The funny part for me as a longtime AMC watcher, was how the scenes went from Anna's home (the former Chandler Mansion set) to the new eatery set. It was a missed opportunity not to use an existing AMC restaurant set since its so clear that the GH crew has access to them. Maybe Krystal's? The Valley Inn?

It would be so funny if Anna could come visit Pine Valley, and catch Lucy/Felicia in their scheme. Only, to get Jack to help them based on their longtime friendship versus their scheming. God, Finola and Walt had so much chemistry together.

I forget if on AMC 2.0, did they explain where Jackson was? I know we had Bianca, Kendall, Miranda, did either of them mention what Uncle Jackson was up to?

Also - Felicia and Lucy are comedic gold. The actresses really found their groove again! I remember when RC did the retread of the the Aztec Jewels they were paired up again, but the chemistry was off. This was 100% 90's fun for me.

Never has a SINGLE player revitalized a show as much as Jane Eliot with this return. She is such a familiar flavor, in the role of Tracy Q. I never quite realized HOW MUCH I missed her. It is also lifting Amanda Setton's game as Brooklyn. I am finally liking her, moreso than the unique  Adrienne Leone who had owned this role in my eyes.

...lastly, can we finally get rid of Maxie. This role is NOT WORKING. I hate to say it, but even Sasha is growing on me in comparison.

@carolineg I agree with you completely about Sonny & the way they are using up his guarantees about half of the time. He's become a Loiterer.

@BrendaB Me either. I was shocked to learn who Ava's bio mother was. But, it sits well.

Anyone how did Lucy & Felicia get caught? Do we not know yet?

One thing I have liked is these impassioned genuine mini-monologues. Anna to Sonny about them being in places in their lives where people sometimes want to kill them. And every decision they make leads them exactly to that place. Then yesterday Tracy temporarily abandoned both snark & sarcasm to entreat NEddie to come home & to fake it until he can make it & let her get him help.

    • I can barely remember who was the person they tested her with for the AMC revival but I *do* remember kinda liking them together (anyone remember better?  lol)  But yes, I feel the same.  It might not help that when I became a regular viewer Tad was presumed dead and she was with Craig...  I do remember that my sister's best friend had been an AMC viewer with her mom and dad and that they were very excited that Tad was returning...
    • Well, that is weird. I do not see him but I only have him on Ignore on 2 accounts.
    • In the preview for the show back in February on Entertainment Tonight, Jeresa the costume designer was specific about each character's economic background, personality, and the character's personal fashion preferences.  Very much about the characters and not the actors. She said Eva is a thrifter, so her normal daily wardrobe would be something from a thrift store, and if BTG buys it new, they intentionally make it look used. So what you said fits about the type of thing a lower income person would buy for a fancy event.
    • As hard as it is for me to imagine anyone but Don Stewart as Mike Bauer...I dunno...maybe someone like "Adam-12"'s Kent McCord?  Or Robert Hogan?
    • Yep I don't hate Javi and then he's macking on Leo and I'm done with him. Leo is a failure who needs to go away   I am bracing myself for Alex reading the manuscript and imagining him and Stephanie as the main characters, because this couple has literally nothing else to do until Joy comes back showing
    • Oh yes. The towel scene though
    • Interesting that Donald May has been mentioned twice. He's on my dreamcast list for Alan. He was somewhat older than Stewart and Bernau, but he could have played either role. An actor I thought about for Mike was Dan Hamilton. He played a role on GL during the 60s, but enough time had passed that it shouldn't have been a problem. He usually played smarmy characters but it would have been cool if they had gone against typecasting.
    • I like Jed Allan, it has to be someone who can play authority but "good" authority to oppose Alan's bad. As mentioned upthread, can you imagine how it would have been with Alan and Mike against each other, with Roger in the mix. But I would have had Roger, ever the opportunist to try to take advantage of their fighting to make his own headway.  Maybe that could have been the storyline, Mike involved with Alex, but the constant fighting with Alan causes a rift (she like Mike fighting Alan when it is to her advantage, but he can be a bit self righteous and I can see him demanding her to disavow Alan publicly..) so that is how Roger lands in her bed, much to the consternation of BOTH Alan and Mike. I would like to have a woman of a certain age being fought over by two men (really three if you count Alan.
    • Please let May have less garbage time. The Y&R threads have shrunken, whereas I can barely keep up with the Beyond the Gates threads.
