Rebecca Herbst has 10 episodes in the last two months.  I'm concerned about that.  Does anyone know if she was away from the show?  I hope that's the reason and not because Korte/Mulcahey don't want to write for her.

What’s going on with Brook Kerr, too? Not nearly as egregious as how they’ve hidden a nearly 30-year veteran as RH, but still. Very little Portia. And it’s funny how little T.J. there was even though his few appearances seemed to drive everyone insane (as bad as the writing is for everyone on soaps, daytime has a unique problem writing for black male characters—the writers are beyond disengaged/disinterested).

Spencer is no longer around for Portia to complain about, so there is less for Portia to do.

I think that Elizabeth will get more to do later. She will benefit from the show cutting other characters.

But he still appeared in the noncontract section of the April 26 closing credits without a first name.

My understanding of it is that quite frankly Frank & Korte do not like her, do not want her, feel stuck with her, tried to fire her & had to back off that idea because of fan uproar. But, that is also very old news. It is an explanation for why she has had so much drek written "for her". I mean her stories aren't really about her. She's had stories that were really about Franco, really about Finn, really about her parents, etc. In recent memory the only thing that has really been hers is when they made her Head Nurse, right? I've thought that the reason she is not as engaged as some of the actors is because of her lack of standing with the Head Honchos. She doesn't do Social Media & she doesn't do events. The perception is that she does her job & goes home to her family. And, I'm not criticizing that.

I think like Josh Griffith with Sharon on YR, the new regime at GH don't GAF about Becky or Liz

Several regimes have neglected Liz or demoted her presence on the show. She’s essentially the new Amy Vining now, lol, only Liz has kids.

Yeah, well, when they fired/rehired, wasn't that 2012? 12 years ago! It's not like we can pin this on PM. He certainly inherited it!! And, yeah, @dragonflies people always reach for Sharon on Y&R as the other contemporary example. I will say, though it was odd the other day. In dialog, Liz couldn't be found in the hospital & was said to have been working a double, or a 12 hr shift, but then later someone said she was sick! Good grief.

Frankly at this point the show cannot handle the outcry if they get rid of Liz.

I am supremely confused about Jason. He has two popular romantic interests on the show, and Carly. Yet they are not leaning in to that at all.

This month was very strange.

In their podcast last week Bradford brought up whether Jason loves Carly but then said, "Of course there may be things coming up .." And, Steve interrupted him & said, "There are things coming up & I cannot talk about them." & they moved on to the next subject.
