Friday 11/15

A solid week ends on a high note.

High points include unhinged Sharon’s confessions to Nick, Jack and Diane’s confession to Kyle, and Audra catching the bouquet.

The one low point has got to be the ramblings of Billy vowing revenge blah blah blah. Old news.

Couple random musings:

-I spied a picture of Robert Adamson’s Noah on the fireplace mantle in Sharon’s cabin so I guess Rory Gibson’s mopey Noah has been permanently erased lol?

-Sally, despite designing Abby’s dress mentioned she chose not to attend the wedding so she could avoid running into Adam, but Adam didn’t even attend either unless I missed him the background…In fact I thought it was sad Adam didn’t attend Heather’s funeral last week .

Six good episodes in a row, let’s hope the streak continues into next week.

@BetterForgotten LOL Thanks for the laugh!

They have looked incredible. I have dipped back into the show to see these episode and Jess Walton's return. She has been typically excellent. Though I don't love the weakening of Jill, it is the most sensible route to give motivation for her to sell Chancellor to Victor.

The Sharon story has interested me, though I wish Sharon Case didn't do all the Botox and fillers to her face - she literally cannot emote and her face is unnaturally rounded out.

I noticed the lighting changes right away at Society - that set was overly brightly lit in the past. The Newman ranch set is beautiful. Proof that the show can deliver an attractive program and that they've been incredibly lazy and poorly lead for years.

AGREED! Man SW was selling that Gown like nobody's business! She looked So Amazing!

I loved that the "Happy Couple" couldn't refute the shade either!

Production has overall gotten so much better and I'm Surprised they managed to bring such good solid Episodes all in a row!

I beg to differ on the pic on Sharon's mantle. It's still Rory's Noah up there. I've been paying close attention and they've been showing Rory's photo for the past few months. It's still him.

I thought Billy had asked Sally to be his date for the wedding, but I guess not. And you're right, Adam wasn't even there. Billy even mentioned Adam's absence to Sally today. No explanation whatsoever. Not even, "Connor needed me".

What a week.  On one hand, we had a gorgeous wedding at the rebuilt Newman Ranch. In contrast, we had the undoing of Sharon. If that wasn’t enough, Billy gets fired, Phyllis is in a life-threatening car crash and Diane betrays her son to get the best of Victor. To top it off, we add Diabolical Ian Ward and Aunt Jordan.

Has Abby had any recent  scenes with Chance- her last hubby? Something along the lines of her informing Chance she was remarrying and them wishing each other well?

That marriage seems like it never happened.

And what about Aunt Mamie? Why wouldn't she be  there? She was all about family at one point. Or did Mamie get a farewell scene?

Mamie seems to have disappeared without any mention. WTF  At one point they said she had returned to Detroit (I think) for business. Other than that, gone baby, gone.

There were a thousand times more flowers at this wedding than there were people. And they were so worried about getting a venue. LOL smh

I forgot to mention that I liked that sequence in Thursday’s episode of Nikki announcing Devon and Abby as husband and wife with the happy wedding music in the background, and then Victor waking to the door with the music shifting to something more intense.

Griffith’s stories are still mundane and illogical, but at least the show is more aesthetically pleasing than it’s been in a long time. It definitely helps elevate the questionable material.
