This works. This also reminds me of how primetime soap Knots Landing used to do it especially in its earlier years. Scenes of the show's actual episodes moving across the screen with the characters contained in the scenes. I would love the opening being something similar to either Guiding Light or Knots Landing with a posh jazzy/bluesy tune to go with it.

In terms of the opening, I would prefer something with a strong theme and no actors so you don't have to worry about updates. If they do include actors, I'd like something like Neighbours or Hollyoaks where it's set based and the actors appear in groups. I feel like that would be easy to update as people come in and out.

The headshot openings always fall apart because they can never seen to schedule updates and they always look different as they add new shots.

An opening I loved, that was quickly replaced, was the one for Sunset Beach. The slow music, back and white visuals photos over color beach, it looked like the show was going to be more in line with a Bell show as far as lush visuals. I think it also had a sense of sexy suspense. They did away with it relatively quickly which was a shame for my taste.

That era of GL openings was great, and had so many iconic shots. The candle being blown out, Harley dancing, Kimberly Simm’s Mindy looking in the mirror, Blake with a man kissing her neck, Roger in his tux, etc.

I just want something smart and something that looks more than a Windows Movie Maker opening, which is what I feel the Knots Landing openings were.

Well, the headshot openings [would] work if they used the same videographer/photographer. A lot of times, they don't, which is why something like General Hospital's present opening keeps looking off. They've switched photographers several times.

NGL, I hated this theme. I much preferred the second theme, which felt more soap-like and had more of memorable feel to it.
