That goes back to the B&B school of dialogue for me. There's still too much exposition and grand pronouncements of the plot and character/social dynamics. Maybe it even goes back to very old school Bill Bell in some way, I don't know. I get why MVJ is employing that at CBS for a portion of that audience, but I cannot wait for the scripts to loosen up more.

I think the product placement already has and is a fun meme for a lot of the online social audience. Which I don't think is a bad thing, frankly. I don't think it's as much of a mark against it as, say, the Wanchai Ferry years.

I gotta tell you, I really don't mind these product placements.  As long as they keep this show on the air, and help keep the budget in tact, I'm perfectly fine with them.   But I have always been a P&G gal -- Crest, Gain, Febreeze, Swiffer, Mr Clean, etc.  

Anyone catch today that the wounded firefighter was named Kirkland.  Is this Kirkland Harrison from Another World all grown up?  It just seems a peculiar name for a random under 5 character….

When I decided I had to protest P&G, it was one of the most difficult things I have ever attempted. Of course this was long before they reduced the number of brands they carry. That didn't happen until beginning in 2002 & ending in 2006.

I would try to look for a replacement for Ivory dishwashing liquid only to be met with 3 or 4 choices but then they too were P&G. I tell you it was maddening. 

I think I watched the wrong episode today. Specifically I now believe I watched the day before today. What does it say that I apparently watched Wednesday two times without realizing? I was so confused because I saw Dani & y'all did not.

And, yes, I tell this tale on myself.

Was today the first day there was no Anita, Vernon, Nicole, or Dani in an episode?

Another lacklustre end to an episode - a hug?? Seriously??  It's been happening a lot lately and it reminds of the Mulcahey/Korte boring era on GH where nothing happens at the end of an episode that makes you want to tune in to the next episode - remember when Jason told Danny he would take him home?? LMAO. 😂

Agree to disagree. If Mulcahey had ever been boring I am sure I would have noticed. IOW, not all of us were bored. No, some of us were fascinated. 

I haven't seen any links to verify, but my TV listings are showing BtG pre-empted April 29 and 30 for soccer coverage.

I know I enjoy the creative ways it pops up on the show. And I really enjoy every time I see a shoutout for it online. And just like the old days, it IS working going by Dragonflies's post yesterday because people are buying the products and bonding over them, too. I love it.

Agreed.

I think the actor playing Martin seems to be reciting the dialogue exactly as written in the script, even if it doesn't fit his natural speech cadence.  Perhaps that is why he often sounds so stilted and unrealistically formal. I think the directors should encourage Clayborn to say the lines using words and phrases that he would naturally use, without changing the intended meaning.  

Now, I realize a professional actor should be able to successfully alter his own speech cadence to fit the lines in the script.  But it's not unusual for inexperienced actors to struggle with this, making their delivery sound artificial.  I'd just let him put the lines into his own words for a while, AND hire him an acting coach.  Otherwise Clayborn might end up getting fired, and I don't believe he deserves to lose his job.
