We know Anna and Drew are both twins, but does anyone remember that Holly has a look-alike half sister named Paloma?

I feel like when Jack & Sharon are in scenes, which is a rarity, they do acknowledge it sometimes. I hated that marriage but, looking back, I actually liked Sharon Abbott.

There are the connections to characters that are off screen and forgotten, like DAYS Maggie's connection to Mia (Chad's baby mamma), but those seem unfair to burden a writer to continually reference.

Then, there are the character history facts that get lost like DAYS Chad and Kate.  Kate was best friends with Chad's mother, then served as his step-mother, and they were close, but now that she's dying I don't recall Chad even inquiring about her health. 

Chad also seems to have forgiven Nicole for switching his baby.

GH Brook Lynn and Maxie were college roommates, but they never seem to share any nostalgic memories together, and her romance with Nikolas seems long forgotten

Y&R: Sharon/Christine 

For years, they were good friends, dating back to when Sharon was raped by Matt Clark. However, in recent years, when Christine was attempting to convict Sharon with Phyllis, Nikki, and Victoria for J.T.'s "Murder". They never made mention that Sharon was being convicted by her friend, nor did Christine have any reactions to it.

I'd add Sharon and the Winters too. It has always boggled me Sharon didn't have more of a presence/connection with her best friend, Dru's, kids. She should really be a presence for them now more than ever now that Neil is gone too. Sadly, Sharon is reduced to pouring coffee for everyone. 

In recent years they did have Sharon and Lily converse while she was pouring coffee... though Neil did leave her Drucilla's jewelry when he died. Though I wished they would connect them more. 

Another connection I always wanted on screen but never gotten due to BTS antics is Paul/Nate on Y&R. I wished we would've at least gotten a few scenes of them talking about Nathan and how much he meant to Paul back in the day. 

Apparently Lauren and Diane were friends when both were dating/married to Paul and Andy.  In fact, Lauren in 1986 convinced diane to come back to win Andy back from Faren.

Since Diane's 1996 return, no mention that Lauren and Diane knew one another..even.after Lauren married Michael..and he was friends with Diane.

Nope.  I would say it was completely forgotten, but Ava recently mentioned it in a scene with EJ a few weeks ago.  I have never heard John speak of it.

Y&R is so weird about preserving charachter relationships, after all they had charachters in bubbles with no interactions for years. For a few years characters are friends and then when they return there's absolutely no mention of that. 

You'd have no idea Paul and Lauren were married watching the modern show. Even Paul & Nikki's relationship is referenced more.

Christine & Victor: their flirtation is ancient history given how much she seems to hate him now. Christine hasn't been then same since about 2000. She's far more miserable now.

GH: Has it been refrenced that Monica used to be a confidant of Laura's in recent years?

On GH, is it ever acknowledged or referred to that Laura and Liz are cousins? (Rick Webber adopted Laura, IIRC, and his brother Jeff is Liz's father.)

Also lost to history is the fact that Gail Adamson (Baldwin) adopted Monica.

Lorie Brooks being Liz Foster's niece on Y&R was swept under the rug and forgotten about, as was the fact that Jo and Stu (SFT) were step-siblings (their widowed parents married each other).
