Heeeeeeyyyyyyyy everyone!!! Miss me much, lol!? I hope everyone's holidays were fun and....happy.

Sadly enough there's not much recent Tracy stuff to talk about. Surprising right. But hopefully 2007 will be an awesome Tracy-filled year. Hey a girl can dream right.

OMG I soooo don't want Stuart Damon to leave. But maybe just maybe it'll give us some amazing Tracy scenes as only JE can do.

*sighs and sings off-key an awesome song I have stuck in my head*

ILTQ, I have no problem with venting. I do have problem with negativity that runs out of control. I have had to leave chats, stop going to boards, and even cut ties with friends on account of intense negativity in the past. There's a line between normal expression and seeing the absolute worst in every situation. This board is very good about it, but there are many boards out there where it's common practice to trash actors, bash characters, flame members, and just cause overall disharmony.

FWIW, I suffer from clinical depression and have a tendency toward negativity. In my case, too much of it can be deadly. For my own peace of mind, I have to be diligent.

I do not presume to tell other people what to feel or what is appropriate when expressing themselves.

But I can and will monitor my own expression, for my health's sake. I will also remove myself from situations that become too negative, because my brain chemistry causes me enough pain without help from others.

Just my two cents.

SID: With Jason's relunctant permission, Sam takes a job with the Qs. Tracy hates her. She's got a strange job with Edward.

Nothing we don't know...

SOW: Tristan Rogers says that with the consultants, he hopes he'll get a story since Y&R is a different soap than GH.

Does that mean we really are getting Jack Smith?!? Jack Smith, who LOVES families and corporate stories? Our girl, of course, fits into both!

ILoveTracyQ, you better come back the minute Tracy returns to our screens. :P

Lainey, I think you totally made that date up. LOL! Luke's back at the end of January, and February is going to be one day in GH Land. Each episode is going to be one actual hour in real life time. There's an interview somewhere of TG suggesting that soaps go the "24" route. Or something along those lines. Anyway, I just found it today, and SoapDish is speculating that it might have been TG's idea and that he will behind the scenes for most of this. That doesn't mean we can't see Tracy though. She'll be on the outside. She HAS to be. :D

First off, I haven't been on for a while, so I hope everyone had a great holiday... or just a great few days if you don't celebrate anything. I've been sick, so I haven't been able to get on, but I had a great Christmas (surprising, since this holiday, while we all love it, is notoriously and traditionally bad at my house).

Now, am I the only one that this site isn't working for??? I get as far as all the last step and then i keep getting no search results. I've tried putting in a lot of different things in the search, but I get nothing. Please let me know if you know what I'm doing wrong or if anyone has had the same problem.

OMG. GH is doing a "24" series for Feb sweeps? *thinking back to thehideous green animal that died around Tracy's neck during the Monkey Fever storyline*

Please Please Please, Tawny Madison. If we're going to see Tracy in the same outfit for 24 episodes, PLEASE make it a sexy one! Or at least a flattering one? PLEASE?

*waves to Lainey*

knh, I tried the site and am not having problems. Did you follow these directions?

Hope you get it to work! And I hope you feel better soon.

About the 24 hour/Wardrobe thing...I doubt Tracy will be on for 24 episodes in a row, although it's a nice thought. :) As for the actual outfit, Dead!Animal Sweater is her "disaster gear." She wore it for the train wreck AND the virus SL, so she might just wear it again for the hostage situation. ;) And if she does, I seriously will be laughing out loud. LOL.

Crack me the fohrk up, MsQ. I never even thought of it that way. Didn't she also wear it the day Bobbie threatened to b*tchslap her all the way to the Canadian border? Or was the GREY dead animal choking her on that day?

I didn't think she'd be on for 24 days in a row (gawd, I hate the "24" premise SOOOO much--what a gimmick), just that she'd be wearing the same outfit everytime she showed up during that month. And with Tawny Madison dressing them, it'll probably jungle prints and a babushka. Or an oriental print mou-mou with black slacks underneath.

OH PLEASE let her come over from a business meeting at ELQ wearing her Olive!Suit!!!!!! I've been very good this year, Santa, and I won't ask for anything else ALL YEAR LONG....

ETA: I am so making a liar of myself.

Santa, cover your ears.

MsQ, is there anyway (pretty pretty please) that you could make a 100x100 LJ sized version of your new avatar? Or could I just steal it at the current size? I'm so madly fracking in love with it. Puh-lease?

Santa, you can listen again. I was serious about that black business suit with the yummy skirt. SERIOUS, dude. And I've been very good.

GH only gets TG a few months out of the year, and people actually tune in to see him. NO WAY they'll let him disappear behind the camera during the time he's actually working. NO WAY! He may do some directing type stuff, but it would be in addition to the on screen stuff. I AM CERTAIN!

Ha! 20 bucks says it's that black and white jacket she wears every third appearance. You know, the one she was wearing on the Christmas episode (I also think it's the one she's wearing in your banner, Minerva.)

Oh, Minerva, I just read all your AU emails. THANK YOU!!! How delicious! I am SOOOOO waiting for more. Yummy Yummy Fun!!

Thanks for the help Ms. Q. I don't know what I was doing differently before, but it works now, so thanks.

I have one more question for you all if anyone knows the answer. It's probably a lame question b/c my sister said I can't do it, but I'd like to think she is wrong. I just got my ipod for christmas and I was wondering if and how I can upload the video files that we've put up here and load them onto my ipod. My sis says I can't do it with videos. I can put the songs from my cd's and my wmp onto itunes to load, but I have to buy my videos to be ab;e to use them with my ipod. I realy hope she is wrong or that someone here can tell me how to do it. Thanks so much

MinervaFan, how's this?

Miami_animated.gif

It's 100x75. I wanted to keep it proportional, and I couldn't do that with 100x100.

Lainey, all right. I like your version of what's going to happen better than mine, so I'll take your word. :)

More on Wardrobe: Nah, I don't think it'll be here black/white "Almost Kiss-I miss Luke-Xmas" outfit. And that's not as overused as some of the other ones. Mainly this (which I made a while back)...

TQ_jacket_bmp.jpg

7 times...Plus, the time I forgot to include (it was a Georgie/Dillon/Tracy scene in Kelly's, in my For Good video). So that makes 8. :o Anyway, I. Am. So. Totally. Not. Obsessed. With. Tracy's. Wardrobe. Nope. Nope. Nope. :P

knh, I think you can 'cause someone here did so before when she uploaded three episodes of THE CITY for us. I don't know how though.

~In honor of the upcoming Sam/Tracy scenes~

Tracy : Aren't you petite? No bigger than a china doll and about as intimidating as well.

Sam: Yeah? Well, my fist isn't made of china. Is your face?

Tracy : And belligerent, too. Do you scratch and spit?

Tracy: …I couldn't decipher your handwriting. It leaves a little something to be desired. However, I did get the feeling that you must be a devotee of romance novels. It's the only explanation I could come up with for the flowery sentiment.

Sam (to Jax): …I left the cards and she stole them.

Tracy: I prefer to think of it as safekeeping.

Sam: And she read my letter.

Tracy: Oh, let me summarize. She's sorry she lied and killed your father. She thinks you're amazing in and out of bed and she's never going to forget you. But I don't believe it, do you? I didn't think so. Bye-bye.

Jax: To the power of seduction.

Tracy: And to the tacky little cow who didn't hold out for dinner…I have to admit, I'm impressed.

Jax: Thank you.

Tracy: You have Sam exactly where you want her and I bet she'd jump through hoops to keep you.

Jax: Well, that could get very interesting.

Tracy: Especially when she trips and falls.

(Jax/Sam on a desk…Use your imagination)

Jax: Did the door lock behind you?

Tracy: Unfortunately, for the rest of us, that would be a no. I am impressed with your proficiency. Do you watch a lot of porn?

Jax: You know, it is customary to knock before entering a room.

Tracy: Well, believe me, I do apologize. However, this is your boardroom. It didn't occur to me that you would be making out with -- what is that outfit? Secretary? Call girl? Help me here.

Tracy (to Jax about Sam): ...Little Miss What's-Your-Pleasure lost the cards and the gambling rights to Luke...

Tracy: Why don't you go off in the corner and file your nails until Jax needs your [pause] services.

Tracy: Why are you everywhere and what are you doing here?

Tracy: Why the long face, little pirate? This is your lucky day.

Tracy: I just got your message. You left the hospital to go diving again?

Sam: Oh -- if you're going to tell me I should've waited until I was fully recovered --

Tracy: Not at all. Risk your health all you want. What about the treasure?

Sam: I never got close. I was trying to find my way on to the Courage but that's when the explosion went off and it knocked me out, so I didn't --

Tracy: Well, the night is still young, Sammy.

And that’s about all. Not to depress anyone or anything, but Tracy was on A LOT in late November/December 2003. If I had to guess the average, I’d say 4 days each week. She interacted with the Quartermaines, Sam/Jax, and Dillon/Georgie/Sage. Bits and pieces with Luke and Scott. Storyline might have been crap, but at least she was on. Anyway…I gotta work on being positive. So…YAY! We have Tracy spoilers! Finally! :D

    • Week ending March 5 1978 Second season shows are tested CBS finishes first week in March with stronger than usual 1 9.5, but not enough to beat ABC The prime -time ratings pattern continued to hold steady for the week ended March 5, and attention increasingly turns to second season entries as the networks probe one another's weaknesses or cover their own. As usual, ABC -TV won the week, scoring a 20.5 average rating. But CBS -TV was closer than usual with a 19.5 average garnered with the help of several strong specials and movies in addition to some of its dependable series regulars. NBC followed its habit of plummeting when its "évent "entries failed. In this case it was the miniseries, Loose Change, which scored only 24 and 22 shares on Monday and Tuesday, leaving the network with a 16.9 average rating for the week. Looking at new series and new time slots, ABC's Six Million Dollar Man on Monday (8 -9 p.m. NYT) continued to falter with a 22 share, while What's Happening, in its new slot on Saturday (8 -9 p.m.), also remained shaky with a 23 share. Starsky and Hutch is still healthy with a 38 share in its new slot following Charlie's Angels on Wednesday, and How the West Was Won also had a 38 on Sunday (8 -9 p.m.). Against West CBS's Rhoda and On Our Own came in poorly for the second week in a row of face to face competition, with each pulling 25 shares after a 41 share lead in from 60 Minutes. ABC's special two -hour presentation of the upcoming series tryout, Having Babies, scored a 27 share on Friday (9 -11 p.m.) against strong competition from both the other networks (the movie "Ski Lift to Death" on CBS and Rockford Files and Quincy on NBC). For CBS, its new Monday night leadoffs, Good Times and Baby I'm Back, scored so -so 27 and 28 shares respectively. But the second half of the night had its best performance since the new line -up came in- M *A*S *Hwith a 45, One Day at a Time with a 41 and Lou Grant with a 36. Celebrity Challenge of the Sexes and Shields and Yarnell showed no signs of reviving on Tuesday, with 16 shares each, but the new Tuesday movie slot held up with a 41 share from Clint Eastwood's "Magnum Force." The network's entire Saturday line up continued to limp in, as Bob Newhart Tony Randall, The Jeffersons, Maude and Kojak all scored sub 30 shares (with the exception of Newhart's 29, in fact, all scored sub -25 shares). NBC premiered its new Chuck Barris Rah Rah Show on Tuesday (8 -9 p.m.),when it pulled a 24 share. The second episode of Quark had a 27, three points down from its premiere. There might be the temptation to conclude that the 29 share turned in by the National Love, Sex and Marriage Test on Sunday (9:30 -10 p.m.) proves the appetite for "sophisticated" subject matter is not insatiable after all, except that its competition was not only CBS's strong comedy block but also ABC's rerun of "The Way We Were," which pulled a 35 share. Of NBC's other midseason entries -CPO Sharkey, Black Sheep Squadron, James at 16 and Class of '65 -CPO Sharkey turned in the highest score of the week, a 27.   *NBC were in dire straits at this point relying on movies and specials which could hit or bomb in equal measure.  Fred Silverman had his work cut out for him when he arrived that Summer. He favored sitcoms and series as the schedule's foundation and NBC had no sitcoms to build on and few solid series. He also had a big backlog of specials/mini series that had been committed to air. Also NBC had a long standing relationship with Universal so he was forced to work with that studio. He struggled to get quality producers on board as they were either tied into deals with ABC/CBS or were wary of having their shows on the 3rd rated network. He still felt variety had a place on the schedule however and that lead to duds like Susan Anton, The Big Show and Pink Lady and Jeff.

    • I spent years hoping we would get an oral history like the OLTL book, but it’s too late now with so many having passed away.
    • It’s also strange that it was Monica! I just don’t think of her as the staring off into space type of woman! I watched a bunch of other clips and stuff from random 1978 and 1979 episodes. I’m so used to seeing movement from Monty’s era, especially the early part, that this really is a cool relic. Pretty soon you have scenes start at the new nurses station, the elevators opening and doctors walking to the desk to get their messages from Jessie or Bobbie. People often walk towards doors while taking coats on or off, many Webber house scenes start or end with someone walking up the stairs. This episode is even more static than some of the way earlier ones I have seen, where you would have Steve or Jessie at least going from the old school nurses desk to the medicine room, Steve’s office, etc. That bland dialogue is very much like what they have now. The show picks up a lot of personality. Knowing what we know about David Hamilton and how that really started to get the ball rolling as far as viewers you really see just how vital Lesley and especially Laura were to get things moving for them. They focused on the right characters to get fast results. The show now could learn a thing or two from this.
    • It won't allow me to watch it via the link; I am only able to watch it with the app.
    • Just finished the Goldfinch. Read it in 4-5 days... and it's a huuuuge book. Well... I would rate the first 500 pages a solid 10 out of 10... but then the next 300 were kind of a letdown... so the overall impression is something like - 7/10. It's just very hard to give something a full 10 after reading A little life.  Still... loved it immensely and would probably re-read it in the future. There is a movie adaptation... starring Nicole Kidman... that I haven't seen.
    • I realize I harp on this, but I think he spending is relevant.  She's not just buying new wigs. She's building a mansion, she's funding a sports complex, she's paying for operations for people she doesn't know, she's caring for Peaches, she's buying apartments. We saw ?her get ONE check for ONE million dollars. That's it. I may be wrong, but I thought they said she'd get a payment every 6 months. Regardless, she could not rule the roost on $1M, and the show is not doing a good job there. Pretending that doesn't matter? I can't do that.  All they had to do was add a couple lines about payouts and payments.  In other news, I would love to know just how much Anita was putting into that trust as well as what investment got her what has to be an incredible return.

    • It reminded me of what the Pollocks got away with all the time on THE DOCTORS: long ass flashbacks that don't really add anything to the scene except time.  Because, if you remove the flashback, what's left?  Monica finishes packing Alan's suitcase.  The end. Oh, well.  At least I got to see a young Patricia Elliott (ex-Renee, OLTL) in that Aim toothpaste commercial (not to mention, a shirtless James O'Sullivan (ex-Jeff, AMC; ex-Pete, OLTL; ex-Jerry, SOMERSET) in the commercial for One-a-Day vitamins, lol).
