This conversation comes up off & on & there's generally just people who like it & people who don't like it. All about a personal preference. Me, I love it. All the way back to Bill Hayes as Doug singing "The Most Beautiful Girl in the World" to SSH as Julie & all the rest of the singing at Doug's Place, and through Gloria Loring & on. I even have an affinity for the restaurants that had live singing. The Nurses' Ball just makes me Squeee! I even enjoyed it when AW ran a contest for a band to back up Dean Frame. But, I totally get that not everyone feels that way.

Lol.  I get it. Especially when you are just watching the same characters glance across the room or be totally into the singing smiling and clapping and laughing.  

I think I heard Robin Christopher retired from acting, so maybe that's an issue?  I have no idea why they don't bring Lila Rae back.  She would fit right in and should have been Spencer's girlfriend.

Lila Rae is Skye Chandler and Alcazar's daughter.

OH! Thanks. Obviously I had no idea. As far as I know Robin & Matt Crane & kiddos are living well, but I don't have any hard info. I saw a picture of Matt & Robin, just their faces, squished together last week. Loved it! In the same bunch of pix was one of Robin & Linda Dano waving, as if to a crowd. It was lovely.

Why are they forcing TJ and Blando to be buddies?  That’s just unnecessary.

Same for me.  That’s why there’s no way I’m going to be watching that Singing Chase storyline.  It’s so stupid.  I don’t know who on that show is in love with that man’s singing, but they need help.  It’s not that great.

Clearly someone in the writer's room has gotten a crush on Crush. They (and Production) has Chase as shirtless and/or in as little as possible in this block of episodes I've watching. And I am not at all complaining, but it's noticable as heck. Not to mention all the right camera angles too. Cuz that back when the girl offered him a towel was EVERYTHING. Outside of that, I continue to roll my eyes at the REST of his family and the clear shoving of them on viewers.

 

And FINALLY!!!! Sasha has been exposed!!! Publicly. It was sad to see, but I felt it was overdue to be dropped on everyone else. And...GET HER, MS. WU!!!! You know I was here for her gathering Morgan Fairchild. Now her with Lucy though.

I love the internal conflict of Valentin playing both sides of the fence knowing it could endanger his blooming relationship with Anna. 

 

Just because I've seen it but I have not had time to do this: HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA at the idea of Carly losing everything.

 

And sorry, but Cody is a no for me. I like Josh Kelly, but I find Cutter on OLTL had more layers than he does and I am sure they are the same character. And I still feel like his character is going to turn out to be another Holt.

      Thanks. I'm glad we have some fan memories of these years as this is such a typically snide take on the genre. It's also poorly written and reminds me a great deal of the tedious "snark" recaps that became popular in the '90s. The end in particular. The 1979/80 stuff I have seen is much more polished than a number of soaps at the time. It was very easy to watch and not too bogged down in past story.  Margo is played by Ann Williams, who was on what seemed like every soap. I think she said Margo was her favorite role.

      I am wholeheartedly enjoying this show. I just haven't been able to post as much as I used to. But yes, this episode needs to be submitted for the EMMYs and there needs to be wins. I better NOT see Y&R, DAYS, or B&B winning in categories over BTG. I feel like the only show that is giving BTG an ounce of competition this season is GH.

      I think it may be that the character was brought in for a specific purpose and then became popular with viewers, and the show didn't know how to respond.  The choice to pivot away from Simon/India may show that you are right and they didn't care for her...although pairing them up may be another sign they didn't care for her. I don't connect well with this period but it does make me happy seeing some of these characters before the great purge and some of the surprises - I'd forgotten the wonderful Maureen O'Sullivan popped up to be bumped off. So typical of soaps by this point, but it doesn't grate as much as later on when Y&R would bring on any random cast member from Small Wonder. I'm also amazed at this time at just how much money the show must have had. The costumes for the Founder's celebration in summer 1984, or whatever it was, looked gorgeous.

      Which officially started to feel that way today with them hearing each other out as they confronted each other at the same time.    Same. He was even catching himself when he was about to go overboard or do those tics that people don't seem to like. He failed a bit at the end, but he carried. It makes me think about a month back when it was discussed that the actor was better in other things he's been in. And I questioned then if that meant that he was playing Martin more intentionally. I questioned that briefly again today because he was giving.

      I really like the actress who plays Margo. Don't know  her name. I'm so hesitant to google anyone because I don't want to know the length they were on the show. I've watched two episodes and I have to say that the show does not feel as dated as other shows. I tried to watch Ryan's Hope a few weeks back and some of the acting was a bit rough. EON is a lot more natural which amuses me considering it's a mystery/thriller show.
