I swear this show has no short-term plan for anything, let alone long-term.  Ron and his team are simply making this [!@#$%^&*] up, one illogical line of dialogue at a time.

This show is so painful…. It looks like a bad high school production. The dialogue is cheesy, when you know they are going for camp. The actors seem… tired.

When are we on tap for the next Days reboot? Don’t we deserve a “new plan to save Days” moment?

It took me awhile, but I finally got what Carlivati & Co. are going for.  They're trying to set themselves apart from everything else on TV and streaming, because there's just so much out there vying for people's attention nowadays that "playing it safe" or even going back to basics might risk getting lost in the crowd.  And okay, it ain't exactly the DAYS I grew up with, or the DAYS that once made the cover of Time magazine, but I'll go along with that.  I just wish the show had a HW/EP team there who could do what Carlivati and Alarr are attempting, only with more taste and savvy.

What was with all the classic movie references today? The song “Cool” is stuck in my head now

Tripp is such a great guy I still don’t see why he has so much trouble. He definitely needs a buddy that he can confide in, sort of like how Johnny has Chanel, that why we’d have better understanding as to how he feels. Too bad Joey, Sonny or JJ aren’t on the canvas

And I gotta ask, who picked that hideous wallpaper for Tripp’s apartment? The Seattle apartment in BS2 looked a lot nicer.

Paulina was annoying today and I hope Sloan gets an apology, from a lot of people actually.

I’m still not sure about Xander and Chloe though.

The wallpaper just sucks. Period. They should hire me for their decorative needs. Or my sister-in-law. We both have great taste.

I haven't watched DAYS in over a week. The last time I attempted, Kate was cutting fish. I turned it off as my mom wanted to watch Yellowstone with me as she and my dad are Yellowstone virgins, lol!

Are they still trying with Xander and Chloe? God, make it stop.

The thing for me is that I want to like DAYS. I really do. At this moment, I feel like DAYS feels like Guiding Light when MADD stepped down, got fired or whatever. Yeah, I know. Bad analogy, but whatevs.

I guess I'm in for a ride. But, let me tell you something. If I see ONE port o'potty on this show, I'm done. You got me?

Jada should really be in charge of the Salem PD.  She's so much smarter than Rafe.

So, as a woman myself, I didn't think Xander asking an unemployed woman that's staying rent free to grab some groceries.  That's not sexist.  It makes sense if she agreed to help out with chores.  That's a pretty easy chore.  She can even get them delivered.  Home cooked breakfast every morning is a stretch, but what does Chloe do all day that she can't grab some groceries and run a vacuum through the house lol.  Buy Xander some microwavable breakfast sandwiches or pop tarts Chloe! This whole try at this romance is a fail, but I actually thought Chloe was being out of line and I am sure that's not how I was supposed to take it.

Tripp pecs looked extra perky today. He looks so good shirtless.

Xander and Chloe are a joke.

Xander should be in prison. Somehow he's walking around town free.

The shirt Johnny is wearing is something I'd buy and have in my wardrobe.

And we're suppose to take this soap seriously.

I really don't think we are -- at least not anymore.  Again, I get the intent, but the execution is all wrong.

This show is embarrassing.

All the talk about buicuits.

Any inspiring writers on this board could write Days better than Carlivati. Carlivati has zero talent as a writer. He's in the wrong profession.

    • That's so funny, that's how I listen to Montecito - while walking my dog. I'll have to check out Forever & a Day.
    • I need to listen! Forever & a Day was a fun soapy podcast to have available when I walked the dog.
    • A few years ago, Devon and Nick started a charity organization together, I think it's for housing in the community.
    • I’m hoping to start getting to know Vernon better this month. He’s really only been a bunch of noble and good tropes so far. I don’t want him to be taken down the way Ted has been, but it seems he was a long-running Senator and no matter what party you are, lasting longer than twenty years means you’re looking out for you (and not who you’re supposed to be looking out for) most of all. I want to get to know both Vernon and Anita beyond their Dupree posturing. Clifton Davis can sleepwalk handling the kind of material Christopher Bernau and David Lewis handled and I’d like to see more than just a saint.
    • I thought Emily/Hal was a really interesting pairing. And I think KMH played that version of Emily very well! It might not have been what people wanted from Emily, and the writing got pretty gross at the end, but I thought she embodied that character effectively.
    • Don't know if this exactly fits here, but it is connected: Does this abandoned building look familiar? It is one of those explorer videos - and the outside may look VERY familiar if one watched GH in the '70s and '80s!

    • So, I have been in the hospital all week. I am close to being up to date on my soaps. Now I have to go to the Infusion Ctr daily to get IV antibiotics, for 6 weeks. I am frankly exhausted. A hospital is no place to be when you're sick. Hooked up to machines that go beep beep beep all day & night long. Someone wakes you up every hour on the hour for something, either to stick you with needles or to take your gosh-awful blood pressure for the umpteenth time. So, you don't get any sleep. Now I have a central line, upper right chest. After they "installed" it, I said, I am now Borg. They just stared at me. Apparently scifi is not general knowledge. What happened? I have an infection inside my big toe right foot & it burned the skin on my foot. The burned skin is already better. It was like a bad sunburn. The infection inside the toe is the issue. Oral antibiotics won't even get its attention. So, IV antibiotics plus time.

As Salem bids farewell to John Black on Monday, the "Days" family and fans say a final goodbye to Drake Hogestyn.   From his time as a young man playing baseball in the minor leagues for the New York Yankees to his almost four-decade run as John Black, Drake always did his best. And, while becoming a soap opera icon, he spent almost 40 years at "Days" telling the best stories and taking the younger cast under his wing to make sure they would do their best as well. Thank you, Drake, for the legacy you have left for everyone at "Days." The impact you made on the cast, crew and fans will never be forgotten...and that's a fact.
    • I found an interview with Joseph Breen (Will Jeffries) where he mentions that Reva was put in a coma so Zimmer could go to Hollywood to do a pilot (OMG, if ONLY it had been picked up, LOL) and that Sonni and Josh and Will became a popular with the audience while she was out of commission.  If you want to read the whole thing: https://www.authorsden.com/visit/viewarticle.asp?id=47394 Breen was known for being very candid in interviews, I wish I could find more of them. I seem to recall he made a couple of snarky comments about Zimmer, implying she was not above acting like a diva. Sounded to me like he had a lot of respect for Forbes (who went on to have a very strong and varied career after GL).
    • I was so confused why Devon was prying into Nicks love life and then it clicked and I remembered they’re brother-in-laws. Shows how little I pay attention to this show anymore. I was like uh? Do these two even know each other this well?
