Haha I certainly was not referring to you about half a brain cell.  But which of those pairings do you think are viable?

Lol.  I like Lucky/Liz.  When Lucky confronted her about her affair with Nik "Rutting like farm animals" lives rent free in my head.  They might not be the most stable couple but they do still actually have chemistry and Liz loves a toxic guy.  I would also not call you crazy for objecting to the things Lucky said because they were gross.

I don't think I could ever get past that either, even if the show pretends it never happen (or doesn't even remember the scene).

With Jason not as involved in the mob, Jason/Liz could be a more natural pairing these days, but the show's lack of interest in Jake tells you how little interest the show has in the relationship. They still see Jason as a "star" character while Liz is lucky to be there.

The three of them have ascended to some absurdly high plane where almost nothing can register for them - viable stories, love interests, nothing. This is the end result of writing that is too slanted in your favor (and I don't count characters who pay lip service to being anti-Sonny - that's an old shell game going back 30 years).

I wouldn't go along with Jason/Liz for a lot of reasons, among them being I don't want to reward their delusional behavior online but also I just don't think there's anything left there. It's not 2006 anymore. What beats are left to play after how she humiliated herself for him in 2012 and 2015? By contrast I think Lucky and Liz as adults are still genuinely untapped, and I think they did a good job cleaning up some of the ugly stuff from the Guza II era in some of the recent dialogue over the holidays and in January, when I do think they sort of addressed the scene mentioned above.

I've been meaning to mention something. File it under one fan's opinion. I think we have a more harmonious place to hang out when we post about the topic at hand instead of posting about each other.

Now about GH & pairings i am all in for Lucky & Liz. Finally the other day they mutually declared their feelings for one another. I know the show is invested in them because they have paid for modern digitizing of flashbacks & then they have used them to good effect.

Jackly continues BUT that is going to blow up when Carly finds out about Joss being a WSB agent. Or if Brennan really was behind the bomb in Sonny's old place, then, that would also signal the end of Jackly.

For anyone who doesn't know portmanteaus, ship names, smoosh names, if it were me I think I would ask but I can't imagine someone not being able to figure them out. I mean this is not rocket science. And, if your problem is that you are disdainful of them, well the words are right there: your problem.

Also IMO we have recently seen the best acting Steve Burton has ever done. And I celebrate that.

I'm not sure whether I agree but if you are correct then I think I can account for it. Harris had almost no baggage. He was almost a blank slate. All he really carried forward was having been a Navy seal. In comparison Jason Morgan has what we might call a ton of baggage.

I think Sonny/Natalia could've been viable, had Natalia not been introduced as the Latina female Archie Bunker, lol.

I think that between yesterday's episode and today's, Maura West has her Emmy reel sewn up. Iconic scenes where she's standing over Sonny's prostrate body. I just wish they'd gone on a little bit longer, but such is the short-attention-span editing of GH

    • -- Tamara Tunie was good today, but can we hold back on handing out Emmys? I'm not seeing that yet. -- So Anita has Barbara's entire letter committed to memory, yet it took her DECADES to reach out to Tracy and Sharon? Uh....ok. I don't get the impression that THE DUPREES spent a lot of time thinking about the little people. -- We again heard "Articulettes Strong," this time in the letter. Make it stop already. -- I'll wait and see on this "Anita's Sin" story. My bottom line is that it's unfair to point blame when someone takes his/her own life. -- I thought Tomas looked fine af in that suit today, and that the fit was perfect. -- Why is Basic Ashley kissing her boyfriend while at work in the hospital? I find that inappropriate and ridiculous. Ashley still doesn't act like someone in love. -- The 3-way conversation among Ashley, Derek, and Andre was awkward as hell. -- Hayley was embarrassing for taking her pregnancy test to Dani's. Dani is embarrassing to harp on it. These two need to stay away from each other. -- Dani treats Andre like crap. What he sees in her beyond the physical, I have no idea. No way is either of these two in love. -- Also clueless? Bill and Hayley for thinking Naomi would love hearing about the pregnancy.
    • Susan Lucci was on bereavement vacation because her on screen mom had recently passed away so she was off canvas when this tornado occurred.
    • Thanks @YRfan23 Wow I didn’t realize the cast has gotten that tiny either which is absolutely pitiful.    Surprised that Budig is still on as Taylor barely watched any lol tbh but nonr of the recent daily recaps ever mention her anymore I figured she was out the door soon.
    • I love the yellow bumpers with the crew lol. That's Donna Lewis as the music at the beginning! I haven't heard her in ages. R.J. and Tea were so hot and so underrated. I remember seeing the bit with the Buchanan men promising to show Max a good time in his bedroom and it's still hysterical.
    • I think a lot would've gotten over it the same way they got over the Trina recast, especially since it became swiftly clear NAC is never coming back. The key issue, we agree, is Frank. As long as Trina is onscreen he's not touching that. As for Nikolas, honestly I'd kill him off. Adam Huss has done a wonderful job in a very difficult situation but I don't think he has leading man power for a soap opera (not because he's gay, but he's very intense and I don't think it translates to potential lighter or romantic material; his flirting with Ava briefly was strange) and I was holding out for Tyler to recover and return someday. I am not interested in Nikolas #5 or 6.
    • AlwaysAMC - Your posts are a crack up; they make me laugh.  Thanks.  I especially like how detailed you get enthused about something, and how you curtly and flippantly you reject that which you find subpar.  LOL.   What's great about Annie is her increasing rooting value as time goes on.   I often wanted Annie to be victorious.  Watros infuses her with an energy and a vulnerability that really works, even at times when neither should. Soap viewers often remember and talk about the Big Moments, which is fine, but what I also find really interesting is the 1-2 week time frame that follows the Big Moment.  Later, there are scenes between Annie and Rick involving a trip to the hospital (no way am I telling you why and what happens - hopefully no one does) that I think are as well done as the Big Moment.  Astonishing stuff. Oh..and to reiterate...I ain't telling you sh*t.  You'll just have to suffer!  Ain't anticipation grand?  LOL.
    • @alwaysAMC Glad you made it to the soft rock theme. I share your disgust for the Gilly story, as many viewers did. Gilly was never a big character, but she was a part of why the early '90s feel real and different for GL, and she deserved a much better exit. This was also the last worthwhile role Amelia Marshall had on daytime (I don't even know if Passions fans would disagree). This was also Petronia Paley's only major chance at story and as someone who always appreciated her work, I'm sorry it did not go better for her. And I liked Charles Ewing a great deal on Loving, so I was even more unhappy with how they treated Griffin. It's a deeply offensive role, in many ways.  As for slapping, you may enjoy this, if you are able to find anything onscreen underneath all the ham. It really goes into hysteria in the second clip. As a bonus, you also get a quick glimpse of why the Billy and Mindy recasts were not accepted by viewers. One positive I will say about this clip is that it's one of the few times I remember the show making clear that Roger was able to defend himself if he had to do so.

    • ER Season 15 (first-ish time) BUFFY Season 3 (First time)
    • Probably less than a NBC or ABC soap. There were occasionally slaps. Women slapped men. And parents occasionally slapped their children. There was a period when Mindy and Roxie would fight. But slaps between women were few and far between. The only one between women I can really recall is Vanessa slapping Nadine. There was once where Bea Reardon almost slapped Vanessa, but she didn't. There are probably more, but in general, I always thought CBS soaps (aside from B&B, which used to love Stephanie slapping Brooke) shied away slapping, sort of the way they limited "hell"s and "damn"s to so many per week.

My favorite moments are with Erika and then Robin and Tim Stickney around 7/8 minutes. There are also little yellow bumper moments with the crew, which I enjoy more than the real ones.  There's also a music video at the end to I Will Survive, with Linda Dano and JFP having a cameo (they certainly do know how to survive). Also a fun bit with a frazzled crew member showing cards with the names of every EP she presumably worked for at the show (or maybe just every EP, period).
