I still wish I knew what his plans would have been. I can't say any that happened were great to me, beyond the increased emphasis on character and the longer scenes, but we'll never know.

I think the most we know about was Willow/Drew/Nina, which was (in its original form) enough for me. It's still the only really engaging story on the show.

That definitely had potential, mainly thanks to Cynthia Watros.

Sorry, I know this is veering off topic...

I think he was also committed to the show and characters reexamining Sonny (despite some of the clumsy execution), but we saw what happened there. And I think his occasional use of Trina and the Black cast indicated an interest, given his own BTS history and that Tabyana had probably her best scenes all of last year in one of his first weeks at Spencer's grave (and then very little after). But really, I think his run was strangled in its crib very deliberately. It's too bad.

I'm still pissed at PM being shoved out. It seemed like he had plans and was willing/hoping to shake things up.

But no, can't have that. So, GH is forever bland oatmeal.

Bland oatmeal is right. I see what people were talking about with the quick cuts as I'm playing catch up. And...ugh.

LW was very hot with Sean Blakemore.

That's exactly why I would pursue a romance between Carly and an African-American male, because LW plays very well with POC; and I would have wanted to explore how those around them feel about the romance, because, even though it's 2025, people still have very mixed opinions about interracial relationships.

I feel like that was Patrick Mulcahey's plan, or a large part of it: not to make any sweeping changes, but just to slow everything down enough to where we know WHY characters are doing what they're doing, and not just rushing from one plot point to another.  Because, sometimes, that's really all it takes.

But, like you said, we'll never know (until someone tracks him down and makes him talk, lol).

IIRC, Eden McCoy did state (in terms of relationships) he was shaking everything up a bit. So, I do think he wanted to take the canvas he was [unfortunately] given and see what he could do before he really made the changes we'd need to see. But just did not get that chance, ultimately.

Taste. But yeah...especially right now and because even though times have changed, but feelings on interracial relationships has not. Well, not completely. And LW would play it well.
