IG post dated June 26: He says he just filmed his final scenes. 
EDIT to clarify.  He had just taped his final scenes when he made the video, but he didn't post the video until weeks later near the time of his final airdate.

I feel like throwing a parade now that it’s officially confirmed. I thought this character was awful, and I resented FV for forcing ME on this show several times over.

I guess this is how they’ve freed up some budget to pay for JJ as well. 

I almost titled the thread "GH: Actor exits again" LOL but realized that would be too spoilerish.

I adore ME as a person. I've just never taken to any of his characters except for Caleb on PC. I wish him all the best and hope he lands something else soon. 

Like everyone else, I've been here before and I'll believe he's gone when it's been a year. But yes, I do think he was fired due to the network and to pay for Jonathan.

I think he's actually done a solid job with this storyline (which I am slowly making my way through, stuck in bed with a summer sinus infection), but good riddance.

According to TVLine, his last airdate is tomorrow, June 27th.

I'm about two weeks behind, so that was quick. I was just wondering how long it would take.

I'm still so embittered about that, because it seems clear PM wrote a fair bit of the (pretty good) Gregory farewell and death material and Finn's spiral - lifted right out of Ed Bauer accidentally taking a drink, etc. And to have him gone as Jonathan is returning, oy.
