayley and Vanessa/Doug) had something to do with the scenes going on at the party.

Unpopular opinion:  I actually prefer Bill with Hayley.. .they make a good couple.

It definitely flowed beautifully. So much that I was annoyed when Vanessa/Doug because I wanted to get back to the party. I know it was intentional to build up tension and suspense. It worked. lol. I'm glad it was there in hingsight because it gave us that great conversation between Doug and Vanessa. Foreshadowing? And yesss!!! This episode was sooo old school soap giving beat after beat after beat leading up to the unveiling of Eva as Ted's daughter. And we still have plenty of fallout/aftereffects to work through.

Speaking of...Bill, Bill, Bill lol. Good to have confirmation HE was the scary lawyer.

I'm sure I will have a busy Monday, but I can't wait for it. I don't know what I'm looking forward to more. Probably Anita vs Silk Press Sheila tbh. And yes, I feel they will be matching each other 'blow for blow.'

Yeah... Trisha Mann-Grant totally stole the show today.

Idk if it was intentional or unintentional, but I've had a lot more sympathy for the characters that we were led to believe were the villains on this show, from the very beginning. And with Dana/Leslie, it was no different, especially after today.

And surprisingly, I was impressed by Brandon Claybon too, in that scene where Martin raged at Ted. I wish it had gone on a little longer. And I love how Smitty was there for him too.

I really hope the effects of this play out for a long time. This could have such a ripple effect across the canvas and I hope it does. Ted/Nicole, Dani/Andre, Kat/Tomas/Eva, Martin/Smitty, Bill/Naomi/Chelsea, there are so many possibilities.

And I know this is a nitpick, but why weren't Tyrell and Samantha at their grandparents' anniversary party?

I haven't had 1 free second the past few days, so I'm gonna have to catch up tomorrow. Judging by the amount of people posting here... I'm getting the feeling it's going to be GOOD.

This episode was on fire and definitely the best the show's done so far.  And of course the two big reasons were TMG and Ambyr Michelle who were phenomenal.  This could be both their Emmy reels.  Sad thing is they will probably be in the Supporting category so only one of them will win.

Claybon was pretty good when Martin confronted his dad. I'm glad to see he's improving.  I also liked that scene with Andre with Eva, showing some compassion with his cousin.

Now that the secret is out, Eva and Leslie can start to interact with more of the cast, like at the end of today's episode with Leslie showing up at the Dupree's.  And hopefully that will help the show be not as boring - this storyline was the only one that was truly interesting, and now it gets to branch out.

Minor nitpicks: bad editing during the Eva/Leslie/Ted scene by themselves, and when Bill was rubbing Hayley's feet.  They gotta clean this up.

    • I absolutely loved the last few episodes—devoured them! If Trisha and Ambyr’s performances aren’t Emmy-worthy, I don’t know what is. I wasn’t bothered by the lawyer girl not being at the gala from the start, or the grandkids being absent, or Vanessa being MIA. It just goes to show how unnecessarily huge the Dupree family is. And like Toups said, you can’t cram the entire cast into a single episode. Minor nitpicks: Yeah, Ted seriously needs a recast—been saying that since day one. I still don’t know where he stands, and he just comes off as a generic nice guy. Not having Ted and Bill share a single scene since the show started? Huge missed opportunity. And not having Leslie get anywhere near Bill in one of her wigs? Another big miss. It really weakened the impact of her big reveal about Bill’s involvement. Now it just feels a bit like fan fiction. I’m totally confused by Vanessa and Doug’s “arrangement.” One moment it seems like they’re in an open relationship, and the next Vanessa acts completely shocked when Doug so much as hints at her “distractions.” Huh? Can anyone explain what’s going on there?
    • You’d think he would’ve learned after the way Sprina took off.  I hope we get a proper Emma/Gio/Trina/Kai quad, as friends, romantic rivals, etc. In the few scenes that the four of them have had together, I felt like there was a natural chemistry between all of them, similar to the way that Cam/Spencer/Trina/Joss was, in the beginning.  And, it would be a lot better than all this stuff with Kai’s surgery.
    • Hooray we made the exact same critique to Londonscribe!!!!!
    • I don't think they had any idea who he was this time last year. I think they were keeping their options very open. Same with totally dropping the Trina romance that was spoiled for him in the mags once FV clearly took a shine to him. Frank's priorities are bright and blazing in one color. I do think Gio and Emma seem to have worked out given that she is very dry and sarcastic and he is like a hot golden retriever, but I'd still play the field or explore quads with both with very different people - Emma with a scheming young man (of color), Gio with possibly Trina or someone else, or even a boy. Then maybe put them back together, who knows. But of course none that will happen.

    • He definitely got lost in the shuffle last year. First, they were implying that he was Drew’s son, then he was nothing more than just Violet’s bff

And then they changed him to being Dante and Brook Lynn’s son, which was clunky at first but I’m enjoying the storyline now.
    • GM is adorable, charming and fun onscreen despite months of nothing to do until recently, and has a bodacious bod. I'm not cosigning the show or this story - I haven't watched a full episode in over a month - but I think we're all taking the small victories in 2025 at this point. I'm open to testing this theory!
    • I think Jason might've posted some numbers for the syndication a while ago and the numbers for Falcon Crest was horrible. Like 1.5 rating or something, which was terrible.    ETA: it was actually Paul Raven:   New to syndication 60 min Fall Guy 67 markets 3.1/8 Falcon Crest 110 markets 1.1/5 To get into the top 40, you needed a 4.6/9 rating for reference - and Falcon Crest managed to get into a lot of markets to begin with. In the fall of 1985 Dynasty, Dallas and Knots were syndicated (show / rating / share / coverage % / markets): Dallas 3.4 10 51.7 92 Dynasty 3.4 10 48.7 47  Knots Landing 3.3 10 12.5 20  So, Knots as an example trippled Falcon Crest's rating with 20 markets - I'm sure those were major ones but it just goes to show you how much Falcon Crest bombed in syndication.
