And then it all ends with Brooke and all the men getting together for a gang bang.

Brooke's sleazy scandals presented as romance novel affairs.

Where is Deacon? He was also the love of her life.

Dave Reed's return would be interesting. The normal life she could have had as a special episode.

This is a rather bleh anniversary celebration. CBS should be going all out for a show that has managed to last 35 years. At the very least, it should have kicked off a big story. Murder mystery? Interrupted wedding? The typical "soap" storyline.

Well, there is that LIFE! CHANGING! TWIST! that they keep teasing us with.

LOL. Soap-inspired porn parodies are such a missed opportunity. They should do a gay one and just name the “Slut from the Valley” Brook instead of Brooke.

It's better they didn't do anything big for this week - already they are a day-behind the original schedule because of that one full pre-emption. I'm sure they'll be partial pre-emptions for the Supreme Court hearings this week, too.

The Brooke/Bad Santa 'romance' should stay in the past. Anyway, Brooke's best pairing were Deacon and Bill.

I know that, objectively, the term "gang bang" does not mean the same thing as gang rape.

However, I'm female and I find the term to have a rapey overtone.  And then when "gang bang" is used as a joke, I feel really uncomfortable.  Every women (of any age) that I've ever met dislikes the term.  Can't we just call it "fun group sex" or "hot group mutual pleasuring" or any other creative enjoyable term?   I have no problem with group sex. I simply dislike that terminology in this context.

It has nothing to do with rape. There is also a lesbian gangbang thing, I just googled it.  I saw the images and everybody seemed to love it.

Fun group sex and hot group sex mutual pleasuring, sound like something from a children's book with bears and ducks.

LOL, there's a reason why I'm not a writer, I don't come up with good words for things!  I don't want disney terminology.   I was simply hoping there is another (adult) term besides gangbang that means the same thing.

English is not my first language, but I doupt there is a "clean" word for this. There is no need to mention this act in a normal conversation, right? But we are discussing Brooke with her destinies and we are waiting for B&B's shocking twist, so... LOL

    • GET THAT HEFFA, NOSY NURSE!!!   I'm sorry to see Smitty and June coming to a middle ground. It seem like that tension would be between them for at least one more story arc. A writing change?   I'm sorry but I love the teen unit of Ty, Samantha, and Jessica (and Rocco, Danny, Charlotte over on GH which is what today is reminding me of). I'm a sucker for soap teens. lol.
    • I really hope Laura doesn’t get reelected. She doesn’t deserve it. Imagine her campaign staff, freaking out at the Metro Court as election results come in while she’s hanging out with Sonny.
    • Thanks for that. It was great to see her in an interview. She's very likable. Although it was somewhat confusing. What new soap is she talking about going on audition for in 1973. Was it The Young and the Restless? Is it just me or did they never even say the name of this soap opera? Days wasn't new in 1973 and there was no "Jack" with three daughters on The Young and the Restless. What soap are they talking about? The editing around that part was weird and choppy. I felt like there was a chunk missing or something. And I'm not sure why she was saying she got colorectal cancer from HPV and said it's because she never got the HPV vaccine but then said she's never had anal sex. I'm not a doctor but that didn't seem to make any medical sense. I don't know. Maybe I'm tired. It just seemed like some of this interview didn't make sense.
    • If it helps any, the last script cover from the Elman papers that I have is from episode #3,736 airdate November 15, 1977. Writers are the Hollands with Frank Salisbury.
    • B&B really does look incredible. The lighting and the polished sets have made a significant difference how visually appealing the show is now.
    • I found the problem with the Labine era was that the show lost some humour when the Labines came on and it could be dull. They also didn't seem to understand some of the characters. As others have said, it looks fantastic in comparison to the next regime but I just remember boredom being the primary response.
    • Something I didn't realize: Frank Ashmore, who played Monica's investigator Corrigan in 1981, was also Victor, the third guy in the cockpit, in Airplane!
    • Thanks, maybe I will skim through those episodes.  I have previously binged late 1985 through early 1987; April-June, August 1992 (I skipped Carlo Hesser murder trial), Jan-March 1995 and I began watching in 2006. I just struggle to stay consistent with routines especially binging routines haha
    • I could've sworn we went over the Bobbie thing a while ago, and saw her introduced to Rick and Lesley as "Nurse Barbara" in very late '77? Or was that early '78? I know the clip is online. Jackie always credited Marland with creating her IIRC.
    • Thanks.  Loon Lake - very on the nose. With that "dad" outfit Bo looks even more like Cassie's father...
