  • Anita is looking F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S!! A true Queen in her home. We cannot help but L.O.V.E. it. But Luke? Who is Luke? Another son?! Or... someone else? And the Anita Dupree Experience? Sign me up!
  • Michelle Obama (a.k.a. Jacob) is looking good in his role as detective, and again, his chemistry with Naomi is wonderful!! They're connected.
  • Douglas already lying through his gambling teeth? Ooh. The troubles ahead. And here comes trouble in the form of Joey Armstrong.
  • Loving the relationship between Chelsea and Katherine; loving seeing friendship between family members. It's so refreshing.
  • Eva is turning UP the flirt around Tómas, and I am liking it.
  • Joey looking to buy a house, possibly in Fairmont Crest, using his prey's own wife? Oh, that is juicy and dangerous.
  • I am really appreciating the dialogue between Chelsea and Katherine at Orphey Gene's, and it's revealed what business Katherine had: it was for their upcoming purse line. Interesting.
  • I love that we're getting a very topical and always timely storyline this early, re: sexual harassment in the workplace. So great, and it's being handled so well.
  • So, not only do we have Luke (unknown), but we have Elon's wife, Darlene Hawthorne. Quite interesting. Anita, what have you got up your sassy as fück sleeves? And she's getting the sense of the good old days re: her music career. Could this event serve as her comeback, possibly with Darlene joining her as a new Articulette?
  • Anita and Naomi play well off of each other; you can tell there's a real grandmother-granddaughter connection between them.
  • From sugar daddy to sexy daddy, Ms. Vanessa has the pick of men! I'm so jealous of her.
  • Does Douglas work? I feel like he's never at the hospital, and when he's finally there, Randy pulls him away to go gamble money away?
  • Anita is hardheaded, but she's also loving and very wise. Her wisdom is one I appreciate so much. A true family matriarch through and through.
  • The chemistry is boiling between Katherine and Tómas. I am buying them as a potential romantic couple. Just hoping it doesn't blow up in either of their faces.
  • Chelsea practicing her speech to Dani is hilarious, and we all know it won't end well. Good luck! And love seeing the friendship between Chelsea and Jacob. It's sweet.
  • Oh shït. So Elon knows about Marcel more than he let on; what's going on here? Oh, I am so intrigrued right now!
  • We love a supportive cousin/friend, who isn't pressuring you into making decisions you're not ready to make. What a refreshing point of view.
  • Marcel is a dirty cop! I knew it! It just felt like he was dirty, but is Elon dirty in the same way? I wonder....
  • We love name-dropping on a soap! Anita has got it; honestly, her rap is classier than anything Cardi B or Megan Thee Stallion could ever come up with. I love it. A natural interaction. It just feels right. Loving it.

    • I usually don't want Tide placement in the middle of an intense sad scene, but this is an interesting point

    • My own personal ranking of this year's contestants: Greece Luxembourg Latvia France Sweden Italy Switzerland Spain Albania Iceland Austria Israel Estonia United Kingdom The Netherlands Denmark Germany Armenia Norway The Ukraine San Marino Poland Finland Lithuania Portugal Malta
    • BTG joke immediately followed by an AMC joke (same context)
    • Thanks!   Was anyone watching during this time? Wondering how Peggy’s rape played out onscreen. It just seems cruel to subject the Brooks family to this trauma a 2nd time.   Feels like the writers have already given up on the character of Jennifer, even though she sticks around another year-plus. She should be a passionate and fierce protective mother, but instead she seems just reactionary (and not even mentioned in this recap) This was also the case in ‘73 when Chris was raped. The writers are definitely more invested Stuart as the Brooks parent.
    • BTG got another SNL reference at 00:50  CONTEXT (so it isn't misconstrued) in this joke swap segment, Michael Che frequently makes his white cohost Colin Jost read racist jokes written by Che.

    • It's obvious that Israel's presence is a major divisive issue, and this is something that the EBU needs to deal with. According to the now published results Israel got 13 out of a possible 19 max points in the semi-final, and while their song isn't bad there's no way they would get those numbers without some kind of manipulation/political voting. They are clearly using this contest as a way of improving their somewhat tarnished reputation. I know that some people are comparing this to the massive sympathy votes that Ukraine gets and which propelled them to victory in 2022, but I feel that that was a more genuine show of support than this concerted effort from Israel to influence the televoting. I even had an ad on Youtube from Israel in Swedish(!) asking for votes! It might not be against any rules, but it feels a bit icky nonetheless.
    • Yeah, as you wrote, an Israeli win would have been a political disaster. Congratulations to Austria. 0 points from the televoting to Switzerland was a disgrace. Other than that, I really enjoyed the show ... but I'm also glad that Eurovision season is over

    • Hahaha Sorry if I was too negative, I just started typing and typing once I got going hahaha
    • @dc11786 Thanks for taking time to answer my various questions, along with giving your thoughts on the different writing teams. I wonder why they didn't just have Ryder and TR leave together if Jane was going anyway. The discussions over the last few pages have made me more interested in watching these episodes than I have been over the years - without the extra details and analyses provided, these years can be difficult to decipher (not helped by how often Jo seems like a side character).
    • I didn't think this was very good (I've never yet seen a good episode of this revival), but you do get a lot of Michael Stroka. And if you are a Donna Reed Show fan, you also get Paul Petersen.
