Leo is way hotter. Hands down. And he can act and he's got a pretty crazy resume... what is going on at DAYS that they're able to afford all these (I would assume?) expensive actors and retain talent like they do (I would have expected Carson Boatman to leave b4 Nicholas Chavez left GH, tbh)? lol

they must have big plans for Tate if they're going all out for his character like this.

thank you. People can be so childishly rude and about other people's looks and they don't even bat an eyelash. smh

Thanks for posting it!

He should've stayed at Days.

I thought as he said he was getting a real major.

A theatre degree in Michigan of all places? I thought he was majoring in business or something greater.

Why?  It's not like he's enrolled at the University of Phoenix or anything.  Besides, if he never came back to daytime, he'd likely make about the same amount of money working ten days on one of those dreadful Lifetime Movie Network flicks (with such crazy titles as "Carpool Nightmare" or "The Wrong Mail Carrier") as he would working an entire month on DAYS, lol.

C'mon, dude. You're really going to criticize him for going into theatre there?  If JMM got the DAYS' job without a degree, a real degree won't hurt him. Majoring in business -- or anything else -- isn't great if that's not what you want to do with your life.

Check out his IG. He clearly comes off as someone who loves the experience of being surrounded by young people his age. I'm not surprised he wants the college life.

One more thing I've hesitated to say. I don't know anything about JMM's sexuality, but on IG, he's much more his real self -- and that real self is someone who is gay. I'm not criticizing -- I'm gay myself. It's just pretty obvious that his onscreen persona eliminates all those more obvious signs.

Aside from that, he comes off as someone who's a good guy, who cares about his friends, and who enjoys life. I give him a lot of credit for leaving a solid TV job to get a degree.

A bit too early in the week for us to critique this barely legal twink's life choices when he's, perhaps, a fraction of our age.

Anyway, if the kid still needs work in a year or two when he finishes his major and his streaming/movie callbacks are sparse GH should go after him for Cameron (or Aiden).

    • Agree with all of this. They use stuff like the redecoration and the party as major events and nothing comes of it. Kyle/Claire is of no interest to me because Kyle has already been deeply in love with Lola and summer so his devotion to Claire is more of the same. And Claire is a character that came from a nonsense rewrite and now is presented as Little Miss Innocent, her dark past swept away. That charm bracelet of Nikki's must weigh a ton. The list of grandchildren seemed endless. The thing is, most of them are offscreen and ignored. Victoria seems like a neglectful parent. Was Dylan mentioned? Another dumb rewrite character. Not only is the show hampered by so many vet charcters, TPTB don't seem interested in venturing into new areas with them. Cole was brought by but there hasn't been any dramatic story that could impact on Victoria? What had he been doing all those years? So many characters w/o stories talking about businesses we never see.
    • I thought it was Sherry Stringfield, but maybe it was before Blake slept with Ross.
    • Thank you for the great background and summary - very helpful!  Yes, very odd they never brought her back, but at least J mentioned her, so not truly forgotten. Ah interesting, I guess I never realized that CBS was a bit more conservative/old-fashioned in a way, at least pre-2000 or so. It's funny, I wrote that about slapping, and then a few episodes later, Vivian storms into the Spaulding mansion and slaps Alan. It's like I spoke it into existence.

    • When written correctly or played correctly the antagonist will often have a sizable following, although this can go too far. It's why having a balance and allowing your heroes to be called out by other characters is so important. Speaking of that, I did not realize Sonni got a lengthy montage when Michelle Forbes left, or that Pam Long was willing to showcase Sonni/Josh so much for her farewell. The care taken reminds me of when Anne Heche left AW a few years later. Given that Sonni was brought in an as interloper, it shows just how much respect the show had for Michelle's talents and how much she captivated viewers in those two years.

Oh I think Holly gives Blake a smack in the mouth. I think it was during Liz's early days as Blake as that is when they become estranged for a good while, although I may be wrong.
    • Billy slapping Mindy is a turning point in '90. And I feel there was a slap between Holly and Blake during the Ross thing.
    • That definitely was her voice.
    • I was going to put this Lisa Brenner interview in the AW thread but I'm not sure she says much about AW in it. I admittedly skipped around a lot as the interviewer's style annoyed me.

    • Today was amazing, for so many reasons. Others have complained certain stories are dragging and others have rightly pointed out, the show only premiered THREE MONTHS AGO! Yes, the caps are dramatic, but I think they seize the moment appropriately. I have watched more than a few soap opera debuts. BTG, is by far, the best, first three months of a show, I have ever seen. MVJ, rightly, found the best in the business to avoid as my pitfalls as they could, to get the show settled quickly. They have found their footing. Is it perfect, no, but is it as close to excellence I've seen this quickly, yes. I loved today's scenes, particularly with Anita. That voice reading the letter, sounded like June

      to me.
    • GH has to be the only soap that still has a courtroom set and I appreciate that as I love courtroom drama on soaps.
