For sure, I would kill off Drew.  Willow either doesn't remember killing Drew, or she DOES remember and is wracked with guilt about it.  Either way, Nina elects to take the rap in order to protect her daughter.  She spends some time in jail, where she's reunited with Madeline.

I'd need to sit down and figure out how to make it all work, but I'd have Ric serve as Nina's attorney throughout this process, thereby laying the groundwork for an eventual Ric/Nina union.

Eventually, the truth would come out, Nina would be released and Willow would be shipped off to prison.  Nina would be devastated, of course, but Ric would be there for her, especially after they receive word that Willow was killed after several inmates attacked her.

Really??

See, I tuned out of GH at some point, so I don't know everything that went down.  So, Ric/Rick Hearst has been on the show at the same time as Nina.  Was he with Cynthia Watros' Nina, or with Michelle Stafford's?  (And it's weird how I thought to pair Ric and Nina with no idea at all about their prior history, lol).

This is when we need to throw up the bat signal to Vanessa Marcil.  Brenda easily could sweep back in, toss Natalia out on her bigoted ass and help Sonny through his medical crisis (while still exchanging verbal barbs with Carly).

I don't remember them being together either, but apparently they were married (later annulled) in 2015.  It was Stafford's Nina and Ric wanted her fortune.  At least that's what the internet tells me.  It does sound vaguely familiar to me.  I am notorious for mixing up almost all of Nina's backstory though.

Obviously, bringing back Brenda would be the better solution.  I am just resigned to it not happening.  Nina seems like the only real option currently on the show for Sonny and that's still a reach for me.

It was about five minutes, with Stafford right before Ron was fired. They barely knew each other but he conned her into quickie marriage as part of the live week stunt mandated by the network (as in, they wanted a wedding). He scammed her and Franco saved her. No need to ever go there again IMO. I love Watros and I think she's done strong work this last year especially but after a certain time I would still write Nina out.

I do need to catch up on the show, since I am apparently back in DC on an open-ended stay as of today lol. My apt is still uh, probably safe, though the new winds, rain of ash and of course fire are getting perilously close to making us an evac zone if nothing else. I don't think the fires will reach my apt because if it did that would mean all of Los Angeles is up for grabs, but it's good I didn't go back to LA just to get evacuated out of caution. I got pretty lucky in that most of my absolutely essential documentation and electronics are with me due to some Christmas week travel before I settled down here with family.

I feel pretty guilty enjoying being back east again after years of disdaining the city; it does have a lot going for it when you dig deeper, and people I know have lost everything. And to bring this back to topic I feel for Cameron Mathison and others, and really hope everyone at GH is as safe as they can be.

No, no, no. You are not alone on that. When he returned this time around, he reminded the audience, too, and I realized I forgot, too. But...yeah. I tuned out near the beginning of MS's turn as Nina as well which was when Ric first got with her. CW still plays the dislike though which is a nice touch.

It did. If I'm not mistaken...it was during the LIVE week, too, in terms of them getting married, but I could be wrong.

I'm still disappointed that we didn't hear anything about VM at the event she did with Rena & the event she did with Mo.

Listen, apparently GH was dark both Th & Fri because of the fires. I did not hear this myself but some fans who were at Steve Burton's Patreon said that he said openly that Wed. they sent everyone home, not to return till Monday. This was in a GH group chat that they talked about it. Of course, it's also not a surprise.

    • Garneau was in the Liberal party and his riding was in Montreal. He was the first Canadian in outer space.
    • I agree. I really have enjoyed this story from the beginning. I feel like it needed the time for us to care about Doug. They've done a nice job of explaining his motives and making me care for him. I still feel like he's doomed and Vanessa will end up being a widow and now I'm invested in that *not* happening now that I've fallen for him. Friday was good but so was the entire week. I think they're doing such a nice job of keeping things moving. We got good movement with Bill's story this week, Chelsea is attempting to date, Andre and Dani are having tough conversations about their relationship, of course Anita reunited with Sharon. There is *so* much going on and I didn't even cover all of it.  I wish all of the soaps would take a page out of BTG book and start rotating their stories. I love that everybody is getting a chance to shine and they don't just sit on one lead story to the point you get sick of it.
    • Did Jordan Clarke have a departure sometime between 1985 and 1989? I know Robert Newman had three runs: 1981-1984, 1986-1991, 1993-end.
    • Well, they usually weren't on the show at the time for long until the late 90's. But yeah, they really deserved a story centered on them, and not through the lens of Reva.
    • Chelsea was doing the absolute most today! Why was she introducing her sister to a woman she doesnt know? That whole scene was embarrassing. Madison needs to stay away from her bc she is too immature
    • Gosh, what a waste with Lunacy. Why have her live with $B, reveal Finn, pardon her, etc What makes this story incredibly hollow is that what Luna is asking isn't unreasonable - to spend time with her cousin father. She's not asking to move in with them. How hard with it be for Finn to throw her a bone by, say, I'll meet you for lunch/coffee once at week at the hospital cafeteria. Lunacy isn't going to hurt Finn. In fact, all her crimes were related to finding her father and it turns out to be someone she's loved her entire life. Instead of course-correcting the nonsense of last summer, Brad somehow found a way to make this worse! That's a skill... Of all the younger actors B&B has cast during the past 5 years, LY has shown the most growth and range. Why get rid of her?
    • On the subject of sets (seems more interesting to discuss than the actual show)  Some sets we don't see anymore Lauren/Michael apartment (haven't seen that in years) Victoria's house (are Marian/Tessa living there?) Apartment above Crimson Lights (I think Chelsea was the last resident) Penthouse (Lily's home) Chancellor Estate (Devon/Abby) Chancellor office (once Dark Horse) Nick's house GCAC room (used as residence/hotel room for several characters) Some of these may pop up again. The tack house, for example, was not seen for many months before being used again. Have I missed anything?
    • Thanks for searching through everything. Worked on them so long, just too lazy to check for those links myself, so I am glad you chose to do it! I guess I never did type out anything for 1973-1977 in regards to the preemptions, but they are on the charts at least (and this far back, they don't seem to do any of those "breakouts" anymore, so things are simpler in the 1970's, so eventually I could type those out).
    • I dump on the Y&R sets problem all the time, but BOLD is no better -- and they're not even introducing new sets. All of their sets are years old, and very few look like they're inhabited by people with money. Is that going to change with this move? I'd rather they save the money spent on another remote, which is no better than an HGTV travelogue, and get some new/better sets.
    • The donut posts here make up for a Friday show that was barely meh. Aside from seeing Anna, I really didn't care much about anything else. While I understand the thought behind breaking up all the sadness with "other scenes," I'd rather they moved right to John's funeral. Instead of hearing a stupid story about John changing some minor character's tire 20 years ago, just move on to the crying. I also thought the Chad and Cat scenes were a waste. I realize not everyone is devastated by John's death to the point of not functioning, but going sky diving is a choice. By the way, Jack and Jennifer are giving me nothing on this return. Please leave asap. DAYS did such a great job with John's death, so ending the week this way was a letdown.
