There was a new promo tonight during Tracker.

As for Friday's show, it should have been Thursday's episode with the awards gala episode on Friday.

 

Jen and Derek are boring. They need to be written out.

 

I'm already getting very annoyed with Dani.

I don't think Ben Gavin, the actor playing Derek, is going anywhere because his most recent story on IG shows him moving his family to GA. (I assume he had been commuting until now.) Of course, cross-country moves don't stop employers from dumping their employees.

Very much so. But I like that several of the characters have nuances to them. Given how Dani has started off and how she shifts, I'm sure this coming mini-week (since there is no Thursday or Friday episode), she will shift again. 

I disagree. The writing and acting has given Dani moments where you root for her. But it has also given moments where you want to shake/slap Dani. It's one step forward, two steps back with her at times and it's quite maddening. But it seems they want Dani to be a gray character. I'm not against it, but I do hope she grows out of it on one hand. On the other hand, it's refreshingly (for modern soaps) human.

No the criticism is warranted. Ignoring the writing the actors are just dull and have no charisma or screen presence

To be honest, I don't expect anybody to be fired. It seems like the cast and crew is very tight and they've talked about things improving and working to give us a better product so I see them giving every actor the biggest chance possible to work in their roles. The earliest I could see them giving up on an actor or character would be towards the end of the year.

I find it more likely they'll add more people if anything.

I agree. They are very dull. The dream scene Derek had was so boring with zero emotion or presence.

They need an acting coach on set. Anybody know if the have one?

I agree. Sheila Ducksworth appears to be a reasonable and supportive leader, at least based on her interviews. She seems like the kind of manager who prioritizes setting people up for success, which is likely a refreshing change from previous daytime executives.

Exactly; she seems very present, approachable, and supportive of what's going on. And it seems like Julie Hanan Carruthers is on that set, too.

Well let's hope his acting improves or he gets a lot of shirtless scenes because the character and actor are a bore.
