It was nice to see Diane finally get the upper hand today on Phyllis today. Watching Phyllis completely unravel and shake her breasts in front of Diane was hilarious, it’s probably been the most entertaining Stafford as Phyllis has been in years.

The older Susan Walters gets, the closer her performance as Diane feels to Alex Donnelly’s. Not the unbridled rage part, but the calm knowingness to really see through someone and get under their skin. AD just happened to have it at a much younger age. As good as she could be during her initial run, SW didn’t really have the gravitas for it in her younger years.

Imani finally showed some fire with Amanda. Allie, OTOH, looks ready to be played.

Is it just me or is something about Kyle keeping Ashland away from Harrison just doesn't sit right? I'm not condoning what Ashland has done but until literally a year ago, Ashland was the only father he knew and was raised by and he clearly adores him.

It actually annoys me as well that he’s been completely removed from Harrison’s life by people that have known the kid what? A year?

Phyllis completely losing her marbles just because Diane is back is amazing. She and Jack shouldn’t ever be together anyway given she’s cheated on him I believe at least three times. So anything that ruins this reunion is fine by me.

I’m not sure who made the decision to FINALLY start using Imani regularly, but I fully support it.

Imani is a delight to watch.

Diane drives the story and makes this show watchable.

New Summer has been wonderful so far, it’s refreshing to see a classy mature and warmth yet with an actual edginess to her.

I could see Jack and Diane as becoming friends, but I don’t think the show would actually go there yet. Insane sure, but OOC for Jack? Given this is the same man who married Sharon, Dr. Emily Peterson, and almost married Genevieve in succession after quickie courtships and also had a brief affair with Gloria, it’s actually not at all OOC for him LMAO.

Yeah, given that Jack has a history of juggling two women...Phyllis and that character Cady Mclain play recent past comes to mind...I would not at all see it as OOC for Jack. Especially when (not if) Phyllis snaps on Diane.

But insane...for sure as well.

That was something I noticed as well during the Nikki vs Diane scene I saw. As much as I miss AD, there has been times SW has been channeling her and God bless her for that. I was worried that since it was AD and MW's versions of Diane that really interacted with the Newmans, that that would be lost, but she has been doing great...staying haunted for the most part, but sllooowly and surely bringing out old Diane.

It's not just you. I find it disgusting actually. Lying to your child about a serious illness is despicable. But, Harrison doesn't know the nitty gritty of it. Ashland is his father and always will be because of the emotional bond. Harrison staying with Kyle and Summer for six months in Italy doesn't erase that bond.

I have never been fond of the character and I preferred Richard in the role but I'd much rather watch Ashland fight Kyle in court than bend over to his demands.

And I feel Tara should be mentioned as well. Summer is a parent to Harrison, a stepmother but she's not his mother.

I like how unapologetic Imani is. I find it annoying that Amanda is trying to change her behavior. Imani's an adult. She doesn't want to change and she doesn't have to. Amanda chose to hire her.

I'm very surprised at how much I'm enjoying Diane. There's an elegance and intelligence and strength about her I enjoy. I loved how she responded to Phyllis' PDA.

Interesting to see the show for now seems to be making Phyllis the loose canon while humanizing Ashland. I get the feeling someone continues to do a lot of rewriting.

With Daniel calling does anyone know what the Graz is up to these days? I think I last saw him on All Rise in a guest spot a couple years back.

I like that they aren’t just playing Phyllis as “Lady Boss Bitch,” as they have since MS returned. They are leaning into her insecurities and self-destructive nature.

I can’t with Victoria. I want her off my screen. (By the way, what’s going on with Amelia Heinle and Thad Luckinbill?)

I’ve been very curious about Graz. He was also on S.W.A.T. with Shemar a couple of seasons ago. Daniel should at least pop in regularly.

    • Except she never worked there at all and barely even knew where the Chancellor Industries plant was located  In 1980, Kay attempted to install Derek Thurston (her third husband) in a position at Chancellor Industries.  The show introduced a character named George Packard who'd supposedly been running Chancellor since Phillip's demise in 1975.  (George Packard's storyline in 1980 was attempting to keep Derek Thurston from bankrupting the company.)   We didn't hear much of anything about Chancellor Industries for the next twenty-five years.  Then, at that point, we met Eliot Hampton (?) who'd been running the company for decades and had been embezzling from it.  Jill took it upon her herself to oust Eliot Hampton (?) and take control of the company.  That's when Kay became actively involved in the management of the company.  From 1974 till 2004 Kay Chancellor was strictly a hands-off owner.  It was downright absurd that the last ten years of life, she was written as this formidable businesswoman who'd always been involved in Chancellor Industries.
    • Well, it's going to be something when he finds out the truth.  Agreed.  On that note, I can't until it all comes out. I find Lulu to be ridiculous.
    • I almost posted this because that was my initial reaction too:  this is weird/cringe, to sing around a piano after such a huge family shattering bomb was dropped.  But I got over that and just enjoyed her voice, the song and the montage we saw as everyone's emotions in the aftermath were pouring out.
    • The Equalizer original series was not a big hit yet it became a movie franchise and got a reboot series. The Equalizer reboot lasted 5 seasons, so one season longer than the original series.

His social media/IMDb doesn't have his age but from some posts he's made, I'm guessing 1989 is his birth year.
    • Here's the timeline, as I recall it being published. The WGA strike was 5/2–9/27/2023 Annalynne McCord was announced as being hired in December 2023, for a one-year contract https://deadline.com/2024/06/days-of-our-lives-when-to-expect-annalynne-mccord-peacock-1235975806/ RonC's first scripts back from the strike began airing May 31, 2024 (around Konstantine & Maggie's wedding) https://www.tvinsider.com/1137709/days-of-our-lives-writers-return-15000th-episode-storylines/ Her first air date was June 19th 2024. The actress has said she was not told who she would be playing until she started taping. RonC 's replacements were announced July 2024, with his scripts airing through April 2025 Side note: DAYS social media team seems to be playing fast and loose with BTS videos, in terms of how far in advance they film content (e.g. their April Fools' Joke videos were clearly not filmed on 4/1/25), so we shouldn't assume anyone's current status, versus those who were there nine months ago.
    • April and her husband (Draper) are the "young leads" who tie all the storyline threads together.  They're normally in the center of the action.  In this particular storyline, Draper is the attorney who represents Paige Madison.  (The district attorney, Logan Swift, has given Paige Madison "temporary immunity from prosecution" if she will lead the police to the members of the Tobias Gang who stole the firearms.  But Paige mainly just ducks bullets from various gang members who pop-up to assassinate her.)
    • It's one thing to post about a soap's rumors or gossip, which in point of fact we've all done. It's another to present yourself as the inside source who knows something to be fact that's about to break wide, then backtrack and call it just Twitter speculation. Between those two extreme poles you have to commit to one or the other. If I got something wrong, I'd say it. (Nor would I keep playing insider after what I pulled with Drake Hogestyn, which should've gotten someone permanently banned.) And regardless, you don't open with this 'news' you don't actually want to stand by yet by mocking DRW's extremely valid concerns re: how the Trina character and Tabyana Ali has been marginalized and put out to virtual pasture ever since the day NAC left. Her playing out her current contract in a C-storyline with Kai does not change that.
    • Yeah, I thought it would be more explosive or heated and it was kind of standard.  Both can do more with the material.  I just don't think the writing was there.
